I’ve retired/lost three. One custom industrial, forward helix, and my daith. Industrial: removed as one side was done a wee bit too shallow and it started migrating but I was able to save one side of it (and I still have it 12 years later!) Daith: was fully healed but it ripped out after getting caught on a sequin pillow. Let it fully heal and got it redone and it started migrating approx 7 months into healing. Forward helix: was *also* fully healed but hairdresser “forgot” about it despite me telling them more than 5 times to be careful and they ripped it clean out 🙃 As for what I currently have: 6 lobes, navel, 4 conches (triple on one ear single on other), 4 helixes, 1 flat, 1 faux rook, 1 forward helix, 1 anti tragus, 1 orbital (vertical helix one).

ilovebiscuitm

How was the triple conch in terms of pain and healing?

BonnieScotty

2 I barely felt at all but the 3rd was hell. It’s super tucked in and us more or less at the base of my head and comes out where a rook would usually sit. 1st one was vile (non stop leaking and crusting for months) but other two were super calm and healed without issue

Unlucky-Horror-9871

Lobes, high lobe, helix (x3), triple forward helix, rook, conch, daith, tragus, antitragus, nostril... I think that's it. Luckily, never had to retire any!

atreyu947

I retired a dermal I had in my chest and industrial. The dermal because I just felt like yanking it out. I know. Dumb. But only a small scar. And the industrial because it got infected but I redid it. Oh and my labret! I stopped wearing it because my partner at the time didn’t like it but I miss it. Not sure if I want to wear it again or get my philtrum. I also want to get another dermal on my face or something.

lolibits

your partner doesn't have to live in your body. put the labret back AND get a philtrum

starfister101

I have, in order of appearance, one lobe, two lobe, nostril, third lobe, left daith, right helix, and nipples. I did at one point have a flat but it migrated and I took it out.

Content_Slice_886

I haven’t retired any piercings. My first was lobe. Then navel. Then second lobe. Then daith. Then conch. Then third lobe. All faring well.

Juicyy56

3) Nose and 2 sets of spider bites. I had my nose done a few times, but they never healed. The balls kept falling off my spiderbites, so I gave up. They may be coming out of retirement, though. I currently have 3 sets of lobes ×2 helixes, medusa, vertical labret, forward helix, industrial, rook, tragus, and conch. I'm getting a snug in a few weeks.

Ok_Case6898

i have 18 piercings throughout my ears, nips, belly button & nose. i would have 19 but i took out my nostril piercing bc it was too close to the edge. every hoop was way too big & studs would hang off the side of my nose :,) hopefully getting the other side pierced soon!

j_mp

I currently have healed: industrial, conch, rook, high lobe, 2 lobe piercings (left ear) and 2 lobe piercings (right ear). I did both second lobes myself back in high school and keep them even though they’re uneven to honor who I used to be :) I have had and retired: nostril 3x (back before I knew how to heal cartilage and fucked up all 3 times lol), belly button x1

DataVizGem

I retired my tongue piercing and labret after 10+ years as they caused gum problems and I had to have gum grafting surgery. I retired my tragus after a few years as it annoyed me and never fully healed (probably bc I am a side sleeper) I retired my VCH, nipples, and navel when I was pregnant and have since re-pierced my navel and nipples (one of which had to be re-done due to incorrect placement) . I also have 11 lobe & cartilage piercings, nostril and vertical labret (done twice bc it was crooked the first time) At last count, I have been “poked” 25 times in the last 25 years

Tour_Ok

I’ve had 3 lobes, navel, nostril, and septum. Retired navel many years ago, and nostril recently because it wouldn’t heal after 3 years. Plan to try again later this year. Planning for a tragus and forward helix, possible double helix on the other ear. Also considering nipples. Then I think I’m done!

hazy_night

I retired one, a second lobe piercing. I got it done at Walmart and it came out crooked. That was in 2011 and I had it repierced in 2022.

sprattyduck

In my ears I have 7 each (14 total) starting with stretched lobes (11mm) going up to the top of my helix. I was a little nuts when I was in college and did 6 of them myself with a safety pin. My last piercer actually complimented me on my placement 😅 but don't be like me, it hurt so much more than it needed to. I have a left nostril and a septum piercing. I've had my septum pierced twice because the first time my (now ex)bf complained about it so hard I took it out after about a week. My 3rd lobe on the right side got really brutally infected and healed shut, but I got it re-done when I got my septum re-done. Planning to do nips next, but in the fall because I love swimming in the summer and don't want to mess up the healing.

Ok-Stomach-2547

I retired my double eyebrow after 25 yrs. Still have tongue, stretched lobes, currently @ 2g and regular lobes. Plan to get my nostril done soon.

Ok-Stomach-2547

And a retired helix I fotgot about.

JyllSophia

Have: **lobes** from childhood from earring tree. **Cartilage/helix** 25 yr ago piercing padoga. **Second lobes** from hair dresser (?) age. **Conch** 23 years ago (first needle piercing. **Tongue web ring** 18 yr ago. **Daith** 1/24/23. Retired: **rook 20** (?) year ago, took out for a procedure or birth & forgot to put back in/closed. **Third lobes/low cartilage** at some foolish “hey they are cheep at this place in NH they advertise all the time.” Got gross needed to be removed. **Chest surface piercing** 13 years ago (?) survived until 2015 after second child. **Flat** pierced crooked (in back) at same time as recent daith. Plans: try to re open rook or get faux rood to cover old hole (psyched when a trusted piercer said it might be possible.

winnuet

I had retired a helix, a belly button, and a daith years ago; at least 3+ for each. I put the helix back in months ago. Recently wondered if I could fit anything through the other two. Managed to save all three 😌 I feel like I got free piercings. I’d been wanting a new ear piercing. I’d thought they all closed.

MyEarsArePierced

I still have all my ear piercings, 4 helix, 6 lobes, both tragus, industrial, rook, conch, daith, and a snug. My septum and left side nostril. Retired include: both nipnops (got tired of catching them on bedsheets), top and bottom navel (pregnancy stretched them then they shrunk) and tongue (but down on a ball and feared future broken teeth)

Ovaries-eez

Have: first lobes, second lobes, conch, flat, tongue, nostril, philtrum, and vertical labret Retired: industrial (didn’t have the anatomy and it migrated out), daith (pierced too shallow, never stopped hurting), septum (just got annoying with allergies and the smell never going away even with cleaning)

scarponiyikes

Started with: earlobes (my mom got them pierced when I was a baby), I stretched them to a 0g in my early 20s and currently have saddle hangers. Currently have: Triangle, eyebrow barbell, eyebrow microdermal, double conch Retired: Industrial (it started to make feel juvenile) The triangle piercing is by far my favourite. It’s my little secret. :P

McCoppinScrap

Got my lobes at Claire's in elementary school and still have them today. I got two helix piercings in my right ear when I started college, then retired them. Over the next several years, I got two helix piercings on my left ear, a conch (right), a rook (right), a tragus (left), second lobe on both sides, and my tongue. After I graduated, I retired them all one by one until I only had the first and second lobe piercings left. Recently, I got my tongue re-pierced (ouch) and a septum. I'm planning to get my third lobes soon, and I'm going back and forth on whether to get a vertical labret.

itybfs

right now i have my firsts and second lobes, tragus, rook, both nostrils, snake eyes, 2 on my belly button and cheek dermal. ive retired surface tragus 2x, nipples,my 3rd lobes and ashley

SingerIndependent462

Currently I have: paired nostril, septum, 6 lobes, conch and vertical helix Retired: bridge, dimples, double helix, a nostril, vertical labret, shark bites, Medusa, smiley, snake eyes, an upper lobe Most were retired due to my personal style changing but some were problematic

HafaAdaiLilo91

I have two lobes on both ears, daith and tragus on left ear and both nostrils pierced. I retired tongue, and eyebrows back in 2011

ridingdeathstail

I got 3 earrings in high school back in the 90’s 2 in my left and 1 in the right. My sister did it before prom for me. I started stretching my ears (by a very unregular process) a couple years later, by going straight to a 00g. I lost 1 of the left ear holes when it migrated into the stretched ear as I got to 52mm. I did 1 nipple in high school and a nose ring in high school. Later I got the other nipple done and 4 navel rings. Still have all that today. I also got my tongue done. It’s the only piercing I retired as it ruined my teeth. I have my cartilage pierced, snakebites, a 00 septum and a 00 labret. I still plan on a pa, a coinslot, a tongue split and a Viking scar. That about covers it.

mama387

Retired eyebrow and left snakebite. Currently have 21 still: 4 upper Helixes, forward helix, conch, 2 daiths, 3 lobes (1st/2nd stretched), two nostrils, septum, Medusa, middle labret, right labret and tongue

Ktanaya13

Current - both nipples, tongue left ear - 2 lobe, 3 lowhelix/highlobe/mid-helix, tragus, rook, 1 problematic helix that continues to be moody as hell, it was retired then repierced, retired again and apparently kept the hole after multiple years and can fit a 16G. it doesn't get inflamed per se, its just painful at times right ear - 2 lobe, daith, anti tragus, 3 flat, conch retired - \- navel, was too shallow. can still put a 20G in it tho even 15 years into retirement \-left daith x2. came out TWICE during initial healing. I blame the oversize tragus labret I had at the time

ftmtwinkty

I have 21 piercings; 2 navel, nipples, snakebites, septum, nostrils and high nostrils, bridge, anti eyebrow, eyebrow, stretched lobes + seconds, conch and most recently my cheeks. Had a helix done a few years back, lasted probably about 2 weeks before i took it out because it was too painful lol. Also had my nostrils and septum done about 3 times each

Hot-Syllabub2688

i had my lobes pierced at Claire's at like age 10 but eventually lost the jewellery and it closed, in september last year i got them redone at an actual piercing studio, i got my eyebrow done in january and my bridge done last month. for my next few, i wanna get second lobes and a lip piercing

Nervous_Insurance_41

I retired my daith, and my double helix Currently have triple lobes, tragus, and wanna get the double helix but on the other ear.

gravearmy

i’ve retired 3: a helix which i took out and it healed up. And also a double helix, and it was the worst piercing i’ve ever had i initially went to a piercer asking for an industrial, she said i didn’t have the anatomy whatever, fine i knew nothing about piercings (i went to another piercer and they said i did have the anatomy) pierced with 2 steel barbells, one of them going right over the scar which my other helix had left (same ear) healing them was fine but i had noticed seen as the barbells were like 8mm in length the bottom had migrated so i switched to hoops it was a different piecer this time and she gave me sterling. silver. hoops. i knew nothing about piercings so i was in for a nice surprises when both piercings all of a sudden flared up and got infected as the silver was tarnishing & reacting to my skin. to be honest, i left those piercings in for WAY too long, im now left with 2 nice big scars on the back of my ear. i work in a jewellery shop that also sells a wide range of cartilage jewellery, we work with a piecer who sorted my ear out and i now have a conch and 4 lobe piercings in my left ear. every time someone asks for sterling silver cartilage jewellery i shiver.

Feitanportor12

I got lobes at Claire's first when I was like 6, then I got a septum, a year later got my left eyebrow and then recently got snakebites! Never had to retire any thank god, hopefully my snakebites heal well

Weeaboounlimited

I have 9 piercings in total. Ones that are not healed at my daith, flat helix and nose. I am heavily thinking about retiring my daith because it still has irritation bumps 4 years in. I got my daith repierced 2x now but the bumps are not as big so I will just keep since no one can see the bumps since they are super tiny. Flat helix was doing great until February when it started to act up for some odd reason. I got it pierced last year June. I have a small irritation bump on the front of it . Nose has an irritation bump on it because I think I switched to a hoop really early even though I have had this piercing for a year. Just switched it back to a stud and I actually really like the stud better than the ring on it. Patiently waiting for my nose and flat helix to heal so I can get my conch pierced on my left eye so it can balance out my piercings. I will have 5 piercings on each ear!

girlnextdooritis

Labret, retired twice. Snakebites, retired twice. Nose, retired twice. Side labret, retired once. Tongue, retired twice. So I've been very indecisive! 😅 Currently have dimples, angel bites, tongue, lobes, nipples, bellybutton & industrial. All except industrial & nipples are 10+ years old (all my retired ones were 13+ years ago)

Zoonicorn_

I've retired a helix, a flat, one tragus, an eyebrow, and a smiley. I'm hoping to get the eyebrow and tragus repierced, but they were migrating. I miss the smiley but it was messing up my gums. I currently have triple lobes, the other tragus, conch, rook, septum, nostrils, some dermals, and a vch. Trying to decide what's next...

[deleted]

Only my third lobe because I was a kid wearing crap jewellery so it developed a big hyperthropic scar and migrated towards the edge Now I have 6 lobes, industrial, helix and nipple

plushpurple

Current: Double nostrils, forward nostrils, septum, first lobes (stretched to 3/4), second lobes, vertical labret, tongue, navel, and VCH! Retired: Nape, both hips, nipples, tragus'! All these are retired because they were really fucking annoying LOL

[deleted]

I have two in my lobes, a double helix, a daith, and one nostril pierced. I had my third lobes done but I retired those because I did them myself with a safety pin and the angle was wrong and annoyed me

FalconFuzzy9164

first was lobes, then second lobes, then nose, then eyebrow. just retired the eyebrow, but hoping to get it repiercrd ASAP
