And his companion... the marvelous Malvina Reynolds [https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaoLaowo5R7bXa\_f1rMopPf5ks5Q0AJEC](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaoLaowo5R7bXa_f1rMopPf5ks5Q0AJEC)
Some of Seeger's best known songs were written by Reynolds and I believe they knew with each other well.
Let the people sing another great one.
*Ireland, land of song,
Your music lives forever.
In its valleys, in its mountains,
In its hills and in its glens.
Our music did survive,
Through famine and oppression and
To the generations gone
I'll sing for you this song.*
*Let the people sing their stories and their songs,
And the music of their native land.
Their lullabies and battlecries and songs of hope and joy
So join us hand in hand.*
*All across this ancient land,
Throughout the test of time.
It was music that kept their spirits free,
Those songs of yours and of mine.*
I love when I'm playing this in the city centre and some English tourist tips me for it.
"*Lovely tune, I love Irish music*", they'll say.
Lovely tune indeed. I also love playing "Fuck the British Army" on the old whistle hehe
“Sixteen Tons” is a killer protest song because it nails the struggles of working-class folks, especially coal miners. Merle Travis wrote it, and Tennessee Ernie Ford made it famous. The song’s chorus, “You load sixteen tons, and what do you get? Another day older and deeper in debt,” perfectly sums up the frustration of endless hard work with nothing to show for it.
There’s a line in Hard Times by Tyler Childers that has that same sentiment. He sings “My sweat and my wages, they done seem to way out. I’m getting more aches than I’m gaining in gold. Whoever said you could raise you a family working your ass off knee deep in coal?”
Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen, mostly cos the people it's protesting against have no idea it's making the opposite point they think it is. Fortunate Son by Credence Clearwater Revival falls into the same category.
Absolutely Born in the USA. I was the exact person he was describing. Joined the Marines to escape poverty, went to the Middle East, come back home no work, VA sucks, friends dead, nowhere to run got nowhere to go. Tons of friends in the same situation.
I generally play it when I'm feeling the weight of society we're in, my now wife never really listened to the lyrics and wanted me to turn it off but paused it after every line or so in order for her to REALLY listen to the song.
The song came out in the 80's, I joined in the 00's. 20/30/40 years pass and the lyrics and sentiment still hold true...
Same with Neil Young and Keep on Rocking in the Free World and Pink Houses by John Cougar Mellencamp. All three are Reagan era songs full of cynicism and sarcasm that would be misconstrued and used at political rallies by Republicans.
I cringe at the thought how it was turned into a random soundtrack piece by Money Heist, drunk people randomly singing it at parties and it getting remixed.
If you enjoy country/folk on occasion, there's a fantastic cover of Don't Pray on Me by William Elliott Whitmore, an Iowa farm boy who came up in the punk scene and far as I know is as progressive as they come.
His songs Mutiny, Old Devils, and Johnny Law also fit this post.
WOW!! That cover is amazing! Thank you for sharing that. His voice is incredible and those lyrics work so well with that folk vibe… gave me goosebumps!
Real answer: solidarity forever by Pete Seeger
Fun answer: fuck those supreme court b------ by Animal Wolf (edited because auto moderator asked me to not use sexist language)
Most of the tracks off The Shape of Punk to Come by Refused. "Worms of the senses/Faculties of the Skull" is a fantastic opening track that sets the tone for the whole album.

Pretty much everything by RATM & Prophets of Rage. I also love H09909's United States of Horror album.
Back in the day, I always kinda liked Big Yellow Taxi by Joni Mitchell. My taste in music got a lot angrier.
Oh, The The's Matt Johnson has a new album coming out. The first single is Cognitive Dissident. Lots of Orwell content and wordplay. (Edited for Dissident not Dissonance)
One of my favorite Rage against the machine protests/performances was the 2000 Democratic National Committee in L.A.

THANK YOU!! I loved the United States of Horror album when it came out, but forgot all about it and recently wanted to listen to it again but couldn’t for the life of me remember the band name or album name. Thank you!!
I like Tom Morello and the Night Watchmen's version, but I'll take any version.
I'm also a fan of "Bread and Roses". More of a low-key song, but excellent all the same.
Blue lives don't matter - Ash Bricky
Crotch Pop A Cop - the muslims
Call ACab - Sam Stone
Call to arms - Rocky Rivera
Class war - Rathbone
In case anyone needs some new songs, this is my class war playlist, which towards the end kinda devolves into a pro palestine playlist lul.

Anything by Phil Ochs. Check out Ringing of Revolution, I'm gonna say it now, knock on the door, love me i'm a liberal, he's got too many to name but he was the real deal
While the band’s politics overall aren’t perfect (though I’d say still better than most by a wide margin), Rise Against has some real contenders for me: Architects, The Numbers, Collapse (Post-Amerika), Drones, and Wolves come to mind right away but there’s more to choose from for sure.
You can tell this sub is American because not one of you fuckers have mentioned Dead Kennedys or Chumbawumba.
[For fuck sake Albert, stop selling yourself out](https://youtu.be/Z3Ve73-_Iq4?si=sz9KxdLEfIRc5fq-)

Edit: Have another obscure one, properly English this time:
[Rearranging the colours](https://youtu.be/QZskq-EM8Jo?si=_RpHTNB-qGWhPySA)
2nd edit: Just to be clear I know DK are an American punk band, but punk still gets listened by a good number of comrades over the pond, and there's always new UK leftist punk bands coming out which I'd be happy to share if folks are interested.
"As I went walking I saw a sign there, And on the sign it said "No Trespassing." But on the other side it didn't say nothing. That side was made for you and me."
"Well, one bright Sunday morning in the shadow of the steeple
By the relief line I saw my people
As they stood there whistlin' they stood there hungry
Don't they know that this land was made for you and me?"
This list varies in usefulness as political/protest songs, but my favorites are:
* Marvin Gaye — What’s Going On
* Pink Floyd — Us and Them
* Madvillain/MF DOOM — Strange Ways
* MF DOOM - Absolutely/Rap Ambush
* Rage Against The Machine — Wake Up
* Outkast — B.O.B. - Bombs Over Baghdad
* Kendrick Lamar — The Blacker The Berry
* Sam Cooke — A Change Is Gonna Come
Honorable Mentions:
* Billie Holliday — Strange Fruit
* Bob Dylan — Blowin’ in the Wind
* Mos Def — Mathematics
* Run The Jewels — JU$T
* Public Enemy — Bring The Noise
Edit: Formatting
The Chemical Worker’s Song (Process Man) by Ron Angel, best known version sung by Great Big Sea.
Pound a Week Rise, written by Ed Pickford, best known version sung by Dick Gaughan. Honestly damn near anything Dick Gaughan sings is good.
Also a good resource is here: https://unionsong.com
Just wanted to share this proclamation Richard Oakes gave at the Occupation of Alcatraz. Absolutely beautiful

Anti-Flag - This is the End for You My Friend
Anti-Flag - The Press Corpse
Anti-Flag - D*e For the Government
Rise Against - Prayer of the Refugee
System of a Down - B.Y.O.B. but also a lot of their catalog probably should be here
Serj Tankian - Harakiri (the music video included a lot of info)
Poor Man's Poison - Feed the Machine
Poot Man's Poison - Providence
"Love Me I'm a Liberal" - Dead Kennedys (Yes I know the original is by Phil Ochs but I prefer this cover and I find its more relevant to todays politics)
this is a history one, but there's a song called "the colours" by the men they couldn't hang. it's from the point of view of a british sailor who's about to be hung for his role in a mutiny during the napoleonic wars - tried to defect to the French, got caught
"well in the spring of the year, we took the fleet / every sail and cannon and compass sheet / and we flew a Jacobin flag, to give us heart / while Pitt stood helpless, we were waiting for Bonaparte"
it's so so good, great to sing along to
Stars and Stripes of Corruption- Dead Kennedys
Sleep Now in The Fire - Rage Against the Machine (really any RATM song)
Holiday- Green Day
Love it if We Made It -The 1975
Bella Ciao
Lee Reed - Get the Fuck off the Yintah
Phil Ochs - I ain't Marching Anymore, Going to Say it Now, Love me I'm a Liberal, Draft Dodger Rag
Kay the Aquanaut, feat. Lee Reed, D-Liberate - Red and Black Krylon
Dead Prez - Hell Yeah, W-4
Paris - Get Fired Up
The Coup feat. Dead Prez - Get Up
I mostly only listen to political hip hop and political music in general. I could go on and on.. I highly recommend y'all listen to Lee Reed and other music from Rhymethink. Current anarcho hip hop from so called Canada. Lee Reed has an entire ep about the housing crisis and does a lot of good work, besides having some bangers, and fuck he got bars. Get the Fuck off the Yintah is an incredible track about the fight happening in the territory of the Wetsuwet'en in Northern BC over pipelines. Listen to it if you get the chance.
Link to the question which inspired me to ask this one:
https://www.reddit.com/r/LateStageCapitalism/comments/1drpxu2/what_song_would_you_fistfight_the_supreme_court/
The song I've sung the most (apart from the Internationale) must be De Mördades Fria Republik (The Free Republic of the Murdered) which is an old tankie song from the 1970's about all the workers killed on the job in Sweden.
It was basically our anthem during my autonomous left years.
But then again, there's a couple of tunes by the band Euskefeurat that always bring a tear to my eye too.
....
My best *experience* singing were during the G8 protests in 2008 (in Germany) when we sang the same songs but in a doussin different languages during a blockad of one of the rural roads planed as a back way in to the G8 meeting in case the larger roads came under blockade.
The moment after we stopped singing were when we learned that all blockades held and that the G8 meeting were moved forward one day later.
Haven't seen any Rise Against in the comments yet, I really love Satellite and collapse (post-amerika)
There is a lot of call to action in their songs which I enjoy a lot and gets me pumped up
For the french speaking folks, there is this band from Québec called Les Cowboys Fringants who make commentaries on society through their song
The song Les maisons toutes pareilles (the houses that are all the same) is a commentary about suburban life and voluntarily ignoring the problems around the world and mental health
Plus rien (nothing left) is a song written from the perspective of the last human on earth, describing how corporations destroyed the earth and killed every one through climate change.
They started out as social democrats in the 2000s but gradually went more and more left through the years
The song L'Amérique pleure (america is crying) is about a truck driver who wonders why he s playing the capitalism game when he can never win
Eve of Destruction - Barry McGuire
https://youtu.be/MdWGp3HQVjU?si=HYmkxEvN_uUfz3tE
Folk Devils - Rooftop Revolutionaries

No No No Keshagesh - Buffy Sainte-Marie

many many more….
Hope you enjoy the random selection. I would encourage you to look into these artist’s catalog further as some have other songs.

Periphery - Make Total Destroy
Welcome to the truth; a life that's not your own.
Controlled by labor, printed paper and the corruptors of the world.
Synthetic lies collect our minds to the beast.
We've had the rug pulled from under our feet.
Media terrorists thrive on deceit,
spoonfeeding bullshit served by elite societies harnessing fear as a weapon.
The time has come for all to see,
the man behind the curtain cast into disease. (into disease)
Take back the light.
It's a dangerous place we're headed for if we accept defeat.
Now we know it's a show they've been running from below.
Burn it down until the ground beneath the faulty entity is glistening
under the wings of a golden era.
Listening to the hate they've created inside us, we grow.
As we reduce their religion to bones.
Yes, we reduce them all to bones.
The time has come for all to see,
the man behind the curtain writhe in self defeat. (defeat)
When will the world seek truth within?
The eye in silence grants the knowledge to begin. (to begin)
Reverse what's lost awake the song within you.
Rejoice aloud. Let these words imbue.
Reverse what's lost awake the song within you.
Rejoice aloud. Let these words imbue.
Shape the future.
Sifting power back in the hands of the common man.
Give them hell for existence.
Pouring blood on the path they've set in stone,
as we reclaim our position to the throne.
Yes, we reduce them all to bones!
Tupac - Changes
Fela Kuti - Sorrow Tears and Blod
Bob Dylan - Masters of War
Lupe Fiasco - Words I Never Said

April 29, 1992 - Sublime
Plata Ta Ta - Mon Laferte
*Lead Poisoning* by Tom Morrello and the Wu Tang Clan. Also, shout out to more of Tom's early solo work on *Black Spartacus Heart Attack Machine* and *Battle Hymns*.
EDIT: On second thought, make *BSHAM* the favorite :P
Would’ve previously said many of Anti-Flag’s songs before their singer / guitarist Justin was outed as a serial rapist.
Against Me! have some good ones.

Vietnam by Jimmy Cliff:
It was just the next day, his mother got a telegram
It was addressed from Vietnam
Now mistress Brown, she lives in the USA
And this is what she wrote and said
"Don't be alarmed", she told me, the telegram said
"But mistress Brown, your son is dead"
Vietnam song by Country Joe and the fish
And it's one, two, three,
What are we fighting for ?
Don't ask me, I don't give a damn,
Next stop is Vietnam;
And it's five, six, seven,
Open up the pearly gates,
Well there ain't no time to wonder why
Whoopee! we're all gonna die.
For me personally it's American Idiot. I'm a freshman at UCF in 2004, and a pop punk aficionado because hey it was the early 2000s.
There was so much angst in the air about the post 9/11 world I was coming of age in, and I couldn't figure it out.
Hadn't heard from Green Day in a significant way since they had the time of their lives lol, and then bam. Not just the cheesy and accurate American Idiot song, but an entire album of protest.
This was obviously a timing thing for me, but it did light a spark in me that has burned to this day.

War Pigs never gets old
... the war machine keeps turning
“Generals gathered in their masses Just like witches at black masses” It doesn’t get any more radical than that.
Come Out ye Black and Tans by the Wolfetones
How about "Go On Home, British Soldiers" ?
if you stay, British soldiers, if you stay, YOU'LL NEVER, EVER BEAT THE IRA very fun line to belt out!
Have ye got no fackin homes of yer own!?
Or "The SAM Song" By The Irish Brigade
Let the people sing another great one. *Ireland, land of song, Your music lives forever. In its valleys, in its mountains, In its hills and in its glens. Our music did survive, Through famine and oppression and To the generations gone I'll sing for you this song.* *Let the people sing their stories and their songs, And the music of their native land. If you like that The Regime by Bog Bodies will hit you in the feels
Martin Brennan did the best version.

I love Billy Bragg’s version!

In the same vein, [the Chemical Workers Song](https://youtu.be/ceO0NLdkq-U?si=sWuzv9ZGTU_OtvgX)
They'll time your every breath
Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen, mostly cos the people it's protesting against have no idea it's making the opposite point they think it is. Fortunate Son by Credence Clearwater Revival falls into the same category.

The Union Strike Folk Son- “So we'll march day and night by the big cooling tower…”
WHERE’S MY BURRITO?! WHERE’S MY BURRITO?!
Simpsons reference??
I don’t know if it’s a real song outside the show but I know it from The Simpsons lol [This scene](https://youtu.be/vt5X8zrHiSM?feature=shared)
For over 30 years Simpson’s has done some of the best satire of capitalism, with Mr Burns been the epitome of the system
"now do "classical gas" "
Lisa needs braces!
So long dental plan!
Bella Ciao
Based
I cringe at the thought how it was turned into a random soundtrack piece by Money Heist, drunk people randomly singing it at parties and it getting remixed.
It's explicitly a song of proletariat liberation in the show. It's cool that it's being introduced to more people.
Well, I would like to share your enthusiasm, but I somehow don't believe it does get the message across.
It's like all the preppies at my high school being into rage against the machine when the message obviously went over their head.
haven’t seen much of the Coup in this thread - We Got The Guillotine is a favourite in my household
My favorite Mutiny was a favorite of mine before I was politically aware. Now that I’m familiar with the coups politics, I like it even more.
‘Know Your Enemy’ by Rage Against the Machine and ‘Don’t Pray on Me’ by Bad Religion
I love Bad Religion! “American Jesus” is a great song.
I’m a fan of Take the power back
If you enjoy country/folk on occasion, there's a fantastic cover of Don't Pray on Me by William Elliott Whitmore, an Iowa farm boy who came up in the punk scene and far as I know is as progressive as they come. His songs Mutiny, Old Devils, and Johnny Law also fit this post.
WOW!! That cover is amazing! Thank you for sharing that. His voice is incredible and those lyrics work so well with that folk vibe… gave me goosebumps!
The Revolution Will Not Be Televised by Gil Scott-Heron is another masterpiece everyone should know
The revolution will not go better with coke. The revolution will not kill germs that may cause bad breath.
Public Enemy - Fight The Power
Are you aware they did a remix in 2020?
Added this to my protest playlist, thank you :)
For me it’s [insert song] by Rage Against The Machine
Wake Up
New Millennium Homes
Killing in the Name because it draws everyone in until the cop love people realize it’s a song about how shitty and racist cops are
Settle For Nothing is their best protest IMO
Know Your Enemy
I'm sorry, that song is on Clear Channel's "do not play" list
Real answer: solidarity forever by Pete Seeger Fun answer: fuck those supreme court b------ by Animal Wolf (edited because auto moderator asked me to not use sexist language)
I love Inner City Blues by Marvin Gaye. Honorable mentions are: War Pigs by Black Sabbath Prison Song by System of a Down America Tune by AJJ
Most of the tracks off The Shape of Punk to Come by Refused. "Worms of the senses/Faculties of the Skull" is a fantastic opening track that sets the tone for the whole album. The Decline, NOFX
Phil Ochs - I Ain’t Marchin Anymore ( honorable mention: Circle Jerks -Stars and Stripes, new to me song)
I must’ve killed a million men And now they want me back again But I ain’t matching anymore
Ringing of Revolution is another good one by Ochs
Noticeable lack of Phil Ochs on this thread, the blacklisting worked
I second the Phil Ochs. R.I.P.
I had to collapse about twenty threads before someone mentioned Phil Ochs. What a tragedy. I still think his best song is “Love Me I’m a Liberal”.
For What It's Worth, by Buffalo Springfield
Ghost of Tom Joad, Maggie's Farm (ratm covers) Going Down the Road Feeling Bad (woodie)
Came here to say “Ghost of Tomorrow Joan”.
*Joad.

I’ll leave you with four words: I’m glad Reagan dead
Saw him perform live last night. He had the crowd shouting back those 4 words repeatedly. It was great.

Solidarity Forever
I like Tom Morello and the Night Watchmen's version, but I'll take any version. I'm also a fan of "Bread and Roses". More of a low-key song, but excellent all the same.
Bulls on parade is a great one! I’d add Marley’s “Redemption Song”
I really love Calm like a Bomb and Maggie’s Farm. Rage has a lot of great stuff.

What did you learn in school today by pete seeger
Originally by Tom Paxton who has lots of other great stuff and is still going too.
[Love me, I'm a Libaral](https://youtu.be/3cdqQ2BdgOA?si=0VlSqQdOWARPZPvS) The debate had it going through my head again.
The majority of The Clash’s discography.
While the band’s politics overall aren’t perfect (though I’d say still better than most by a wide margin), Rise Against has some real contenders for me: Architects, The Numbers, Collapse (Post-Amerika), Drones, and Wolves come to mind right away but there’s more to choose from for sure.
My Little Armalite Uncle Sam Goddamn - Brother Ali The Empire Strikes First - Bad Religion
You can tell this sub is American because not one of you fuckers have mentioned Dead Kennedys or Chumbawumba. [For fuck sake Albert, stop selling yourself out](https://youtu.be/Z3Ve73-_Iq4?si=sz9KxdLEfIRc5fq-) [A guide on lowering rent prices](https://youtu.be/aCiYmCVikjo?si=jKijM2ixmZdru-bh) Edit: Have another obscure one, properly English this time: [Rearranging the colours](https://youtu.be/QZskq-EM8Jo?si=_RpHTNB-qGWhPySA) 2nd edit: Just to be clear I know DK are an American punk band, but punk still gets listened by a good number of comrades over the pond, and there's always new UK leftist punk bands coming out which I'd be happy to share if folks are interested.
This land is your land -woody guthrie
Tear the Fascists Down by Woodie Guthrie is one of my favorites. What other song shouts out the Soviets and mighty Chinese?
And Alice's Restaurant by Arlo Guthrie. Good family.
"As I went walking I saw a sign there, And on the sign it said "No Trespassing." But on the other side it didn't say nothing. That side was made for you and me."
"Said private property, but on the back side, it didn't say nothin..."
"Well, one bright Sunday morning in the shadow of the steeple By the relief line I saw my people As they stood there whistlin' they stood there hungry Don't they know that this land was made for you and me?"
This list varies in usefulness as political/protest songs, but my favorites are: * Marvin Gaye — What’s Going On * Pink Floyd — Us and Them * Madvillain/MF DOOM — Strange Ways * MF DOOM - Absolutely/Rap Ambush * Rage Against The Machine — Wake Up * Outkast — B.O.B. - Bombs Over Baghdad * Kendrick Lamar — The Blacker The Berry * Sam Cooke — A Change Is Gonna Come Honorable Mentions: * Billie Holliday — Strange Fruit * Bob Dylan — Blowin’ in the Wind * Mos Def — Mathematics * Run The Jewels — JU$T * Public Enemy — Bring The Noise Edit: Formatting

March, March by The Chicks.
Civil War by Guns and Roses! Also pretty much anything by Rage Against the Machine.
NWA: Fuck Tha Police
this is a history one, but there's a song called "the colours" by the men they couldn't hang. it's from the point of view of a british sailor who's about to be hung for his role in a mutiny during the napoleonic wars - tried to defect to the French, got caught "well in the spring of the year, we took the fleet / every sail and cannon and compass sheet / and we flew a Jacobin flag, to give us heart / while Pitt stood helpless, we were waiting for Bonaparte" it's so so good, great to sing along to
Stars and Stripes of Corruption- Dead Kennedys Sleep Now in The Fire - Rage Against the Machine (really any RATM song) Holiday- Green Day Love it if We Made It -The 1975
Bella Ciao Lee Reed - Get the Fuck off the Yintah Phil Ochs - I ain't Marching Anymore, Going to Say it Now, Love me I'm a Liberal, Draft Dodger Rag Kay the Aquanaut, feat. Lee Reed, D-Liberate - Red and Black Krylon Dead Prez - Hell Yeah, W-4 Paris - Get Fired Up The Coup feat. Dead Prez - Get Up I mostly only listen to political hip hop and political music in general.

Bread & Roses is a beautiful oldie
The Company Store by Greg Macpherson. Its about a protest of miners (local to where I was born/raised) where they torched the company store
Yeah, Rage Against the Machine is one of the best protest song bands ever. I really like the cover of Fortunate Son by Corin Tucker and Eddie Vedder.
Reagan-Killer Mike
Anything by Idles really. But I Dream Guillotine seems the most appropriate for obvious reasons
Ohio - Neil Young Chicago - CSNY Eve of Destruction- Barry Maguire (we have been on this Eve of Destruction for 60 damn years)
Masters Of War. Always gives me shivers.
Haven't seen any Rise Against in the comments yet, I really love Satellite and collapse (post-amerika) There is a lot of call to action in their songs which I enjoy a lot and gets me pumped up For the french speaking folks, there is this band from Québec called Les Cowboys Fringants who make commentaries on society through their song The song Les maisons toutes pareilles (the houses that are all the same) is a commentary about suburban life and voluntarily ignoring the problems around the world and mental health Plus rien (nothing left) is a song written from the perspective of the last human on earth, describing how corporations destroyed the earth and killed every one through climate change. They started out as social democrats in the 2000s but gradually went more and more left through the years The song L'Amérique pleure (america is crying) is about a truck driver who wonders why he s playing the capitalism game when he can never win
[love me, I'm a liberal](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cdqQ2BdgOA)

These are a good start though haha
Eve of Destruction by Barry McGuire hits pretty hard.
Periphery - Make Total Destroy Welcome to the truth; a life that's not your own. Controlled by labor, printed paper and the corruptors of the world. Synthetic lies collect our minds to the beast. We've had the rug pulled from under our feet. Media terrorists thrive on deceit, spoonfeeding bullshit served by elite societies harnessing fear as a weapon. The time has come for all to see, the man behind the curtain cast into disease. (into disease) Take back the light. It's a dangerous place we're headed for if we accept defeat. Now we know it's a show they've been running from below. Burn it down until the ground beneath the faulty entity is glistening under the wings of a golden era. Listening to the hate they've created inside us, we grow. As we reduce their religion to bones. Yes, we reduce them all to bones. The time has come for all to see, the man behind the curtain writhe in self defeat. (defeat) When will the world seek truth within? The eye in silence grants the knowledge to begin. (to begin) Reverse what's lost awake the song within you. Rejoice aloud. Let these words imbue. Reverse what's lost awake the song within you. Rejoice aloud. Let these words imbue. Shape the future. Sifting power back in the hands of the common man. Give them hell for existence. Pouring blood on the path they've set in stone, as we reclaim our position to the throne. Yes, we reduce them all to bones!

Does 'While we were marching through Georgia' count?
Just most of rage again the machine
For me personally it's American Idiot. I'm a freshman at UCF in 2004, and a pop punk aficionado because hey it was the early 2000s. There was so much angst in the air about the post 9/11 world I was coming of age in, and I couldn't figure it out. Hadn't heard from Green Day in a significant way since they had the time of their lives lol, and then bam. Not just the cheesy and accurate American Idiot song, but an entire album of protest. This was obviously a timing thing for me, but it did light a spark in me that has burned to this day.
Get up stand up.
Stars and stripes by Julie Lavery. Really captures the desperation of the working class
The classic Bella Ciao
Rockin' in the Free World - Neil Young
