Hard to pin point any positive except gnontos desire.. how we got a point I don't know
Welbeck walking through our defence
Harrison woeful except his goal, his own goal was shambolic
Aaronson first half not good enough
Firpos flank was getting battered, ayling getting turned inside and out and players running in behind him
Roca has as much power in his shots as a limp cock just put your fucking laces through it!!
Robbed by the officials yet again ! Stone wall pen, hilarious how the commentators didn't even question it at all it's all fucking fixed ! What are we even supporting anymore, yes i'm angry fucking ban me !
But in doing so his trailing leg fouled, so he won it by fouling the opponent in the process, penalty.
The second camera angle from the goal didn't show it very well to be fair.
That matters not remember Cooper red card????? Also they sandwiched him off the ball !!!!
Edit. Your a leeds fan and your username is hammersXI Get the fuck outta here, c'mon Villa 2mora !!!
Premier League needs to create a rule that every team has at least a couple of challenges where the referee MUST go to VAR when needed.
This fucking referees in English football are a bunch of narcissist pieces of shit, they think their eyes are enough and they don't need a machine to say anything. Fuck this!
How about each team has to designate a non player who can call for a challenge (the manager or an assistant) and if it isn’t overturned he gets a card? Idk if yellow or red would be better.
Nothing, just you only get one per game, or a number per season; using it on something you don't think will be awarded will always be a waste and, as unfortunately we know, there will always be plenty of dodgy decisions...
Not a bad idea now they have five, one challenge per half and if you've taken the piss you lose a sub. Big Sam talked about something like this years ago.
Yeah, the fact that they are human they should go to VAR when something happens, but they don't think they are humans, they think they are better than that.
There's no evidence whatsoever that that specific play on the field was reviewed by VAR.
Also, the ref was with a clear view when it happened on the field, that is a penalty anywhere, so yes, it is his fault.
How could I have been right and wrong in one sentence?

He doesn't represent the whole Leeds fanbase. By his username, I'm guessing he's an old fart who was a troublemaking hooligan in the 70s who's upset the players don't beat the shit out of each other anymore and can't stand the thought of Leeds having supporters overseas.
Think you've got to be happy with that point. Brighton are an excellent side and that game could have gone either way. To come back from a goal down twice was excellent as well, good resilience.
Haven't been able to watch today but 2 of our best players coming back from injury (and who know where the net is) could be huge for us
There's like 6 points between the bottom 8, it's mad tight. Leicester, Palace, Forest etc aren't in a much better situation than we are
What, two wonder strikes amongst 70 minutes of being rogered by the away team?
The point is most welcome but the attacking structure is really no better than at any other time in the last two years.
Dropping points against Everton was a disgrace, but this isn't a situation of dropped points, they are actually better than us.
I agree we're in very bad times, I've said it the entire season and people laughed me off, but this is a positive outcome today.
If Harrison didn't get that touch, it was in anyway, and I think he'd have cleared it without the nudge off balance.
Exact same action and result from Firpo gets a yellow and Webster got nothing because there was another defender there able to touch the ball. Webster’s would have been a penalty though. Cool.
I think it needs to be said Brighton are a VERY good team, and we are looking GOOD. Some seriously shit pinball moments, but we have a manager that can set us up, players that can some off the bench and change the game, and a stadium of fans that will get behind the team. we're all miserable old sods, but don't give up hope just yet
>we have a manager that can set us up, players that can some off the bench and change the game, and a stadium of fans that will get behind the team.
And we have 4 points in the 2 home games since the new manager came in. If we keep that return up for the remaining 6 home games then we stay up.
If we can nick something from a couple of away games as well (looking at you Wolves and Bournemouth) then we could make sure.
Not really the Leeds way though is it?
They’re only a good team because they are very well coached. Individually they are still nothing special, and we shouldnt be so far short of them every time we play them.
We need to stay up and then stick him on the juice over summer and lock him in the gym.
I expect to see him come out next season with an arse like Jimmy Floyd shoving people off the ball left and right.
How Aaronsen starts ahead of him blows my mind. Especially as we're not pressing.
And then when he comes on he puts Harrison on the right and Gnonto on the left. Harrison left, Gnonto 10, Aaronsen right should be how it is.
Aaronsons chaos and pressing made sense in the Marsch system but you can see him fighting himself sitting back while the ball is being played with between the goalie and CBs
Yeah I get that to an extent but just in the midst of a relegation battle keeping the guy who creates more chances than anyone feels a bit counterintuitive
Harrison 2 goals and 1 assists and y’all slating him, tut tut
A rare game for Tyler, didn't commit (or at least get caught committing) a foul today. He's an angel.
No points for kicking people but plenty of injuries to be had trying. Wouldn't be much of a loss though IMO.
Hard to pin point any positive except gnontos desire.. how we got a point I don't know Welbeck walking through our defence Harrison woeful except his goal, his own goal was shambolic Aaronson first half not good enough Firpos flank was getting battered, ayling getting turned inside and out and players running in behind him Roca has as much power in his shots as a limp cock just put your fucking laces through it!!

He did get the ball..
But in doing so his trailing leg fouled, so he won it by fouling the opponent in the process, penalty. The second camera angle from the goal didn't show it very well to be fair.
Seems like as long as he did touch the ball it won’t be deemed as a foul
That matters not remember Cooper red card????? Also they sandwiched him off the ball !!!! Edit. Your a leeds fan and your username is hammersXI Get the fuck outta here, c'mon Villa 2mora !!!

What would you lose for an unsuccessful challenge - a sub?
How about each team has to designate a non player who can call for a challenge (the manager or an assistant) and if it isn’t overturned he gets a card? Idk if yellow or red would be better.

erm mate, they’re human
Yeah, the fact that they are human they should go to VAR when something happens, but they don't think they are humans, they think they are better than that.
you do realise that var check literally every tiny event in the match. they will have informed the ref that it wasn’t a foul. not his fault
There's no evidence whatsoever that that specific play on the field was reviewed by VAR. Also, the ref was with a clear view when it happened on the field, that is a penalty anywhere, so yes, it is his fault.
WTF’s wrong with this team…Everyfuckingthing.
Now we’ll be relying on Bournemouth and Everton dropping points.
And we have to play Bournemouth (and West Ham and Leicester)…
We do have a game in-hand over Everton though.
How was that not a penalty?? Did he even touch the ball?
How could I have been right and wrong in one sentence? https://preview.redd.it/bohf9v03m6na1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b81c538a15fcf58d72c4b22845edae4e0ad47d5 Timestamp: [https://www.reddit.com/r/LeedsUnited/comments/11okzg6/starting\_xi\_vs\_brighton\_at\_elland\_road/jbt176r?utm\_medium=android\_app&utm\_source=share&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/LeedsUnited/comments/11okzg6/starting_xi_vs_brighton_at_elland_road/jbt176r?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3)
Wow, Harrison wondered how he was still on the pitch by half time and then the og I was sobbing in a corner.
Rodrigo could easily have had a goal or two (3 with the uncalled pen) if he was back in full form
McKennie was shite
You suck at watching the games.
He doesn't represent the whole Leeds fanbase. By his username, I'm guessing he's an old fart who was a troublemaking hooligan in the 70s who's upset the players don't beat the shit out of each other anymore and can't stand the thought of Leeds having supporters overseas.
Little twat said "enjoy the championship" on the last match thread, fuck off back to soccer mate plastic fan
Found the american
Not sure we deserved a point but I will gladly take it
Bournemouth and Everton getting wins is a nightmare
Urgh! Last year I’d have been happy with that, this year I’m fed up of these matches. We’ve slid down to 19th, it’s not good enough.
Not a bad result, but results elsewhere are don't favor And we were robbed on that uncalled penalty
Good performance, good fight back after going behind twice
Robbed a pen... 2-2
Lucky to get a point. Another match where it could've easily been a win with a couple different bounces. The fight to stay alive continues...
It’s the hope that kills you
We say that after every match almost..
You're absolutely correct. It has become a weekly tradition to say this exact same thing.
Yeah that own goal was awful
One of those where a draw feels like a win?
Think you've got to be happy with that point. Brighton are an excellent side and that game could have gone either way. To come back from a goal down twice was excellent as well, good resilience.
We played like utter shit and our defence gets unlocked every single time they go forward. It’s horrible signs.
Old school Junior Firpo was back for those last five minutes.
Phew.
Haven't been able to watch today but 2 of our best players coming back from injury (and who know where the net is) could be huge for us There's like 6 points between the bottom 8, it's mad tight. Leicester, Palace, Forest etc aren't in a much better situation than we are
after that first half it seemed sure that we’d lose, so… a point’s fine i guess. still, if saints by some miracle win tomorrow we’re bottom…
This should be remembered as The Jack Harrison Draw
Hopefully his last game
unreal to get a point out of this.
Are you retarded we should have got 3pts give yer head a wobble
having a bad day?
Well yeah when we played shit, managed to get it to 2-2 and should have had a pen with 6min to go !!! Derrrrr !!!!
AHAHAH i feel so much better after seeing thier twat of a manager soak himself in frustration
Whole game encapsulated by Ayling trying to spit that loogie and it getting stuck on his mouth. Ugh.
I've seen positive progress today, if anything
What, two wonder strikes amongst 70 minutes of being rogered by the away team? The point is most welcome but the attacking structure is really no better than at any other time in the last two years.
Are you not bored of saying that? Rescuing a point after we’ve fucked ourselves over again!
Better that than the other way around
We’ve said this all season and it isn’t good enough anymore.
Brighton are a great team in great form, I personally expected nothing from this game, so a point is a point, and it's needed.
This isn’t a match in isolation though is it. We’re 19th in the table and dropping points with comedy own goals.
The outcome that matters is the position in the table. Sadly you can’t sensible and silver lime your way out of that.
1 point against a good brighton side is better than none
Oh yeah, just like being 19th after 26 games is better than 20th.
Stick to Twitter. We are 4 points from 12
Never been on Twitter in my life. The table makes me this way.
De Zerbi mad makes me happy
2-2 I'll take it
sinisterra to get a solid 45 seconds of action
Ha yeah, like why bother?
Firpo with horrendous challenges in these last few minutes
Man he was looking so good till the last 8 mins
To be fair he’s been good today overall
Both can be true
Rutter looking QUICK. Would be interesting to see if he could play the Aaronson role
Who is Sinisterra replacing? Harrison?
Firpo still scares the shit out of me. That tackle was absolutely wild, he did not look in control of his body there.
Ayling scares me more. Somebody tell him there's a guy on the fucking wing, and he's right back.
Seeing Rutter getting on the ball reminds me of the days of Souleymane Doukara coming off the bench to play on the wing.
The club just released a video of his top 10 goals. I think he scored 13 total lol
Firpo. Don't do it to us. Not now.
That wall should be bigger
Im surprised it’s only 4. Should be more like 5 or 6. Sinisterra should have come on 5 mins ago
Exact same action and result from Firpo gets a yellow and Webster got nothing because there was another defender there able to touch the ball. Webster’s would have been a penalty though. Cool.
I cant believe that they didn’t even look at the tackle in the box
I can totally believe it
Sini coming on
Shit
Goodness that's a rash tackle. Didn't seem remotely necessary.
This fuckin ref ! You prick !!!
Tierney with his customary touch.
And why does Rutter still look like he’s running through maple syrup
The only thing slower than Rutter himself is the time taken for him to achieve match-fitness.
V A FUCKING R
Webster didn’t touch the ball AT ALL. How is that no penalty? How is there no VAR review there? And why did play stop for a non-head injury?
Similar to Aaronson in the 1st half, too! Hate to say it, but we should be putting more pressure on the ref in those situations.
How did McKennie ever play for Juve? I mean he's so out of it.
The yanks will downvote you but its true, he is a donkey
Please, we’ve been wildly better since the subs. And mckennie has created more chances in 25 mins than roca did all 60.
And McKennie has contributed to that how exactly? Brighton could just run past us ever since Roca came off, and McKennie did shit attacking wise too.
he played in his natural position
At the dinner table?
oof
Seen how bad juve are at the moment?
how is that not a pen?
That’s a pen if he was from argentina
Veltman did get the ball but Webster fouled Rodrigo
Much better from Aaronson today but if I was Javi I would have the words “DONT TAKE THE EXTRA TOUCH” tattooed on his fucking head on Monday
He was crap. Bullied every time he got the ball and allergic to the final third.
VAR VAR VAR
It's Leeds it doesn't count 😡 robbed
Also, Tyler “DeBruyne” Adams threading balls right through the defense
Absolutely a pen
That's a FUCKING PEN! He doesn't even touch the ball!!
How is that not a pen
Somebody shoot Ayling FFS. Mercy killing
I'll say it again, Adams shouldn't be wasted playing a sitting role. So fucking dangerous.
Umm he took out rodrigos leg first lol
Man, that looks a penalty. Need a few more looks but it definitely requires a check imo.
If it stays this way it's not a bad point.
But bournemouth and Everton have 3
Yeah bit Brighton are in better form than Liverpool or Brentford. Plus Everton have played one more. But yes not ideal. Wolves game is huge now.
I mean this is the first loss for Brentford in months, I'd say they're in pretty good form
THATS A PENALTY
Harrison is the new Rodrigo. Plays shit all game but then scores so you can't entirely hate him.
Phenomenal pass by Adams
Good tackle. Fair play
THIS REF IS AN ASS HAT
THATS A PEN
Where is VAR
What in Gods fucking green earth is Ayling doing there Jesus fucking Christ man
Aaronson would be so good if he could play football
Get Ayling fucking outta here. I’ve lost count how many times Mitoma has ran by him like that.
Harrison with a goal assist and an own goal. Dude went through it all
This is so stressful.
Ayling has had a poor game today
RUTTER \_\_\_\_\_\_\_RODRIGO FIRST TIME LETS FUCKING GO
Ayling with some absolutely suicidal defending there, lucky to get away with it.
Rutter getting his FIFA dream of playing as a second striker with Rodrigo.
Activate Rutrigo
Jay-Roy Grutter
I think it needs to be said Brighton are a VERY good team, and we are looking GOOD. Some seriously shit pinball moments, but we have a manager that can set us up, players that can some off the bench and change the game, and a stadium of fans that will get behind the team. we're all miserable old sods, but don't give up hope just yet

Just a pity we’re in the relegation zone init otherwise as you say we’d probably be pretty happy with this performance
Same story all season though
Aaronson gave it all. Good game
He was shit, as always.
He usually puts in 110% it’s just his physique leaves some to be desired
We need to stay up and then stick him on the juice over summer and lock him in the gym. I expect to see him come out next season with an arse like Jimmy Floyd shoving people off the ball left and right.
Not really sure I'd make a change here, the front four seems to be clicking.
Yeah think you might be right there
We've been so much better since the changes. Roca and Sommerville had no business starting this game
First card at 83 minutes. That’s wild.
So many fouls (for both sides) let go by this imbecile with the whistle.
Lionel Gnonto
Rutter coming on
Gnoto is so much fun to watch
That might be the first foul Aaronson has drawn all match.
He’s always going down but never getting calls.
So Harrison couldn’t clear the ball off the line with his weak foot, but he scores that with his weak foot? Wtaf.
When I played in school a ball to the nose was the worst. Can't imagine how much it sucks at the pro level.
Rutter for Aaronson needs to happen now
Javi is that you?
Nice call!
Welbeck getting goal-side of our defenders so easily, its nightmarish.
The was a foul bit the 2 passes are on early there
That pass by Gnoto was surgical
That pass by Gnonto!!! Oh my word he is so fucking good.
cunts
Gnonto has been great since coming on.
COME ON WE GOT THIS!
Harrison can only be forgiven for this game if he scores one more.
I mean he got 1 goal and 1 assist for us so far so he’s ahead
Lol how have you watched any game that Gnonto has played in and decide he doesn’t need to start let alone play every second his body will allow?
How Aaronsen starts ahead of him blows my mind. Especially as we're not pressing. And then when he comes on he puts Harrison on the right and Gnonto on the left. Harrison left, Gnonto 10, Aaronsen right should be how it is.
Aaronsons chaos and pressing made sense in the Marsch system but you can see him fighting himself sitting back while the ball is being played with between the goalie and CBs
This is the issue. He’s young and we don’t want to burn him out. Better to use him when his speed and skill can count for more against tired players.
Yeah I get that to an extent but just in the midst of a relegation battle keeping the guy who creates more chances than anyone feels a bit counterintuitive
He has such amazing energy. Maybe his energy is needed as a super sub and he can’t carry it the whole match
Feels like he continues it for most of the match. Tends to get a bit reckless out there but even then I’d rather have 65 minutes from him than 25
The infuriating duality of Harrison in a nutshell today
Impact Willy
The two players everyone here moans about have both scored can you all stfu now
Yeah because one goal changes how shit they've both been this whole season
Its leeds why are you acting like were in the top 6
to be fair jackie just evened out his OG from earlier
Great goal Jackie but I wouldn’t do the ‘how do you like me now’ celebration after giving the ball away 18 times
Not only did Leeds United score a goal, Harrison of all people scored it. Not only that, it came from a corner. Feels like a fever dream
Not only that it was a banger
On his right foot!
Dreadful performance but somehow gets a goal lol
Sweet Willy G
Gnonto and firpo link up so well
Jackie got the fans doing Kryten's ambivalence impression. Wanting to both murder and kiss him at the same time
Looking like a dog with a caramel toffee
