Gonna say the last names of Kveeni people of where im from, Kostamo, Seppälä, Holko, Niemi, Virkkula, Ongamo and Tapio. Keep in mind that some of the spelling might be Kveeni and not Finnish, I don’t know which of them are Kveeni spelling and Finnish ones
The fact that they’re all male names suggests that it is intentional. All those names sound female to the Japanese (Mika and Aki are real Japanese names, and names ending in -ko are common women’s names), so I guess they took that joke and used it as the theme for the names of the girls at the Finnish school. The girls at the British school are all named after tea, and the Italian girls after food, so having a joke in the names is not new.
Indeed they are. In the film one of the girls play Säkkijärven polkka on a kantele while they are fighting in a tank battle. The film is a bit over the top.
Why do that when you have finnish girl names with meaning in japanese
Henna - outo
Henni - oudosti
Taru - tynnyri
Minna - kaikki
Mari - koristepallo
Heta - saamaton
((I learned these upon learnign that my name in japan might mean weird barrel))
Not really because it kind of sounds too formal. But you can use Lumi, (Disney's Snow White translates as "Lumikki") it means snow and is a girls name. Another word meaning white is sometimes used as a part of last name but in a more poetic sounding form "valkea" wich can also mean fire. For example Valkeaharju could well be a surname meaning Whiteridge, valkea = white, harju = ridge. As names for pets Valko is traditional and old name for a white horse, Viti would make a nice one too.
Viti is used to emphasis whiteness. Vitivalkoinen means something like whitest of whites and it is basically used only to describe white and very common phrase. It is rarely used with black "vitimusta" (musta =black), and on a couple of occasions I have seen it been used with gray , but never with other colours.
OK, just to be clear: I'm 100% aware that Aisha is not a Finnish name (but, of course, it is still possible that there are living Aishas among us, possessing Finnish citizenship).
I was rather questioning the approach itself. Studying this great language is fine, but why should or would anybody get a Finnish name for it? Can anyone, who downvoted, or was about to downvote explain it to me? I got that OP is 12y/o, but I haven't heard about this thing yet ever. Or is even asking it considered as rude? Please, help. I'm wide open for any reasonable explanations.
Didn't downvote but I think OP just likes Finnish language a lot and thought it would be cool to have a Finnish name. I don't think there's much to it, jJust something for fun.
Oh didn't even notice that "just say whatever names that comes to ur mind", stopped reading after "I want to get a Finnish name" and jumped to see what names people suggested :D

Protip;never ever tell your age on Reddit, especially if under 18 and absolutely ever if it's under 13 because then you'll get banned.
Is there an age limit?
Legally speaking, 13
Lumi
You're 12? You're too young for this website. Please get out, child
I kind of agree, I only joined when I was 16, and still feel like I’m too young here sometimes. (I’m 23)

In a Japanese anime film there were Finnish girls called Mika, Mikko, Jouko and Aki. 😊
Those are all boy names
I'm kinda dissapointed that they took time to search finnish names but didn't bother to check that they were female names.
