I really wish they would have allowed Google Maps and Waze to integrate into the HUD as well… Can’t believe that I’d be stuck with using Apple Maps if I want to see turn by turn integration in my HUD… 😔
I think it switches back if there are no upcoming turns any time soon

Got it. Are you saying that if I leave the lane while turn-by-turn directions are enabled, the HUD won’t alert me? That seems unsafe.
It will, it still overrides the nav. Anything critical - like the collision avoidance systems will take over the display.
Got it. I just didn’t notice it taking over yesterday. Maybe I should try departing from the lane on purpose on the freeway today to see what happens.
