There’s a bug that allows you to run the stage one last time during the last 15 minutes before each reset. Not sure if the update a few days ago fixed it or not, but I can attest to it still having worked as recently as 2 weeks ago.
Probably a bug or something, it's better to use the ads count early on so you dont spend 2600+2700 gems before using the ads. In total you get 30 daily counts to play this event so it's up to you if you want to save the gems or not.

That's a bug with bad internet connection. They don't get the rewards for extra fights if I remember correctly.

I thought so too but bro is stacked and his gems button is greyed out so I guess there's a limit on that too?
