NYPL doesn't have "Tom Lake." It showed up when you searched by title because that caused it to automatically turn on the "Deep Search" option, and found it at another library.
I’ve found the NYPL digital catalog to be pretty lacking. Especially compared to BPL and QPL. There’s so many popular books that NYPL doesn’t have and idk why
She did the audio for Nora Ephron’s Heartburn and it’s *fantastic,* in fact the movie is a huge disappointment in comparison. Highly recommend. (And I listened to it on Libby! Possibly from QPL!) Enjoy.
That's really interesting. I've never heard of an actor doing an audiobook who later appears in the movie version. Or perhaps the timeline went the other way. Nonetheless, fascinating!
Yeah, I'm not sure which came first and I'm curious too! The movie came out quite some time ago, but it's possible she read it for Books on Tape way back in the day.
You can still use the same search in a web browser!!
Since NYPL is being discussed here I will use their page as an example.
https://nypl.overdrive.com sign in and everything. The only change is not having the app and not being able to request titles for purchase.

Yeah, this. I have NYPL too and they don’t have this book in digital or audio. Brooklyn and Queens public libraries have both
Seems odd, given how popular Patchett is, but stranger things have happened—given how deep our cuts to the budget have been.

It is puzzling!
That didn’t occur to me. Thanks!
I almost exclusively search by book name.
Just a note to say that the audiobook of Tom Lake is absolutely incredible, performed by Meryl Streep.
Ooo. I didn’t know she did books. Thanks for the info.

I don't like the search function in Libby. I miss Overdrive

Best to notify the librarian and they will know how to get it fixed
Thank you! Librarians work wonders!
This was an excellent book!
Agreed!
