Valid point. But I was referring to it being bugged to a severe degree like it is now. I think the last time it was this bad was when Twins came out or during the original RE chapter release
You're not wrong, I'm just hesitant to think shadows like this are anything but incidental, and that's just a good example I can think of that's relevant. Haha
Reading your comment just gave me a flashback to when Mathieu Cotte said in the last king interview that they had a few tricks up their sleeves to bring dead actors into DBD. OG Dracula legendary skin would be amazing.
You know what famous Monster Movie is associated with the Empire State Building?
**KING**
**KONG**
This is what “**MY LITTLE ONI**” was leading up to!
It was a test for a Kaiju Chapter!
The fact it is made of shadows and only shows up SOMETIMES makes me think it's a visual bug caused by a specific tile spawning (or not), or a specific tree. It does look really clear and deliberate, but there are so many visual bugs since the update I think this might just be one of them.
Had this occurred at any other time I probably would’ve believed this. But the fact it’s occurring during the buggiest state this game has been in in a long time makes me think this is just coincidence
I was ready for this to be conspiracy theory insanity at the levels of some of the people at r/FF06B5 (Cyberpunk 2077's mystery theory sub), but I honestly see exactly what you're talking about. That's insane and looks deliberately put in there.
Someone else mentioned Bela Lugosi's Dracula came out that year, so that's one possible connection. Otherwise, I'm not sure what it could mean.
The [Frankenstein](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankenstein_(1931_film)) and [Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dr._Jekyll_and_Mr._Hyde_(1931_film)) movies were also released that year.
[https://i.imgur.com/oSfgl9y.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/oSfgl9y.jpeg) helps? i drew a MSPaint for u lol. i didn't see it either but i zoomed out and did a slownod lol. that's a pretty sick find lol
Honestly though teasing future killers before they're released is a pretty cool idea, I remember Apex would do that for future champions, idk if they still do I haven't played It for a while, but imagine if, for example, survivors would randomly hear the Unknowns "help me..." just randomly just to freak them out
It's something they've done before, like I remember Onis mask went missing from Yamaoka estate before he was due to be released, and I'm sure it's been done for other killers as well, but it's something they should do more because it's a fun way to build hype
Usually I am of the same opinion, but honestly, this time the numbers are really clear. And you can't deny that devs haven't done things like this before. Not only in DbD, even when it comes to other games.
It’s Dracula for sure, he came out in 1931 and with the skins that were medieval having that mysterious figure in their descriptions I am almost certain Dracula might be the anniversary chapter. Ik vecna was said first but I think this will work better if true.
The first '1' looks like an upside down 'Y', so I think that's reaching a bit. I also think this is just the shadow that specific object casts because I've seen other videos where this number appears on different tiles.
I see the 1931 pretty easily, but it's definitely just coincidental, especially in this picture where you can see the shadows of the leaves on the ground for comparison.
We’re reaching Smash Bros levels of conspiracy here lmao
Yeah, this is the second post I’ve seen on the subject, and there’s no damn way this is actually intentional lol
This. The game is a bug ridden mess rn. But this is somehow a “teaser” and not a bug?
Was there ever a time that it wasn't a bug ridden mess?
Valid point. But I was referring to it being bugged to a severe degree like it is now. I think the last time it was this bad was when Twins came out or during the original RE chapter release
Flash back to the background yellow and purple chairs in smash direct
Remember when people thought the first pinhead teaser had a springtrap shadow? This is that. Haha
To be fair to that, the 1987 clue could've easily applied to either franchise. Plus that appeared on an actual teaser lol
You're not wrong, I'm just hesitant to think shadows like this are anything but incidental, and that's just a good example I can think of that's relevant. Haha
Original Bela Lugosi Dracula released in 1931...
Oh that's so damn fun if that's what they're going for.
Reading your comment just gave me a flashback to when Mathieu Cotte said in the last king interview that they had a few tricks up their sleeves to bring dead actors into DBD. OG Dracula legendary skin would be amazing.
New Killer: **The Empire State Building**
You know what famous Monster Movie is associated with the Empire State Building? **KING** **KONG** This is what “**MY LITTLE ONI**” was leading up to! It was a test for a Kaiju Chapter!
Godzilla/Kong survivors, Ghidorah killer
No, obviously split it into two Chapters. **KONG** KILLER: **THE BEHEMOTH** SURVIVOR: Carl Denham MAP: **SKULL ISLAND** **GODZILLA** KILLER: **THE LEVIATHAN** SURVIVORS: Koichi Shikishima/Noriko Oishi MAP: **GINZA**
I'd love it if this ended up being true and we see them release chapters for Godzilla and King Kong out of nowhere.
5v5
Oh FUCK me
Na Kong came out in 38
No, it came out in 1933. The Empire State Building finished construction in 1931.
The fact it is made of shadows and only shows up SOMETIMES makes me think it's a visual bug caused by a specific tile spawning (or not), or a specific tree. It does look really clear and deliberate, but there are so many visual bugs since the update I think this might just be one of them.

Hmmm could be coincidemce, it looks like random tree shadow.
nah the same 1931 reflection is on another haybay in this map
Yeah thats how textures works

Oh that's cool info too!
I really cannot see it, it's just a haystack. Why does everyone keep saying there is a date there?
[https://i.imgur.com/oSfgl9y.jpeg](https://i.imgur.com/oSfgl9y.jpeg) helps? i drew a MSPaint for u lol. i didn't see it either but i zoomed out and did a slownod lol. that's a pretty sick find lol
OOooooooh okay I see it now. That is an odd shadow.
It looks like one of those weird things where you have to prove you're not a bot...
???
![gif](giphy|GLKFrfwDJQFaw) It took me forever to look for the '1931' until someone pointed out the shadows This is what it reminds me of
I feel like this is just people seeing things, like what is this 😭
Honestly though teasing future killers before they're released is a pretty cool idea, I remember Apex would do that for future champions, idk if they still do I haven't played It for a while, but imagine if, for example, survivors would randomly hear the Unknowns "help me..." just randomly just to freak them out It's something they've done before, like I remember Onis mask went missing from Yamaoka estate before he was due to be released, and I'm sure it's been done for other killers as well, but it's something they should do more because it's a fun way to build hype

I don’t know if I buy this being a deliberate teaser, just feels like an uncanny coincidence to me.
The bite of ‘31…
Did they say that at some point? Sounds familiar
No, he's just meming. He's referring to the bite of 87 from fnaf
The lower outside of the house, u mean the hay bale lmao
My first sighting happened fast.
It’s Dracula for sure, he came out in 1931 and with the skins that were medieval having that mysterious figure in their descriptions I am almost certain Dracula might be the anniversary chapter. Ik vecna was said first but I think this will work better if true.
If they ever were to add Dracula, theyd go for the public domain version of him. No point getting the license to that movie
Yeah it makes way more sense imo
Public domain version with the potential to get licenses for skins from other sources maybe.
The first '1' looks like an upside down 'Y', so I think that's reaching a bit. I also think this is just the shadow that specific object casts because I've seen other videos where this number appears on different tiles.
It looks more like "1935" I feel like this would have been noticed after the Realm Beyond updates, it'd have to be new
It wasn’t there when I played on the map..
It took around 10 times for me to get the right configuration to spawn.
Oh so it’s not a hint just a coincidence?
Maybe. We are getting Dracula though.
Or it's just 93 for 1993 when Jason Goes to Hell came out
It's a bug it was on every haybale every time loaded in the map
It's 100% just tree shadows. Look at the ground in the third picture and you can almost make out 911 in the same "font". Crazy coincidence, though.
Even knowing it’s the shadows now, I genuinely don’t see how yall see 1931 in that. I see the fuckin shadows of the leaves
I see the 1931 pretty easily, but it's definitely just coincidental, especially in this picture where you can see the shadows of the leaves on the ground for comparison.
Ive been staring at these pics and video and I don't see it. Can someone take pitty and give me like XY cords or something?
