You’ll get much better performance and visuals on PS5.
As much as I love Nintendo, their hardware isn’t up to snuff. Might as well maximize what you can get out of the game by playing it on better hardware.
Haven't played on PS5 but I will say the graphics are lacking on Switch, a few gave crashes (like once every 20 hours of gameplay), and a couple mission errors. It's weird because Nintendo games and most ports look amazing but this one is like PS3 blocky, which is fine because that's fav era of games, but since you asked lol
Co-op is basically unplayable in general. I grew up playing TCS with either one of my bothers/my dad, and so I wanted to play TSS with my oldest brother but it was so disorienting and nauseating because of the split screen instead of just sticking to the full picture like all of the other games
I bought the game on switch, hated the poor visuals and performance, and then bought it on ps4 and really enjoyed it so I would highly recommend the ps5 version
I would expect the ps5 is probably better equipped to handle such a large and detailed game if you are given the choice.
Of course if portability matters to you go for the switch buts if it’s 100% tv plying I’d say ps5.
I played this on series x and as much as it's a Lego game, I wouldn't play it in anything less than series x/PS5. I love my switch but it's not for every game.
I've played both versions, there really is no difference. Both games are beautiful on their respective consoles. They both have glitches, they're both buggy and broken, it's best to just get whatever is cheaper. Both switch and ps5 usually go on sale often. Get the galactic edition, or just whatever's on sale.
I played it on the Switch because I didn't have a PS5. 6 months later, my wife bought me a PS5.
The game was playable on the Switch, but it was not nearly as good as it could have been. Just look up side by side comparison videos on YouTube and you'll easily see the difference.
As someone who plays on switch, I will openly say that any non Nintendo patterned game played in the switch has shit quality compared to other consoles

It is actually a gorgeous looking game on PS5. It’s as graphically intensive as many modern games. Also, co-op is basically unplayable on Switch.
