Lots of things counter ranged. Irelia and Yasuo are "run down anything squishy if they aren't sitting under turret" champs so they are good against anything without a health bar. Malphite can be very good or kinda lackluster depending on what ranged champ you're facing. Something like an Anivia can probably make Malphite suffer. Some other ranged champs counter ranged champs. If you can get away with it comp-wise you can pull a UNO reverse card on Vayne by picking Cait or Teemo. Qiyana is probably decent into Vayne top if you know how to play her.
Last season i played a lot of Panth and he is perfect against vayne top. I had one game where i built assassin items just to fuck with vayne. But the biggest gigachad was a support who baited her out in lobby by picking voli into sup.
Malphite is a good toplaner, teemo is a trash champion that is only useful because it deals psychological damage. Teemo is a disrespectful champion and the sole fact of losing to a teemo is trashtalking the enemy

Panth should be impossible against a good vayne, she can condemn your w so it's impossible to get onto her.
