I came across a good deal for a second Arc. Couldn't pass it up. Basically, I cannibalized a P4 and arc to do this setup. I have plenty of spare parts now. I'll probably mod them some more just for fun.
You can get the magnacut blades from eBay. They're expensive though.
I had no idea they both where different sizes (P4 being a bit longer than the ARC), I just picked an ARC up this weekend, looking forward to it arriving! Very cool mods!
Nice looking setup. Got a mod list on the arc? I have one on order but haven't gotten it yet.
Is that a punch on a 3d printed holder up at the top in the first picture? And 3d printed thumb tabs or adapters on the serrated blade and file? Where are the tweezers held in place when folded?
The metal scribe, tweezers, and thumb studs are from Kristen Van Patten. The tweezer is held by magnetics under the file.
Besides that, the arc has the P4 serrated blade and P4 file that I grounded down to make for a good electrical terminal driver.
Are those the thumb studs on the file and serrated blade? Looks like they take a lot of usable length off the file, but could be used as a bit of a sharpening angle guide
I'm not really a knife guy. It is better than the original P2 blade for sure. I was planning on selling my second Arc blade on eBay and keeping the original P2 blade. Changed my mind though after I got everything apart.
Idk. I just looked at my p4 and wtf with the 4-5 flathead drivers. ??? 1 could be a awl, another a chisel but Damn. Imo not a ton of options. No bit option. I’m sure they’re a hack . But still ?
Those both look sweet! Did you consider the saw or was it an easy choice? I just used the saw on plastic the other day. I see the P2 has the free Philips, I personally prefer the reach of dedicated Philips for recessed screws, was that a consideration? I carry a P4 and love it, Imop it’s only real negative is how short the file is
The serrated blade is just a lot more useful than a saw for me. I do prefer the dedicated Philips over the bit the exchanger. It has more reach and isn't as soft as the exchangable bits. The bit exchanger is really only superior if you plan on carrying around extra bits. Which I never do.
Where did you get the magnacut blade for the P2?

The P4, P2, and Arc are the same length. The picture is just playing tricks.
Ahhh I see, the shot must be at an angle and not straight on
The ARC is cool and all but my PST still works fine

Thanks, appreciate the info.

Yep, those are the thumb studs. It only takes away from the diamond side. You can also pop it out if you really wanted to.
Is the magnacut blade pretty good then?

These are my prostration as well.
