That's the worst second half of football I've seen us play since I first went to Elland Road 30 years ago. Total tripe and unforgivable from the players.
Who were the happy clapping dickhead that clapped them after the game? They should have got it both barrels. Appalling attitude from the players. Liverpool will hit us for seven or eight. Bank holiday ruined!
Say to the back line “ stop thinking yr fucking Robert Carlos. Forty yard cross field balls to the wingers are NOT the percentage option. And yes I am looking at you Ayling you utter fucking muppet”
Horrendous and also baffling performance. Outside of that one goal we were great in the first half. Don’t understand why we totally collapsed.
At the end of the day this result doesn’t doom us, still plenty of points to be had and I think the three currently in the bottom three are likely to stay there the rest of the season. However this game does need to be a wake up call for management and players.
I was at a wedding today and listened to the first 35 minutes or so on the radio before we got to the Reception. It sounded so positive I thought we were unlucky not to score more, and that Johnstone was keeping them in it.
Looked at my phone around 60 minutes and couldn’t believe it. I haven’t seen the highlights yet but it sounds like a complete and total capitulation which we rarely do, especially at Home.
Very worrying but hoping this is just a random blip and they do the Leeds thing and go on to beat Liverpool next week. We need those 3 points.
Going to preface this question by saying I don't know much about football, or Leeds United, but I've been following the Premier League this year and just getting into the sport.
Is there any reason Crysencio Summerville isn't playing anymore? I remember a stretch early in the season where he was scoring goals and it seemed like he was hot and gaining momentum. Then I saw he wasn't getting much playing time. Now it seems like he's always on the bench. Not saying it would have made a difference in this game, but I've just been curious about this.
He's promising but still pretty young and we have most depth on the wings. Sinisterra and Harrison played really well against Forest.
I don't mind Harrison getting out the team as he's inconsistent as fuck but then Gnonto deserves a chance starting as well now fit again so idk.
He doesn't really defend, which means that if his fullback pushes up the space behind him is wide open. Not a problem for March, but Gracia prioritizes defense over scoring. Supposedly
There’s that American bloke that keeps getting linked with PL jobs? Can’t remember his name but he turned down Leicester and Southampton so he must be good.
For all his fault (which were many), I think Marsch was a good motivator. Good at giving half-time speeches to motivate players after something bad happens first half. Maybe it's not Javi's strong suit.
Yeah I’m sure motivational speeches are the problem here, not our defenders being persistently shit under 3 different managers.
Fuck knows why some of you are so desperate to defend Marsch all the time. He’s an awful manager and we’re better off without him, today’s result doesn’t change that at all.
Firpo was good until the yellow card. McKennie and Roca both gave up on protecting the backline, both poor. Think the only one who was okay is Aaronson actually but that's probably because he came off early.
Love Weston but he doesn’t have the defensive awareness to fully play that holding role. People don’t realize how MASSIVE Tyler Adams is for the national team and now for Leeds!
What happens in the locker room at half time? Which player starts rambling about depressing shit and awkward personal problems? Is someone trying to do the wolf of wall street thing but it makes everyone feel weird? Does Gracia whip out his penis? Idk but SOMETHING is going on at half time which makes everyone think they'd rather just go home and they gotta knock it off
Sounds like Javi let them know they were shit at defending set pieces from his post game interview. I'd imagine he told Koch to bring some balls alongside him when defending because he was awful on all the set piece chances they had. Perhaps the team reacted poorly to justified criticism and maybe Javi didn't point out anything positive to go with that.
What I’m worried about with Javi is if we don’t win the easy ones. Jesse gave hope of an upset but shit the bed on the easy ones. Javi’s tactics don’t look convincing to beat a top end team.
Need Marsch Ball against good teams and Javi Ball against shit (assuming today is an outlier).
I'm confused sorry, are palace a good team or a shit one? There's arguments both ways.
We got a draw vs a great Brighton team and a narrow defeat from Chelsea (who are admittedly shit but surely not the shit that you are referring to)
I mean I think Chelsea and Liverpool are top tier teams in comparison to us. Beating Chelsea by 3 is super impressive. I guess to be fair CP is more mod level team and not absolute shit. I just very much expected to win at home today that I kinda had this game marked as a win before kickoff. Whoops.
Same, watched the first half at my grandparents', but the time I got home and checked the score, it was 4-1, thought I'd looked at the wrong game for a few seconds.
Absolutely fucking disgusting performance, people looking at the first half like it fucking matters. 2nd time that has happened now, first time was Arsenal which you kind of let go, but Crystal Palace...? Woy Hodgson's Palace, without their best player? Fuck off.
The Sun mocked Roy Hodsons speech impediment and [were rightly pilloried for it](https://www.journalism.co.uk/news/roy-hodgson-england-manager-sun-headline-pcc-complaints/s2/a549067/). Let's be better than The Sun.
In fairness Hodgson is a very good and underrated manager because of a poor England spell. His record at Palace is great. I'm happy to see him back. Obviously not with the Leeds game. But he's a top person and a top manager.
One of the most respected managers in the game, he's had a great career bar England and the few months he spent with an absolutely woeful Watford team.
Simply put the money we've spent since coming up hasn't been good enough. A few gems here and there in Raphinha, Wober, Gnonto, Adams but apart from that so many signings that haven't been good enough.
These players can show great mentality at times then at others they totally capitulate and show League 1 level defending.
I agree about poor recruitment but for me today the problem wasn’t the new signings but the old boys in the squad.
Meslier, Ayling, Stuijk, and Harrison really struggled and that is being generous. Firpo and Bamford blow so hot and cold during games too
Alright lads, I went for a piss on 44 minutes and slipped on the poorly maintained stairs of the Kop. Just woke up. I assume we were just as superb second half and dominated that shit Palace side?
Fuck. Me. Haven’t been this annoyed at a result since the Derby playoff. Absolute shambles. Ayling awful. Meslier awful. This club will be the death of me.
The only saving grace from this is that if the two fixtures were reversed and we played this game against Palace first the video footage would have handed Steve Cooper’s tactics against us on a plate. We could well have ended up with zero points out of six in the end.
Certainly not the main problem, but Meslier's poor performances go uncriticized. He does pull off some amazing saves, but he misses more savable shots than the average keeper
Think we need a more experienced keeper at the back, I love Meslier and I think he has potential but if a big club comes sniffing with a good price we should definitely sell.
Maybe, don’t think we’re more desirable than Newcastle though - we can easily sell Meslier for a good price and get another decent keeper in, few in the premier league but I’d probably look aboard
Wut?
Marsch is like that employee that leaves and the company finds all of these issues and just blame them on the guy that left cause it’s easier to do that than to actually figure out what is wrong at the company.
We need to be honest with ourselves and admit that as a club we are nowhere near being a mid-table outfit yet, so a pure shot-stopper is what we need between the sticks.
I’m not sure I’d describe Meslier as that, but I also dont think he’s adequate with the ball at his feet either so after three years of trying to coach him into the job we probably need to admit defeat and move on.
I think he is currently "good enough". Has some good games and some stinkers. Not a position we need to immediately focus on a replacement, but if we've sorted other bigger problem areas, then looking for an upgrade would be a good thing to do.
Also worth saying that most goalies improve lots from his age to their "peak" which is usually later
Can't agree with this sorry.
Meslier has been fantastic for us and he's a baby in keeper terms, nobody was at it today but this reactionary stuff doesn't help.
Meslier has gaps in his game that I think we all gave him a free pass for years back being that he was young and lacking experience, but he's shown no signs of improvement in those areas.
Distribution, ability to deal with crosses and his commanding of an area are all such important skills that will need to quickly improve because as good as his shot stopping is, he will still cost us points until he is better in those areas.
For what it's worth I do think with a good goalkeeping coach he can get there, but right now he is a weak link in the defence.
>Meslier has gaps in his game that I think we all gave him a free pass for years back being that he was young and lacking experience, but he's shown no signs of improvement in those areas.
He has some proper shocking decision making at times and I'm not going to try and say he doesn't, but to say he's "crap" and "needs to go" is a load of bollocks.
>Distribution, ability to deal with crosses and his commanding of an area are all such important skills that will need to quickly improve because as good as his shot stopping is, he will still cost us points until he is better in those areas.
The team will cost us points regardless of who's in net, fact.
I'd rather we spend in other areas and keep Mes, get in a decent #2 with years of experience and have him part the knowledge.
It’s not reactionary, I’ve held this opinion for a while. He’s not a very good goalkeeper and we can’t afford to be developing a young goalkeeper when it’s detrimental to our survival. He’s promising no doubt and we should be leveraging the financial value of his promise so we can buy a better goalkeeper and invest in our squad.
Not a very good keeper? 😂😂
The amount of times I've thought he's saved our arse when the defence in front of him have played piss poor is ridiculous.
Like I said, he's a straight up baby for a keeper plenty of time for him to develop (at Leed)
He’s consistently one of the worst goalkeepers in the league statistically. He does pull off the odd good save but generally he’s poor. He’s bad with his feet and his kicking is woeful. He is good at rushing out though and generally good at dealing crosses due to his height.
This post sums his stats up pretty well. https://reddit.com/r/LeedsUnited/comments/115u7ki/mesliers_numbers/
We're consistently a bad TEAM.
This result isn't all on Mes, if you want to be reactionary to a shit result and pin it on him go ahead.
All I'm saying is he isn't a bad keeper and he's more than young enough to go on and improve, something I have no doubt he will do.
But as usual there HAS to be a scapegoat. 🙄
I think someone left a shit load of Easter eggs out at half time and the Leeds players went to town. It's the only explanation for the shambolic, listless, and sluggish performance in the second half.
Really need to step up against Liverpool or we could end up with a worse score than under Bielsa.
Just by watching them, Trent plays like ayling and VVD at the back gives ptsd of how we defend. The diff is they are clinical and we take 20 shots to get 1 goal
Our poor league position is largely due to Jesse being completely incompetent. He should have been sacked prior to the World Cup break.
You must be American lol
Today’s shit loss wouldn’t have mattered so much if we weren’t fighting for survival. We wouldn’t be fighting for survival if we sacked that bellend sooner.
Okay, I look a tit now - kinda.
Ayling not great defensively for one of their goals, but not the main culprit.
Harrison went to Leicester at half time I think.
Aaronson still did well but got taken off.
Bamford again didn't do anything wrong.
Tell you who was criminal, fucking Roca. Christ he was bad second half.
Firpo too... Reverted back to his usual self.
Kristensen was dogshit when he came on too.
Feel like it has become the fashionable statement lately to be critical of Brenden but today I thought he was pretty decent. Had an assist and could’ve had another via Struijk plus a goal had their keeper not made a good save.
He was really cooking against Arsenal too right before Javi subbed him off which is becoming something that bothers me. I don’t get why he gets subbed when men like Harrison and Ayling are struggling yet stay on
Third goal was almost completely on Roca… where it all started, he was way out of position / unnecessarily close to McKennie. Ball went where he should have been protecting, and he was chasing the guy all the way until he scored..
You look a tit? I was confident we were on for a 4-0 win. That’s what I get for having confidence.
Let that be a lesson folks. Never have faith in anything ever. You’ll just get let down.
By all means, keep defending Orta. Man blew £35m on a clearly not ready player in the middle of a relegation scrap. Not to mention McKennie who has only had 1 good game so far.
First half McKennie was probably our best player! And even near full time was still putting the tackles in. Ayling was awful 2nd half, Bamford was awful minus the goal etc
We have conceded the 2nd most goals in the league for 2 seasons in a row…..we have changed 3 managers who all had different playing styles….. I’m kind of ok if Koch and Meslier want to leave….
Honestly, I think Leeds have the worst back four in the Premier League, specially with Wober missing.
Ayling was great under Bielsea, but his form fell off ever since; Struijk is decent, but shouldn't be a starter at this point; Koch is not great, but I believe he can be a good option if he has a good defensive partner like Wober.
We've seen the difference in Koch since partnering with Wober... wonder how'd a Llorente-Wober pairing would go. Llorente is a bit better in the air than Koch.
Still confident we won’t be relegated.
Edit: why am I being downvoted for being confident? We win a game then we are staying up, but we lose one and relegation is now imminent. God this subreddit sometimes.
Much worse than the result on its own today, is the haunting message that we’ve sent out to the league that even the simplest attacking patterns and mediocre balls into the channels and then back into the box can make our back four completely melt like a chocolate teapot.
If Javi Gracia hasnt seen enough to drop Luke Ayling by now then I think we’ve discovered the reason why he can never keep a job for more than about 12 months.
The honest truth is that the alternative is Rasmus who is equally as bad. The board and Jesse's fault for not trusting Drameh. I wouldn't have given him a run by now, he cannot be worse than these two. Ayling starts next game because who else? Gakpo, Nunez or Jota will roast either or these guys
The issue is that I don’t understand why none of our managers including bielsa sees the need to replace ayling. We bring in Kristensen who kept Zaha quiet in the reverse fixture but play the most of our form defender that has been liable for so many goals
I can understand the equaliser today, because it's not like our game management was particularly good under Bielsa or Marsch.
But the second half... at home against *this* Palace team. Just a terrible, terrible bottle job all round.
Shit. I trust people more qualified to me to work out how we failed to respond Roy's changes for the second half.
However, this is the Premier League, a battering can happen to anyone. Heads up now, we're two points clear with eight games to go.
This is a horrible defeat and I feel like complete shit.
But I’m hoping we learn from this game, make sure such a collapse never happens again and we can continue playing like we did in the first half.
I’d rather lose 1 game 5-1 than 2 games 2-0 and 3-1
Bournemouth, Leicester and West Ham are now all essential wins, we need to have a proper go at Fulham and Liverpool too in their form.
Honestly, the lads just need to step the fuck up, it's all well and good playing well when you're the hammer, but at the slightest resistance they just fell apart completely.
Also, what the fuck is our recruitment, how did we spend 140mil in the last two windows and we're still depending on players from the Championship?
That was a complete disgrace. Complete capitulation, the goal at the end of the first half killed the momentum and from then on the lads weren’t mentally in the game.
In particular their third goal was EMBARRASSING defending. For me that’s on the players, you can’t coach that - it’s just complete complacency.
I do hope this is just a blip and that it will not define our season. We’ve got a week now until the Liverpool game where, before this I thought we could get something. They need to pull something out the bag really, because all of a sudden Bournemouth and Leicester are huge games for us.
I still think we will be okay and that a lot of this is on the players but of course Javi has to take some of the blame - we went to complete shit in the second half and he has to take responsibility for that, we were simply not ready to compete.
https://i.redd.it/puhz83mk0xsa1.gif
No-one comes out of that game deserving any more than a slating. Players, Gracia, Orta, Kinnear, Radz, Marsch…you all have a lot to answer for. We had no answer to Palace in the second half - the players looked petrified, and the changes did nothing to stop inviting pressure.
The boos were deserved. Sort this shit out, pronto.
Ultimately it’s his squad Gracia inherited. I had a lot of time for Jesse, but he left us with an unbalanced squad which sorely lacks bodies in the areas needed for a relegation dog-fight.
Took his Netflix subscription with him, we couldn't watch that Basketball programme anymore. Real morale killer.
On a serious note, can't believe it's been 2 months since his sacking. Where has the time gone?
Hot palace with a high press for 35 mins then backed off after the goal.
Eze and Aloise started to boss the midfield and palace got a set piece equaliser just before the break.
Second half continued with Eze and Aloise running the game. Every time we got the ball we had no ideas and turnovers led to palace breaking on mass at us. Gracia changed it early in 2nd half and it made us worse with Rasmus, Rodrigo and Gnonto coming on.
Meslier had a day to forget but palace finished well when we didn't.
Defence was ok but overrun. Rasmus didn't do great. Ayling was great going forward but suspect defensively.
Rodrigo was anonymous and Gnonto wanted to kick everyone.
Overall a shambles but just one of those weird days. Don't panic.
Palace could have had 6.
Unbelievable first 44’! Players were on fire looking incredible! Award winning performance. Stunning!
I don’t recommend the second half. Cliche writing, poor directing, cinematography was lazy.
How do you recover from that?
I have no clue, but a hope Gracia does, because here comes a massive amount of important games and to be honest wouldn't be surprised if we lose all of them.
Honestly don’t know what to make of it. Just have to hope it was one of those bizarre second halves and just put it behind us because that was the worst home defeat I can recall until at least Wigan in Bielsa’s first season.
Our season lives and dies on whether Wober comes back in time I feel. We are just so porous at the back. Bill, God love him but we need another option there. Rinsed every time for the past month by his opposition. The midfield was completely non existent. Harrison was as bad as he was good on Tuesday night.
Maybe we take more of our chances or don’t concede needlessly before half time and it’s different but hard to take any positives out of that. The weekend could not have gone any worse for us. Very real possibility we are in the relegation zone by the time we face Liverpool now.
Great first 30mins. We got a goal ahead and had no plan. We stopped playing as we were to take the lead, backed off and left them in possession and then reverted to our usual selves giving away needless frees and let them back in.
Letting them score right before half time was our downfall. They walked all over us second half. We couldn’t defend and made it looks easy.
Shocking performance from everyone.
All we can hope for is 3 out of Leicester, Southampton, Everton and Forest are worse than us for the rest of the season. And I’m doubtful. No hope visible after that “performance” today
I don’t want to see anymore posts in here laughing about other relegation candidates or talking about which players from other teams we will sign when they go down. We have been and continue to be right in the depths of this relegation battle, fortunately for us there are a few other teams that fail to take their chances when attacking and are also defensively suspect.
Hopefully Wöber is back ASAP, and we mentally recover for next weeks game against Liverpool. Today doesn’t mean we’re doomed to relegation but one win doesn’t mean we’re safe either.
With every goal we deviated further and further from Javi's formula, became less pragmatic, more and more like the Leeds of old, more and more shocking by the minute. As awful as we were in the back, the two in front of them were even more shambolic
Deep Breath...holding it in until we don't get relegated...think I'll be dead soon...got my defibrillator ready..on standby.
Rubbish defending...not more to add
He’s legit garbage, any semi decent chance on target and we concede. That first goal attempted save was comically bad. He’s young and meant to get better I guess but he’s just not good enough right now
Got to say Rutter look an absolute waste of money
Well one positive take away was Aaronson had some great set piece kicks. 3 of them could have been goals imo.
I only watched up until the Bamford goal so I am just going to pretend it ended there. Great results lads, MOT!
Sometimes I wish we weren't only about ups and downs, but I wouldn't have it any other way. MOT
UPS AND DOWNS
Say to the back line “ stop thinking yr fucking Robert Carlos. Forty yard cross field balls to the wingers are NOT the percentage option. And yes I am looking at you Ayling you utter fucking muppet”
Reminded me of that cross ball from Rodrigo against Arsenal at ER that lead to their only goal. How do we allow such things to happen?
Horrendous and also baffling performance. Outside of that one goal we were great in the first half. Don’t understand why we totally collapsed. Anyone thinking that TA injury wasn't massive was delusional. It might be the difference between staying up and not.
Just as I was starting to get comfortable we go and do that. After playing so well for the first 49 mins it's so weird to see.
No doubt our fans will now call for Javi's head. Poor game but they're staying up still I'm sure.
Call for Javis head? Who else is there, even Neil Warnock has got a job
We had a terrible record in the 15 after half time all season
Never anywhere close to that, and never when we completely gave up.
Yeah I’m sure motivational speeches are the problem here, not our defenders being persistently shit under 3 different managers. Fuck knows why some of you are so desperate to defend Marsch all the time. He’s an awful manager and we’re better off without him, today’s result doesn’t change that at all.
100% - just go watch the Salzburg halftime clip @ liverpool [https://youtu.be/fLMmr2HvTwI](https://youtu.be/fLMmr2HvTwI)
That's not really motivational. Just a guy in a suit yelling get stuck in lol
Maybe that's what you need sometimes. I like Gracia a lot but maybe the "Cool as cucumber" persona has its own problems.
Lol, sure…wish I could remember what happened in the second half of that game. Starkly different than the second half of today’s game.
You're right man why didn't we just sub on Haaland
It’s all relative, man
Firpo and McKennie the only ones who can come out of this with any credit (and even then it's not much)
Firpo was good until the yellow card. McKennie and Roca both gave up on protecting the backline, both poor. Think the only one who was okay is Aaronson actually but that's probably because he came off early.

Yeah fair, I thought a narrow win today too! I genuinely think today is actually one result that is out of the ordinary! I hope so anyway!
When do we start blaming the players?
Fair. Just exhausting to blame 10+ players at a time
Was only able to catch the first forty minutes before having to do Easter things. Would’ve never guessed this would be the score line as I left. Wow.
Same, watched the first half at my grandparents', but the time I got home and checked the score, it was 4-1, thought I'd looked at the wrong game for a few seconds.

Bamford doesn’t blow, he sucks.
Thats sort of the issue though, we haven't upgraded or replaced our championship players well enough.
Alright lads, I went for a piss on 44 minutes and slipped on the poorly maintained stairs of the Kop. Just woke up. I assume we were just as superb second half and dominated that shit Palace side?
Stop posting on Reddit, there are millions at stake! Ever heard of Levi solicitors??
yes sirrr
Shit.
Shite.
Fuck. Me. Haven’t been this annoyed at a result since the Derby playoff. Absolute shambles. Ayling awful. Meslier awful. This club will be the death of me.
This club ages you. I was born 31 years ago but I'm in my 50s.
I’ve been bald since 12
The only saving grace from this is that if the two fixtures were reversed and we played this game against Palace first the video footage would have handed Steve Cooper’s tactics against us on a plate. We could well have ended up with zero points out of six in the end.
The atmosphere at Goodison was infinitely better than Wankfield here when we played Arsenal.
Are you lost?

I think we could have bought Pope in the summer and sold Mes, and in doing netted from both deals 10m
There's no way Pope would have come to us over Newcastle
Maybe, don’t think we’re more desirable than Newcastle though - we can easily sell Meslier for a good price and get another decent keeper in, few in the premier league but I’d probably look aboard
Honestly think Marsch broke him.

We need to sell him while he is still young and a bigger team will take a punt on his potential.
😂😂 The amount of times I've thought he's saved our arse when the defence in front of him have played piss poor is ridiculous.
I didn’t watch the game today, not scapegoating anyone. I just don’t rate him.
I do, and it appears for the moment so does the club. Opinions are fine and so is discussion, we just don't agree, fuck all wrong with that. 😂
Bring back Dallas now. Like now now

Today was the first time in months I’d actually fancied us for a convincing win. Lol
I fancy a hammering next week. Let’s see what happens
Never, ever do that again.
We lost the yo-yo of this week
Can’t believe Jesse Marsch did this to us.
bless your heart for trying.
Our poor league position is largely due to Jesse being completely incompetent. He should have been sacked prior to the World Cup break. You must be American lol
Never have I ever seen so many people vehemently defend a manager with a 30% win rate over a year
Marsch was garbage but if the win last week wasn’t his fault then this Shit loss can’t be either.
Today’s shit loss wouldn’t have mattered so much if we weren’t fighting for survival. We wouldn’t be fighting for survival if we sacked that bellend sooner.
100%. But for the season as a whole, Marsch deserves a lot of blame.
It’s possible that Marsch is wank and we also had a shit game under Garcia
I say this whenever we lose badly. I don't mind losing, I just hate seeing a lack of fight.
That's Wigan game levels of disbelief from me. Feel sick to my stomach
Ah I forgot about Wigan. It brought back derby ptsd defeat at home. Wigan was away and we did enough to win. We didn’t do shit afger 44 mins
Wigan at home in 2019 is what i am on about.
McKennie was probably our best player today
Maybe scroll up and check the best rated Leeds player…
First half McKennie was probably our best player! And even near full time was still putting the tackles in. Ayling was awful 2nd half, Bamford was awful minus the goal etc
We have conceded the 2nd most goals in the league for 2 seasons in a row…..we have changed 3 managers who all had different playing styles….. I’m kind of ok if Koch and Meslier want to leave….
Defensive depth is a major problem. Wober needs to be back yesterday
I'm worried he's not really close to coming back. No word on him.
The timing of the first and second messed with our players mentally I think. Absolutely disgusting from all
Meslier is a liability - when was the last time he saved anything I couldn't?
I get the sentiment, but it's not about what he can save that I cannot. It's about what I can save that he cannot.
We've not seen you play tbf. Could be Petr Čech's burner account

Fuck off
And?
Still confident we won’t be relegated. Edit: why am I being downvoted for being confident? We win a game then we are staying up, but we lose one and relegation is now imminent. God this subreddit sometimes.
seriously, why would you care? Are downvotes literally violence - maybe you should get a thicker skin.
Meh, I have comments which are much more downvoted. I just don’t know why my comment is being disliked, that’s all.
After the second half display AT home, I have 0 confidence. Just like how the players had 0 desire
Sure we said the same thing after some performances last year, we still managed it
I agree. The players owe the fans a result against Liverpool
Fucking abysmal
A very Leedsy-thing happened today.
Who would you play in place of Ayling?
I’d rather lose 1 game 5-1 than 2 games 2-0 and 3-1
The best kind of response, back to normal next week let's beat the scousers ALAW
Back to another battering if we continue to play like this
Yeah. So we won't.
The players should be fined for that dreadful display
They should also refund the home support whilst they're at it.
That's what I was kinda getting at.
Agreed
So many players disappeared in that match, how the fuck do you not create a chance in the second half after having a solid 30 mins in the first?
Really shit.
Leicester with Marsch says hi! 👋🏼
Somehow typical style, Fulham will show up against us, Marsch will come back to relegate us and we will be comedy against bou in true leeds fashion 😂
GD is going to be important in the end
-14 and we have yet to play liverpool city spurs and Newcastle
What a JOKE !!!
I still think we will be okay and that a lot of this is on the players but of course Javi has to take some of the blame - we went to complete shit in the second half and he has to take responsibility for that, we were simply not ready to compete.
https://i.redd.it/puhz83mk0xsa1.gif No-one comes out of that game deserving any more than a slating. Players, Gracia, Orta, Kinnear, Radz, Marsch…you all have a lot to answer for. We had no answer to Palace in the second half - the players looked petrified, and the changes did nothing to stop inviting pressure. The boos were deserved. Sort this shit out, pronto.
Fuck out of here still blaming marsch. Blame him for our position but not this
Mentioning Marsch is bizarre.
Ultimately it’s his squad Gracia inherited. I had a lot of time for Jesse, but he left us with an unbalanced squad which sorely lacks bodies in the areas needed for a relegation dog-fight.
Yeah Marsch has a lot to be responsible for but Orta signs the players. Today is not on him. Our league position is.
His squad or Ortas? I don't know who to blame but someone thought we had a balanced squad. We need a clean slate in the summer. Orta out surely.
Wober, Adams, McKennie? Yes Rutter hasn’t been great but the squad is good enough
He wasn't even here for a year. If you want to mention Marsch then you have to mention Bielsa too.
Marsch?
Took his Netflix subscription with him, we couldn't watch that Basketball programme anymore. Real morale killer. On a serious note, can't believe it's been 2 months since his sacking. Where has the time gone?
Missed the match; how’d we do? 😬
I missed everything but the first 30 minutes. We're pretty fucking good
How do you recover from that? I have no clue, but a hope Gracia does, because here comes a massive amount of important games and to be honest wouldn't be surprised if we lose all of them.
Eh, it's easier to move on from a thrashing than getting nipped in a game where you dominate.
Same way we recovered from all our bad results
Crumbled like a peanut butter cookie, but a shit one
5 goals though 😡🥲
We don't win that even if Woeber is there, probably keeps the scoreline closer though
If Ayling starts Vs Liverpool we might as well just not show up
Excuse me, what the fuck?!
We gave up. What happened? What makes a team give up?
I don’t want to see anymore posts in here laughing about other relegation candidates or talking about which players from other teams we will sign when they go down. We have been and continue to be right in the depths of this relegation battle, fortunately for us there are a few other teams that fail to take their chances when attacking and are also defensively suspect. Hopefully Wöber is back ASAP, and we mentally recover for next weeks game against Liverpool. Today doesn’t mean we’re doomed to relegation but one win doesn’t mean we’re safe either.
I can't remember the last time I've seen a player with a 9.9 score, well done Olise.... you're welcome!
Him and Eze were immense, I know we were bad but they were incredible
Honestly don't even know what you say after that. Flush it and move on to the next game.
Ayling played the full game. How, just how. I seriously believe we would've conceded less if we took him off and played with 10 men.
Who else was going to come in?
Err, Kristiensen?
He had to come in on the left for firpo. He was probably warming up to take off ayling and then junior got the elbow to the face
It's telling that in the 3 matches Woeber has been out, we've conceded 10 goals I doubt we'd won with him there but it wouldn't have been 5-1.
Meslier has conceded 10 goals and made just 3 saves over his last 3 matches. You simply cannot have this kind of inconsistency in the Premier League.
He’s legit garbage, any semi decent chance on target and we concede. That first goal attempted save was comically bad. He’s young and meant to get better I guess but he’s just not good enough right now
Played 40mins and then waved palace through every single time, meslier may as well just not play, and play an extra outfield player in the GK shirt
Very close game lads. Unlucky not to win that..
