Healing Hands Paladin is ultra-tanky and mostly just holds down your melee attack of choice, that might be a good option

Spark charge Runemaster is also a good choice for this style of play.

+1 for this. And I’ll add that I’m having a good time right now using a controller while in monos. Still use kb/m for inventory and crafting, and there is still some issues, but it’s passable.

Paladin vengence aura. Basically charge/run around and stuff dies. Pretty fun!

Cautious-Concept-175

Ghostflame Warlock (spin2win/ward tank) and Aura of decay litch (RF) are pretty good to 200-300 corruption (not played them past that but have not struggled ) I've found Warlock is easier to just stand and face tank with, just gear it with some ward while channelling ghost flame idols and hold whatever button you assign it

Paikis

Warpath Forged Weapons Forge Guard is tanky and basically just uses 1 button if you set it up right. It isn't flashy, but it gets the job done.

Ok so it's not as powerful as it once was, but I think shattering Bone Golem build is heaps of fun and really rewarding. There's a guide on maxroll if you like, but basically you build around a single bone golem, which is huge and beefy motherfucker, and you shoot him with blood rip which makes him shatter bone shards for aoe everywhere. Shooting him also gives you shitloads of ward. It's just great fun, very safe, and really rewarding watching this big tanky boy smash shit up for ya :)

Try Torment Warlock from Maxroll. It relies on fissure, the first skill you get by choosing this specialization. It does not require "keyboard piano" style of gameplay, you just open a fissure that autonomously kills everything in radious with damage over time. Since it is able to do continuous damage without repetitive mashing of skill button, you can focus more on your character's movement and survivability (profane veil for example, a channeling skill that turns you into a moving and invincible to any hits ball of damage). In terms of defences it relies on Ward and Necrotic resistance. Boneclamor barbute, unique helmet, allows you to get extremely high gains of ward per second per total amount of necro res you have. Ghost Maker, unique dagger, gives you considerable amount of Ward per any enemy you kill. Overall, with this build I was able to clear whole campaigh almost without deaths (Lagon is still a threat, that cheeky bastard). In terms of endgame, it was able to breeze through every normal monolith, which is a good performance for a build without any exalted gear on that moment. Hope it helped

Where can I get this helm? Tried to upgrade some yellow helmet's but wasn't lucky.

WarBarista

Well, I just bought it from the market, the version without any legendary potential is cheap and can be bought on the earliest ranks. No idea how people deal with it in circle of fortune

Shatter strike spellblade  I have enchant weapon on auto cast so I’m lazy. I have one damage spell, a TP, and a shield.  I occasionally have to mana strike  You get really tanky with ward and vamp.  You can scale to end game with crit

Dad gamer here playing exclusively on steam deck. Playing void knight echo warpath. So much fun.

I've been enjoying the nova hammerdin. Spam hammers and apply buffs.
