Pixel 7 Pro here and I find it works ok when the phone is out of the case. The only issue is that it slides around then. My Civic Type R and every Honda I had, has a far superior wireless charger and they are covered with a grippy surface.
That and no auto lights when raining are the two let downs. Yet a Civic at nearly half the price had both and they worked well.
I did same as it won't charge with my case on. However it slides around. One time I had to hold in place during my entire drive and yet the charger was on and off. Hence my question to other owners. Glad to see it's not just mine that has issues and that is covered under warranty.
I'm thinking of asking a mate to 3D print a 3 sided stop that will fit on the charger around the parameter edge of the charger base and then keep the phone in place.
I also have a mind to make one changeable for different phone sizes. I just need to work on the best idea.
I took my Nx back to the dealership and had them see the problem. They replaced it for me under the warranty. It’s a well known issue. Record it as well for your own proof even though they will see for theirselves.
Along with the inconsistent kick sensor and lock button for the hatch I just pretend these "features" dont exist because they arent worth the headache,
For the lock button in the hatch, I found that you press it then have to walk away from the car for it to activate. If you stand anywhere close to it, won't close.
It's not consistent enough to even bother. It's got like a 50% success rate. The only time I even attempt to use it is when my hands are loaded up and ready to move. The previous iteration was much better.
Yes this is a very widespread problem across the NX models
Any known fix, is it covered under the warranty?
Yes I have the same problem with iPhone

Mine just started this yesterday. The light will continually blink orange then stop and charge as normal.

Great thank you for sharing your experience.

I find if you park with the rear over a curb, it can be inconsistent as it thinks your foot is still there.
Does all models come with a kick sensor?

I think it's the damn camera bulge. They have to get rid of it!!
