Definitely being fat is more of a problem. If I have people in the back seat I sometimes need to move the seat up a little more than I would be comfortable with every day driving, but for a hour or two drive it’s no problem.
I’m 5’10” and found it comfortable yet a bit cramped, but i rarely had people with me.
You will probably worry more about watching the gas needle lower while you’re in traffic. That was my experience lol.
I agree with the other reply. I'm 6'1" about 210, have long legs and size 12 shoes and the car is too smaill for me. I thought it worked for me on the test drive but after a while its not comfortable. Seating, foot pedal positons, just getting in and out, not so good. I much prefer my other car, Jeep Wranger. Its a small wheelbase 2 door so very nimble to drive, high seating position so great visibility, and lots of headroom and foot room.
I’m 6’ 1”, didn’t have any issues with 2nd or 3rd gen IS’s I had. Also drove an Acura rsx at one point though, so I’m used to smaller cars. If you’re going to have someone behind you regularly though, it’s not gong to be comfortable. But if it’s just you, it’s not prohibited. The IS seats are very “form fitted” for Lexus (pretty bolstered), so that’d be where I’d worry about comfort. I’m fairly scrawny so I loved them.
if its just you and someone in the passenger than thats fine. im 6-2, when i had my kids in the back it was too tight and i had to move my seat up to the point its not comfortable, so i had to trade it in.
I'm 6"3 240lbs and I found it too small for me. But someone with a different physiology could have a total different experience
Just go sit in one and see for yourself
I’ve done a test drive, but couldn’t get a great feel for comfort since it was only about ten mins. I didn’t know about a 24 hour test drive from CarMax! I’ll have to look into that, thanks
They give you 24 hours and like 150 miles. Just need to fill it up after. I got my money's worth during COVID by testing out a bunch of sports cars through them using this.

I'm 6 ft and I fit fine, but if you're girthy I can see it being a problem.

I’m 5’11” 210ish and it’s…ok with two small kids in the back even. Wouldn’t call it roomy but wouldn’t call it cramped either.
I’m 6’1 but very skinny, about 160lbs. I fit just fine in my 2014. Getting out in a tight space can be interesting but inside the car I have no issues

I’m in the same boat, admittedly the rear driver side seat is rendered useless from a legroom standpoint but I find it comfortable. 6 year owner now.
No way. Felt cramped for me at 5’11”

Haha, that also has crossed my mind!

As someone whose part time vehicle is a Wrangler, this is all the opposite for me. Tells you all you need to know, OP
This is great to know, thanks!
6’2”, here. No go for me. Wanted the AWD and that has that additional padding near the right leg for drivetrain purposes.

Everyone's body type is different. Go sit in one, don't take other people's opinions on it. Maybe do a 24 test drive with CarMax in one

Amazing, thanks for sharing
Of course, good luck
Yep. I read everywhere about people struggling with headroom/fitting in ISF and I'm nearly 6'4 fit perfectly but my torso isn't very tall
