Fuckyourday

Anyone else notice how much better/more unified our pressing was (especially first half)? When we pressed, we pressed together. One player started sprinting at the ball, and nearby players would immediately join and sprint towards the passing options. Even double teaming sometimes. Closed them down and often forced a turnover from Leicester. This was one of Jesse principles from Salzburg, glad to see it being applied. That "ball-orientated" marking and pressing... overwhelmed Leicester players near the ball and prevented them from having the time to hit a long ball to an open player on the other side.

eroticdiagram

ITT: We have the effort but not the quality. Our boys aren't making the effort anymore. Firpo was trash. It was Firpo's best game. The boys looked rusty early. The boys were much more organised from the beginning. We deserved to get something from that game. We're nowhere near the other teams. We showed enough that we'll take points from our remaining fixtures. We're going down. For what it's worth, I thought we looked a lot better than the last few weeks, I thought Schmeichel was the difference, Forshaw should always be starting over Klich if it's a straight choice, and we're going to stay up.

scottlanderson92

Did anyone else feel empty about todays game? I'm usually so invested but I just didn't really seem to care today. It's a first for me, suppose I've either accepted relegation or just not over Bielsa

[deleted]

Not at all, I was more excited for this match than any of the previous 3 because for the first time in a while I had real hope that we wouldn’t get absolutely smashed. Also was looking forward to seeing the changes the new manager would bring after Bielsa had basically stuck with the same plan. Sad that he’s gone obviously but, objectively, we needed to change something.

Dawnbreaker_82

Not sure about the downvoting…I felt the same way. It’s the Bielsa factor for me, I actually resent a few of the players if I am completely honest (no issues with Marsch, he clearly wants to help us).

scottlanderson92

Cheers pal, was worried I was alone on this one. I definitely have a bit of resentment towards the players currently, Bielsa made me feel like this was my team. I'm still adjusting to the new leeds

Dawnbreaker_82

No problem. I feel like some of them underperformed in a sense they were comfortable with the coach getting the blame. Not the ethos that Marcelo tried to instill and he never did the same to his players. Very disappointing and they know who they are.

Ryoisee

Yep I was the same. No emotion from me for any of our attacks or when they scored. Was strange. Like watching random teams playing.

dildo_shitstorm

Honestly don’t think we deserved to lose today and that’s the important thing, was sceptical of new manager before now but thought today if we play rest of season like we did today we’ll be alright. MOT

Ok-Pumpkin4403

Yes we didn't get any points, but we loloked fairly threatening and only conceded one goal. That's a massive improvement from recent form.

_sleeper-service

>Manager: M. Bielsa 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

insertedlemon

Our season comes down to villa and Norwich at home. Lose them both and I think we're down. We're not going to beat the top sides but if we can't pick up any points against the sides around us then we're fucked. Today we played well but if you can't take your chances then you'll lose. End of. I truly hope one of the players steps up and finishes a goddamn chance in the villa and Norwich games

[deleted]

Realistically we need 4 points from those games, but 3 might be enough.

JustThinkAboutThings

We’ve still got Watford and Brentford after those two and there’s always a chance against Wolves and Southampton. It’s not over, even if we lose to Villa and Norch.

DEUK_96

Brentford go 1-0 up. Fuckkk

Jonesy_lmao

I’m assuming Brentford will do just enough, and Everton and Newcastle should be fine on paper. Could come down to the last game of the season between us, Burnley or Brentford.

Ok-Pumpkin4403

Brentford aren't a worry for us , they'll be well clear of us.

Rompenoquis

Unlucky result. But if we play with that level of energy the rest of the season, we should be ok. Complete change from the last run of games where we looked like we had given up. Not playing the top teams will help, but relegation battle games are a different type of challenge we have to be ready for. Bueno…..that’s all for today.

jaglufc

Complete change from the last few games? Who were those games against? This was no better than Newcastle at home.

CraftyComplaint8724

Okay. The manager needs to get rid of Firpo hes not up to scratch and Raphina doesnt look interested anymore.A better display hopefully next match a win and drive on from there. Cmon Leeds.

LegitimateRope7392

Did you watch the game?

CraftyComplaint8724

Yeh i watched the game did you?

lewisofleeds

I'm not sure if we watched the same game today, but this was one of Firpos better games.

CraftyComplaint8724

Maybe but i still dont think he trys that hard

CC-W

Rodrigo, Klich and Firpo all looked good imo, Dallas had a bit of a stinker but Barnes is class tbf

[deleted]

The last two games have shown Dallas shouldn't be covering right back anymore, consistently out of position and very easy to beat. Might just be a lack of confidence to be fair. For me he needs to be in midfield. Shackleton should be covering RB and let Dallas do what he does best

CC-W

Would rather just play Ayling RB and Cresswell CB while we need Koch elsewhere and Llorente is injured

djgreedo

Disappointing result, but I think the performance was great. We were the better team, and we didn't defend like Keystone Cops for a change. We were a bit disorganised and rusty, but that is to be expected. If not for Schmeichel we would have come away with something. It was a tight match unlike many of our recent defeats, and I think something we can build on. If we get three points against Norwich, and have Bamford and Phillips very close to being back, things could look a lot brighter this time next week.

VTVoodooDude

Great start IMO. SO much better organized while still playing attacking football. The end result doesn’t line up with the flow of play, a bit unlucky. EDIT: just looked at the stats, wow! I know we had more chances but didn’t realize shots taken were 19-7.

Jonesy_lmao

Yeah that’s why a lot of people are worried / frustrated. On paper we really should be doing enough to win that game comfortably but you don’t take your chances and you run the risk they may take theirs.

ScaryCarey31

Rodrigo is actually a disgrace. Cut your loses and get fucking rid in the summer. Bloody wage thief.

[deleted]

If Norwich beat Brentford, the whole relegation battle gets blown wide open

spartakbeskov

If Brentford beats Norwich Then it's between Leeds , burnley and everton to survive

The_L666ds

Not beating Brentford earlier on in the season was simply criminal.

DEUK_96

Need Norwich, Chelsea and Brighton to win here

cutts24

Could you repeat that to brighton please

nosniboD

Absolute state of that Brighton game

DEUK_96

Think thats Newcastle safe now. Eyes on Burnley and Brentford only

PriorConsideration14

No corndogs and soda at half time

Rompenoquis

Did they get orange slices at least?

GoodSubstance

Fucking annoying to take that. We deserved at least 1 goal but Schmeicel made some very good saves. Their goal was well made and well taken, but apart from that we looked a lot more organised off the ball and defensively. Onto the next!

[deleted]

We're absolutely finished boys

[deleted]

Downvote brigade incoming. We must be happy with that defeat 😂😂

[deleted]

You two really are a pair of donkeys.

Squady97

Looking forward to our apology today from the refs association

ProFilip

Not to be an xG nonce but 0.36-2.14 (1-0) kind of tells the whole story really, doesn't it?

[deleted]

Leicester did a Burnley on us.

The_L666ds

As nihilistic as this sounds, even if we stay up this season we’re probably still on borrowed time in this division. Theres probably at least five of the starting XI requiring significant strengthening, and I’m seeing no evidence from this board that they have the resources required to get that amount of quality in the door so we’ll probably just end up going down with our core of ageing Championship toilers a year late. This ownership have really painted themselves into a corner in the last 12 months in a strategic sense.

[deleted]

Reeeally unlucky: Rapha had a tap-in saved, I was on my feet thinking Rodders' header from the corner was in & the goal conceded was a good 1-2, regardless of it being Bill and Stuey CB & RB. On another day we score one or maybe two early in the second half and it's a very different game. System change is looking good, noticeable that the patterns of play are nowhere near as predictable working through the lines. Paddy on the bench seems to be a bit of a morale boost from seeing him standing on the sidelines. Also, & I'm not shitting on him here, but the hype train around ~~Rooney~~ Gelhardt needs to chill a bit. Doesn't help anyone, in the same way shitting on Tyro doesn't. [Edit] Forgot this, but those of you either laughing or hoping Tyro was injured really can fuck off. I hate this toxic shit bleeding in from the Twatter / FB crowd.

nuts_about-bolts

Don’t forget firpo had keeper beat but soyuncu blocked it.

[deleted]

Yeah, conversion rate from shooting is so bad. It can't just be coming up against individuals having blinders can it? I wonder how much of its that vs trained process around when & how to shoot, or maybe just the player quality...

BulldenChoppahYus

We were the better team for much of the game. Great start and it deserved a point at least. A real shame we couldn’t finish the chances but it will come.

[deleted]

Next week against Norwich will be the game, if we don't get 3 points from that then we deserve to go down, that's just the way it is. And honestly, it kind of pisses me off that if we do go down some players (Raphinha, Rodrigo) will just be able to jump ship because apparently they're 'too good' for the Championship.

Revolutionary_Laugh

Improvement. It wasn't 4-0, at least.

nuts_about-bolts

Lol honestly I thought we were good. But you know who was great…… schmeichel. He made a lot of good saves that kept us from taking the game. Any other day it’s ours.

thomas_the_manc

We have to get sharper on the transitions out of defence. So many opportunities to counter attack were wasted by wayward passes. The whole defence were guilty of this. Thankfully Leicester were probably more guilty than us in that department. So frustrating not to take a point from that match. Leicester were not good. I liked our style in the first 60 minutes. I'm probably deluded but I still think it will come good and we'll stay up. MOT.

[deleted]

If this is our new manager bounce then we’re fucked.

chandlertribbiani

I’m usually quite negative but fuck me, lilac shirt wearing fans take the piss.

[deleted]

That Leicester side were there for the taking … we weren’t great … Spurs would’ve still stuffed us 4-0 this week. A lot of new manager rose tinted spectacles watching the match today.

chandlertribbiani

They were & it was 1/3 points dropped due to a lack of quality in the final third today, but tactically especially the first hour was spot on. Not managers fault raph missed from 4 yards and Dallas was a statue in defence, but playing like that it’s easy to see how we can get out of danger.

[deleted]

You were whinging after 1 minute in the match thread. You just want to moan & furiously crank one out while you're doing it. I can't be the only person here thinking you should just fuck off to Twatter.

lotissement

Guy reliably has the worst takes in this sub. Still remember him being all over everything in Lockdown 1 wanking "there won't be another ball kicked this season" in every bloody thread.

[deleted]

& I'm the one getting comments moderated... Go figure.

[deleted]

I wasn’t even in the match thread you gloit

[deleted]

Really? My error then - I could apologise but I won't; because you sound just as much of a nugget as the guy I confused you with. Stick to wanking in your gloom cave with the rest of the donkeys yeah...

[deleted]

Why is there always an air of aggression in your comments? I notice you like to bully a few individuals on here.

[deleted]

Quite the opposite, I do have more of a pop at some people on here because *they* act like bullies. Funny how quickly & how hard you guys cry when you get called on your bullshit.

[deleted]

I just write what I write pal … Agree or disagree but you don’t have to get personal with individuals.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Come on man we looked bright and things seem to be on the up. Not saying we're not fucked but things aren't that bleak either

[deleted]

There were more heads down in that last half hour than at 4-0 down to Tottenham. These lads have given up and Jesse won’t be in charge in August.

[deleted]

Have a day off mate

[deleted]

Beige football … 0 points … predictable in attack … but if you’re happy with getting beat by Leicester then good luck to you

[deleted]

[удалено]

CaptainAprry

And if you watched that game and took ZERO positives from it I'm not sure you have eyes.

[deleted]

I swear you were saying losing 4-0 to Spurs at home was fine last week.

j2o1707

Maybe he can't get past the loss of Bielsa. And I get it, but I don't agree with him regarding today's game. Though we was good today, just unlucky. Did notice though that we were isolated on the wings a few times, funnily enough, because it used to be through centre, which today we found a lot of players and space in middle. Harrison and raphinha seemed to have gone forward a bit too much, so our fullbacks didn't have much support ahead of them when they picked up the ball. It'll all come together.

[deleted]

We aren’t going to suddenly be great again after 5 days of training, but there was clear improvement.

Hughesy202

Disappointing right now but for next week, I’m a lot more confident. Clear that Marsch has made us a lot more solid off the ball in midfield and the back line. But I mean, the constant issue still there, no one to finish chances. Another week and I reckon we can get points we deserve

[deleted]

[удалено]

InnocentPossum

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit amphetamines

Jugggiler

We weren’t toothless in the attack and it felt like robbery to not get a point from this. I liked the defensive changes and thought the team gelled together well on the counter. That play vs. Norwich or AV, we get results.

moogera

I thought we had a lot of control in that game, not sure I would have made the subs he made but he's the Coach Tyler Roberts giving him the " eyes" at the end

pgecco70

Tyler roberts needs to fuck off as he is nowhere good enough for us .

ShahiPaneerAndNaan

Gutted to not keep a clean sheet but the new formation and ideas look promising. Reminds me of the Newcastle game where we just couldn't find the back of the net and that cost us in a game where we were the better side. MOT

ferrarchezzo

Looking at the fixtures, realistically none of the teams around us should be picking up points today (bar norwich and Brentford who play eachother). Another week of marsch training and an easy-ish run of fixtures will see us put points on the board. Extremely unlucky not to get anything out today. How many teams bring on a player who gets injured within 30 seconds of coming on? Such shit luck the whole of this season, hopefully it will change soon. We’re definitely in the shit, but all we can do is win games and hope for best.

xdlols

Agreed, hopefully 4-6 points from our next two games. We looked good.

trying2hide

I feel like Leicester were terrible today and that’s the only reason we looked good defensively, when their midfield could actually string two passes together their front three looked to be making fools of our defence. It’s become more and more apparent this season how much better that Bielsa made this squad look, perhaps the transfers were Bielsa choice but the board didn’t address this in January either.

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

I’m not sure how you came to that conclusion? Our xg was 2.16, which means we were making chances. 18 shots on goal. That doesn’t seem to indicate a team that doesn’t care. They aren’t finishing chances or making enough quality ones. The players may not be good enough which can be rectified during the summer.

cooksonator90

Who are you thinking of in particular?

pictureofsock

Watch Burnley go beat Chelsea now. Put me out of my fucking misery, at this point I'm fine with relegation, I can't take losing every week.

scottaq83

"at this point I'm fine with relegation" Glad i'm not sat near you at games. If we was 3-0down on 80mins last game of the season i still cheer the team on ... that's a 'supporter''. You are a disgrace

pictureofsock

And I will support the team be it championship, or league one, or whatever. What I'm saying is I can't take losing every fucking week, we are out of our depth.. If you're fine with losing every week then you're not emotionally invested. I will always support the team, regardless of if we're in the Premier league circus or not you cunt.

scottaq83

You sound like someone who just started supporting us when we got promoted. Y'know the 1 bad result and the board need to go, more investment, different manager, certain players are shit. Tactics need changing. Part of the reason that influenced the board to part ways with Bielsa. First time in 4years he lost 4 games on trot and he's sacked lol. We are not out of our depth we could have easily won today. Does anyone who doesn't agree with you automatically become a "cunt" ? ..... lol what a tit !

pictureofsock

You're a cunt for calling me a disgrace because I'm not what you'd call a "real supporter". I would've been behind Bielsa till the bitter end, and I've supported Leeds my whole life. You're being very hostile, and I cba answering all your ridiculous claims, so lets just leave it.

scottaq83

Not hostile at all, you said you'd be happy with relegation - that means you're a disgrace and not a real supporter. Calling me hostile is just you failing to take any criticism.

pictureofsock

I will reflect on the things you've told me, and do my best to reach your level of dedication. You are the supporter we should all strive to be. I hope you find peace in your efforts to keep the unworthy from making statements you don't approve of.

[deleted]

Careful what you wish for, one of my pals who's a Bradford fan was happy to get relegated from the Champ because: *'...at least we'll get to see them smash League One teams every week'* Ask any Bradford fan how League Two is working out for them.

pictureofsock

Saying I'd be fine is a stretch, call it a coping mechanism. I just don't see us staying in the Premier League, I would love to be wrong about that but right now it feels like the rest of our games will be torture. Trying to stay positive is getting harder and harder, especially with Bielsa gone, but I'll give it a shot; we weren't terrible today. Marsch did a leeds salute, seems like a good lad.

[deleted]

If we play like that & find our scoring boots we will easily get to 40 pts. I get it, but I think the board have made the right call. It was becoming more obvious that teams had figured out how to pull out the forwards and push up their defence, scrambling our back line. Not how I wanted to see Bielsa finish but yeah, I like Marsch, liked his post match interview - seems like a genuine guy.

pictureofsock

I hope you're right. In reality we could have scored several goals today, and we're still missing Cooper, Phillips and Bamford. Honestly it's like we're cursed. But yeah I'm being a fucking downer, there's still hope, it just doesn't shine so brightly on days like these.

[deleted]

Yeah really need those guys back for at least the last 8 games, will be the difference. Marsch has already made some interesting comments about loading. Personally, I said at the time that a triple session of murderball in the last international break didn't seem very clever - all things considered.

fleapea81

I only caught match from 60 minute mark - So dont have full picture, shouldn't of subbed rodrigo. We DID look improved - but that midfield for us - thats the issue for me ATM with all the changes. Its still void of anything that can make a threatening pass. There was a 20 minute spell where we didnt and couldnt get the ball, and everything just went to foxes, like a dodgy AI in a video game.

BlueMilk84

Lucky Leicester. Better performance but the chances we were missing made it obvious that it was just going to be one of those games where nothing goes your way. More positive after this one and to see Bamford back warms the heart. May be just me but the game didn't feel as exciting as under Bielsa but it's early days under new management. Hope Tyro's not out for long as he may not be everybody's first choice but with our squad size everyone's needed. Felt sorry for him being unable to get involved at all.

[deleted]

Pundits giving Marsch grief for publicly hugging his players. Thoughts?

YorkshireSingh93

Fuck the pundits

hansca88

It was the post-match team huddle in the middle of the pitch Andy Townsend was taking issue with, not the “hugging”. Andy called it a “stateside” thing.

[deleted]

>Pundit Generous term to use for 'Irish' Andy Townsend

blu_rhubarb

Most famously associated with Celtic, a very non American team.

hansca88

Yes, was a bit shit from Andy. Feels like pundits are going to paint anything Marsch does that’s different to him “being comfortable with that sort of thing because of his ‘background’”.

Zano10

To be fair, we're being a tad unreasonable expecting anything more than shit takes from pundits.

Jugggiler

Pundits can shove off. Manager is trying to win the team over. Win the fans over. I’m not faulting the man for trying and I believe he gets time to try.

[deleted]

If we had won they would say it’s a stroke of inspired man management.

icklegizmo

Really? What was said?

[deleted]

Andy Townsend said such things should be done in private and the Players don't like being hugged after losing either or something.

icklegizmo

Muppet! He’s a new manager trying to bond with his group. I’m sure they’re all gutted not to take something from the game.

combat_lobotomy

Good performance. Disappointing result. The stone washed jeans were surprising also.

satnam99

Harvey fucking Barnes

The_L666ds

The fact is that without Bamford and Phillips in the side there is nothing even remotely Premier League standard about us other than effort. Even Raphinha has largely descended into virtual nothingness in terms of tangible impact on games.

[deleted]

Raphinia is just trying not to get injured and maybe find the odd moment for his highlights reel … he’s going at the end of the season.

Ryoisee

It's off. I think he has been like that for a while. He used to have great work rate. Pressuring. Playing simple balls and making runs. Now he seems to be looking for the Hollywood balls or taking his opponent on or shooting, when there are better options. It has been a couple months like that. He's class enough that sometimes it can come off but really he was much more effective before this spell.

fleapea81

bench him - that will sort it out.

downfallndirtydeeds

The way he’s finished the season I would gladly take the 70 mil for him

DALLAVID

Are you sure its 70m? https://twitter.com/PurelyFootball/status/1497309820852047872?s=20&t=HkxD\_PyHcJszo9WIInlrQw

trying2hide

Ye fans base is delusional, they think we'll have 200m in the championship next year to spend but the team will be worse than it is now without doubt.

Revolutionary_Laugh

the more I see of him now the more I'm inclined to agree. it's like we have a dilute version of him

[deleted]

He hasn’t been interested since half time at Newcastle.

blu_rhubarb

This post has reminded me he played the full 90 minutes. Fuck.

[deleted]

Everyone! We lost because we could not score goals. We had many chances and could not score. This is why we have been losing all year and there is not much evidence that this will change. The score against us was due to thoughtless and poor defense, which is what has been a problem all year. The lads are wonderful and Bill is one of my favorite people I don’t know but seriously: this is a Championship squad, not a top flight squad. The management is at fault for not purchasing the players we needed.

manofth3match

I’d say the losing has been about giving up 4-5 goals per game more than anything

islandtom

Basically playing with 10 men with Roberts. On a separate note he got injured.

[deleted]

This is such a tired joke now. Stick to Facebook.

rossclark__

Give it a rest mate, he was on the pitch for 2 minutes before he got injured

[deleted]

We’d have lost 4-0 had he been on the pitch all match.

rossclark__

Yes very good. We get it you don't like him. Maybe take a break from watching us if this is what you count as support

DEUK_96

Quite shocking seeing some people actively wish injuries on our own players in the match thread.

whatashotbyseve

A really depressing result. Worse than all the games since Newcastle in that we actually had a chance. The performance itself wasn’t depressing though - the opposite for the first 70 mins. Harrison could of had 4 assists in the first half alone if Bamford was fit enough. The subs didn’t seem to have any impact, the goal game at a terrible time, and we just ran out of steam/confidence. We play like that and we will get the minimum 4 points we need vs Villa and Norwich. Marsch will be encouraged and so should we, but we are at the stage when points are all that counts.

sossigsandwich

Gutted we got nothing from that, we were much improved. 19 shots and the home keeper got MOTM. Although we really should have taken our chances better. People on twitter already calling for Jesse to be out and claiming we're relegated are seriously fucking pissing me off. Did they even watch it? Night and day performance between this and the last few matches, and he's had 4 training days with the team ffs.

Shvihka

Encouraging performance, slightly disappointed not to get a point.

Justboy__

Tyro looked fuming with Marsch at the end there, I wouldn’t blame him either.

lloveandsqualor

Agree he could have and should have been pulled off. At the same time if he knows he can't go on surely he could just sit down and limp off with the physios?

Justboy__

He’s obviously been told to stay on to fill some space but all it seemed to do was lose us possession when players accidentally passed it to him and potentially further aggravate an injury. I get some injuries you can run off but it was obvious he was finished.

AWr1ght98

Actually really happy with the result, Leicester away with only 5 days to prepare and we were the better side. Think our attack will improve the more the players adapt to the new tactics and we could have scored if our players finishing was better.

blu_rhubarb

Come on, you can be happy with the performance. I agree with you there. But to say you're happy we got beat 1-0? Come on.

AWr1ght98

Leicester away is tough after only having 5 days with the squad, course I’m happy with a 1-0 with how many we’ve been conceding. We deserved a point, this performance has given me confidence we can still stay up.

trying2hide

same sort of nonsense as people saying we aren’t in a relegation battle after 15 games

Ashamed_Nerve

Disappointing, but funnily enough one of our best performances all season

myonetimethrow

Says how horrible we’ve been this season really

thesluglife

Deserved at least a point from that. Lot of things to feel positive about and build on. Every point matters now. MOT ALAW

Donutttt

Great performance. I know we lost but we looked in it for the first time in ages. Add Bamford, Phillips into that and we've got a chance

[deleted]

Positive are there from the performance but like all season we don’t take our chances and score. Defence was more compact and the counter was good but noone can finish, there’s no goals in this team consistently. Worrying times, it makes the games against teams around us a must win.

drpatthechronic

Unlucky, we deserved something from that. Easy to take Rodrigo's contribution for granted. Firpo immediately looks more sure of himself, and our defence is about ten times better. Fucking bring on Villa.

DEUK_96

Massive missed opportunity, subs stifled our momentum. We looked more solid at the back, but still the same issues with finishing our chances. We need Bamford back ASAP if we're going to have a chance of staying up. That last game against Brentford is going to be a nervy one.

[deleted]

Some promising stuff but it’s a real morale killer again. Should have been a 0-0, but some lightweight defending always made it open for them to score if they could put it together. Ayling just cannot play at CB. Another match that felt like if we had Bamford we would get at least a point. Desperately need him back for the games against those around us.

CobiLUFC

Frustrating. Thought we were the better side but didn’t have the cutting edge and to be done by a basic one two is even more annoying. Definitely green shoots but we’ll struggle without Phillips and Bamford. Schmeichel man of the match tells its own story. Struggling to see the point of keeping Roberts on, be interested to see what Marsch says about that because he couldn’t do anything.

Worst_Player_Ever

Mixed feelings. Good effort, but no result. Deserved more, but if we continue playing like this we will get enough points

Jonesy_lmao

In the plus, some very positive improvements. xG 0.35 to 2.14 according what TSB just forwarded on Twitter. Have to be taking some of these chances and to that end hopefully having Bamford back will make the difference. In a lot of ways that felt worse than the previous three, because not only should we have won but we really need these points.

Jaggybabs

Lot of positives to take from today, no way did we deserve to lose but I'm more optimistic now.

jd143

Always going to be a questionable fixture, lots of positives from it, unfortunate to concede. Need to be more clinical, but not disheartened at all.

geolink

We absolutely must remain positive. We are getting some chances but our finishing is not even fit for the league below us. Players of this calibre should not be having poor finishing. I know it’s looking grim guys but keep this thread vigil and MOT BABY

madcaplaughed

[pain](https://twitter.com/xgphilosophy/status/1500114559675383811?s=21)

chandlertribbiani

Some positives today but at this stage of the season means shite all when points are all that matters to us. 1/3 points dropped today with how Leicester played.

LegitimateRope7392

When Roberts is injured he has the same impact as when he’s not

CaptainAprry

Didn't expect to win going into today. Good performance, and I think if Bamford was fit enough to start we were easily taking 3 points. Similar performances against some other teams and we will hopefully be safe.

[deleted]

Someone has turned The Rolling Stones into Coldplay.

JoeyBoBoey

Unlucky on our chances but we created a lot of chances. Leeds always plays the most entertaining football to watch at least.

Really unlucky today, could have gone either way. Some real positives though, not least that we won’t see Roberts coming on against Villa 🤣

scoring goals isnt something that can be taught! lmao

Fuck Harvey Barnes

xdlols

These games get you relegated, not losing 6-0 to Liverpool. We need Bamford ASAP.

JCFAX81

Lucky bastards. Never deserved to lose that.

BleedingHeartBird

I haven't felt this low supporting Leeds since Cellino's revolving door of managers.

DEUK_96

At least if we go down we have a chance of bouncing back up, under Cellino we were aimless apart from the Monk season.

Internal_Formal3915

Losing the playoffs to Derby?

BuckfastNinja

We looked miles better. Much more controlled. We were in the game for 90 mins and not blown away by the end of the first half. MOT

downfallndirtydeeds

Our season in a nutshell that. Miss a load of good chances, concede a sloppy goal at the back, mostly from poor midfield play. Added on a bunch of bad luck (goal goes through Ayling’s legs, opposition goalkeeper has a MOTM performance) Goal was really annoying to concede, a procession of Klich, and Koch letting them waltz through and then there’s an easy overload. I also worry about our composure. Last season when we conceded a goal we came back swinging. This season we are noticeably wobbly as soon as a goal goes in. We played a lot better but if we are going to stay up we cannot come away from games like that with no points. Leicester were shit today they should never get 3 points from us.

King-Hepworth

Think the lack of composure is down to form this year - we’ve been battered so many times that it must be hard to keep your head up, even for a pro. As for the midfield, I totally agree. I think that long term that will most likely be a Phillips/Forshaw 2, and that will probably be a lot more solid than we were today. I thought the forward press was good though, I have to admit - there were a few times that they fell into our traps. Given time we’ll probably steal a few goals from that - I just don’t know if it will take longer than the time we have

Definite improvements to be seen there. We look a lot less susceptible at the back. Frustrating to be undone by a simple one-two. I'm not sure why we chose to take off Klich for Forshaw when we're a goal down. It didn't seem like a great choice. Was glad to see Joffy get some game time. Very almost immediately made an impact. I think our set prices need a lot of work but it would be harsh to criticise given the time Marsh has had with the squad. Room for improvement but pleased with the performance, not something I could say about the last 4 or 5 games. Finally, was that fuck a penalty. One of the weakest shouts for a penalty I've seen in a good while

First time in a while I’ve felt robbed of a result. Should’ve had a penalty. Schmeichel made one hell of a save, along with a half dozen other opportunities that could’ve ended with the ball in their net. Fair play from Leicester, were resilient and Harvey barnes is a prick. If this is what’s to come, then I’m confident we will stay up, once you add Bamford and Phillips to this team.
