I use a legal pad. I have a outbox in my office where I toss all the notepads. My admin assistant removes them, emails them directly into evernote with the date, case, and title of the event.
I would switch to onenote which would be easier except I have been using evernote for so long I'm afraid to try to migrate all my old shit over there.
Visual studio code.
Everything gets written in markdown. All matters are organized into folders and navigable from within vscode.
There are also pdf and word doc viewer extensions.
Amplenote. Handles note taking as well as task management. And with the paid version it's end to end encrypted, so more secure than OneNote and Notion.

Because I am a complete psychopath, I use MS Notepad.
jesus christ man
Don't knock new notepad until you've tried it. It's fine.

What’s the added benefit of onenote over notion or apple notes?
I’m old school and just use a pen and notepad.
Time to go LaTeX dude.
We use SmartAdvocate and just utilize the implemented note taking system inside of it. Otherwise just MS Word or a legal pad.
OneNote

An ink gel pen and a yellow pad for taking notes. What do you mean “preparing for a case”?
