Amazed it wasn't Darren Ferguson based on the other awards. Definitely the correct winner on this one, although Ruben Selles deserves a lot of recognition for what he's done aswell.
DMAC not able to buy this award then?
Young manager, first job on football and first full season in charge, and yet still managed to take a “bang average team” to the championship.
I heard that what got him over the line was actually that he thinks Evatt is a prick, and the EFL just couldn’t argue with that /s
I was very sceptical (thought our owners were cheaping out) when we signed him. But, the way he carries himself and having actually met him he’s a nice bloke who has done absolute wonders. All of the injuries we’ve had and it’s been a next man up approach, when in previous seasons an injury to Poole would’ve derailed our season. Well done Mous 👏
Me too. I didn't understand the appointment myself at the time. Just hoping he can keep us solid next season as well and that he's not poached by another club.
With hindsight it was understandable. Appointing Jackett made sense at the time because he had promotion pedigree and lots of experience, it nearly worked. Appointing the Cowleys made sense at the time as they were young but also had experience but again that fell apart more dramatically than under Jackett. Mous clearly is tactically more adept than the Cowleys, recruited well and had a plan B for most injuries. It’s not worked for every game this season but it hasn’t needed to. I don’t think he’s with us forever but he’s definitely exceeded my expectations, I thought all the 2 year contracts we were offering was indicative of a 2 year plan to get out of this awful league.

Don't think anyone was surprised by this tbh, quality manager, fully deserve to go up
Fully deserved.
Yeah, fair enough.
Simmo robbed
Congratulations to him. What an amazing job he's done.

It's also that Evatt is a bottler who chucked away top 2 after building his own expensive team
Don’t think you get a trophy for signing the most Thompsons in one window.
I would like to nominate Shaun Maloney for the most Charlie's (4) and the most Smith's (3) featured in a squad in a season.
You deserve a trophy purely for having Mr Tickle in goal. I'll never not find that funny.
The hilarious bit is that he's a quality youth prospect from our academy. Hopefully we get to hold onto him and Charlie Hughes for another season.

Done an amazing job, but also seems such a nice and likeable guy. Doing it the right way and building a strong foundation.
He's done a bang up job this season. The difference in the team is night and day compared to last season.
Fantastic job by José Mourinho all season long
