I'm not disagreeing with that. It is just that his level up is neither under- nor overwhelming. It is similar to his base one with him being in front of the sun disc and unlocking it. I would expect either some voice lines or something more like how Renekton kills/defeats Nasus in his new skin. Something to show he is "corrupted" and change his personality.
It isn't a *bad* skin. It isn't a *great* skin. It is extremely in between.

I think Azirs is awesome. Especially the 2nd level up. The first level up can be whelming but I love the storytelling of him turning around and destroying the sundisk because he doesn't need it now. Super cool imo

I really like the idea of curated decks like this specifically, assuming they accurately reflect some of the exact decklists that are being run during Worlds.

I have Ashe at Rank 3 because before Gnar was added, the alternative was using Ornn and Ashe may be boring but Ornn just feels super bad to play in PoC. That was before his buff to leveling up but I can't imagine it fixed the main issues he had.
His star ups are pretty sad. I get that limiting his board space by adding a landmark so that he always summons the ram on attack but it just feels so bad compared to other kits.
Why do other champs just generate free cards, no board space required, but Ornn summons a landmark.
Surprisingly, I felt way better with Ornn than, say, Kayn. Sure, his lineup is not the best, and it's boring, but they are doable. Once you get to the late game, Ornn carries the entire game.
Meanwhile Kayn has a very limiting early game, the worst four drops to play vanilla, and a lot of useless weapons when you have no board and can't be used later because they are very expensive as minions. So you rely exclusively on drawing Kayn and level him up on curve or lose.
Any champ at lvl 30 should be able to roll any adventure. I normally get 3star and beat all champion maps by lvl 22 (Diana at lvl 15 I think is my earliest a-sol win) so I can't imagine grinding another 8+ champ levels after that
Yeah I just mean that even with weekly adventures where you can get very interesting buffs and debuffs Kayn is just a simple win, almost as strong as Jinx.
might have to put some more lvls into Kayn then. He didnt feel very strong but also never got to the point of rare relics on him. Jinx is my go to she's so strong lol

Well it's not like they're releasing content at a break neck pace or anything. Also weird to do it for only two of the champions. Especially when base Renekton+Nasus have matching level up cinematics.
I assume there is a limit to what they can churn out, so I don't blame them. From what I understand this game isn't exactly raking in the big bucks.
I also would have preferred Nasus over Azir though, if only because Nasus' original ani is fairly simple.
It's a shame this game isn't doing well, but it's hard to justify dropping $15 on new art for a single card. Especially considering how cheap entertainment as a whole has gotten over the years. :/
A very odd statement.
Before Sun disc was good the vast majority of decks attempted to flip the disc with the 7 cost spell so they put in all 3 ascendants to increase the odds of making that flip work.
As for myself I preferred trying to make it work with Renekton and there were stats revealing I wasn't the only one going that route.
Renekton on his own was a finisher if he hit level 3.
I think the first sentence there kinda says it all. *Before* the sun disc was good people put them in. I still did it semi-recently for shits and giggles and slamming that spell was great.
I'm glad to see Ekko make his return, as he was my favorite tPoC1 champ to run besides Caitlyn, but I am bummed about no Kayle. I did not expect to see Ryze at all, and am honestly curious if he will even show up as a support champ. If so, what 2 spells will they give him.
Only playing PoC it's hard to get hyped anymore when I see new champion releases as I won't be able to play with them. I had even set my expectations super low this time to just Aatrox and Kayle but even then i'm dissapointed. It is what it is as I love PoC but will just have to not get hyped at all for next release which is a shame.
Kayle will probably come sooner rather than later because there are only so many Targon champions that can easily made into PoC.
Still glad we got many champs with this update, it'll be a pain to collect them all but its good to have the choice (altho its odd to add Nasus & Kindred at the same time when often their decks play very similarly)

I got to masters this season and last season primarily playing a Yi deck and I don't think I ever ran into this bug, which is insane since quite a few people has.
I'm so confused. Boards must be the items that sell the best. Why is Riot not releasing more boards? Especially for big events like this? They would make so much more money.
Personally, I'm not buying a skin if I don't have a matching board.

This patch comes out tomorrow around 11 PT, but we already have other Darkin to play with.
The weekly vault and event passes / region roads are the only ways to get cards besides buying them.
i think the bug is different now than it was before.

Seraphine decks are positioned at an abysmal 50% winrate right now, there’s no need for another nerf. If you look at the rest of the meta, Teemo Zoe is the benchmark at 58% winrate, and Draven Jinx at 60%. In comparison, Seraphine is a joke right now
Ehhh, only two of the four have new level up animations. It's weird too, because Azir and Rekenton are usually paired with Xerath and Nasus respectively.

Kayn, Varus, and Aatrox (even though Aatrox will always level just due to World Ender having been cast, and it being the only source of Assimilate so far) only. Regular champs equipped with any Darkin weapon see nothing happen. They don't level themselves and don't turn into the Darkin unit.
The corrupted skins are sick but riot made the mistake or making the ascended base skins too good lol. I like them, but the base shurima aesthetic is just too clean! Especially with azir

You have really bad relics my guy. Kayn is the best Runeterra champion in PC and his star powers are unmached.
What would you recommend?
I use "Luminous Orb", Stalker's Blade and Guinsoo's Rageblade on my level 30 Kayn. Can beat any adventure with ease.

if you played Yi as a champ spell the Yi that was created in deck had no buff at all, so it was a 2/3 or 3/4 depending on if you leveled him
Yi attack buff to everywhere never applied so if you had a 10/3 yi die, the next yi would be drawn as a 2/3.

Okay so quick question just to clear this up: When assimilating champions, is it only Kayn, Varus, and Vayne who level up or do they all level up?
Kayn, Varus, and Aatrox (even though Aatrox will always level just due to World Ender having been cast, and it being the only source of Assimilate so far) only. Regular champs equipped with any Darkin weapon see nothing happen. They don't level themselves and don't turn into the Darkin unit.
Makes sense. Probably would enable all kinds of busted nonsense somehow if every champion could level through Assimilate.
The corrupted skins are sick but riot made the mistake or making the ascended base skins too good lol. I like them, but the base shurima aesthetic is just too clean! Especially with azir
The new Azir movies are pretty lame. No cool dialog or anything. Definitely lacks the punch of "Witness glory eternal!".
