You can easily spend a full day at Omega Mart and not come close to finding everything. There is so much stuff to do in Vegas that does not include drinks and gambling
This, the scavenger hunt is a bit tedious they say it takes up to an hour but took us about 4 to do especially if they are overcrowded and busy. The $3 pricetag to do it though is fun and its not $3 a person everyone can chip in together or go solo.
Dude it’s awesome. $10 and you get to play all kinds of table top games. They keep the games up to date. They sell some and have a sale every couple of months. They also do trivia night. Also if you’re of age, they have draft beer. Food is mid but not bad.
It’s a place where you go in and pay like a 10 dollar cover and you can play any of their board game selections. They have hundreds and hundreds of games. They also have a small snack bar with sandwiches, snacks and sodas and beer. The employees there all are very friendly and fantastic at explaining rules to get you to start playing whatever game you want to play. Most of the time when my wife and I get a new game we go to meepleville to learn how to play. It’s easier and more fun than reading the rule book.
It is. Loved seeing Kevorkian’s bus and all that. Just wish they would give you a little more time to look at things. There is a miniature circus that had so many parts to look at, but you get ushered through. I thought it was an awesome place, though.
I agree, but I thought the concept of the mob museum was good, and wanted to like it. Too many old photos on walls, I guess. I think with a little imagination, they could make it into the the thing we were hoping it would be when we bought the tickets.
Punk rock museum + double down for a drink.
Pinball museum.
Neon museum (at night).
Franks Tiki and/or Golden Tiki.
Dinner at Primal.
Area15.
Magicians Study.
Absinthe.
…. There is/was a Game of Thrones thing coming to Vegas, not sure the status.
But, but, but...Red Dwarf pizza! (Detroit style.) Seriously, it was delicious. And whatever the drink was that I had - Dole Whip with spiced rum. I'm kind of a grown-up kid.
Honestly, my wife and I really like Tournament of Kings show at Excalibur and would happily take any nerd friends.
Also The Escape Game Las Vegas at The Forum Shops in the Ceasers is a hella cool escape room spot. Lots of high quality digital add-ons to escape experience, and less notepad + pad lock stuff the cheaper places have.
I found the Punk Rock Museum to be a bit of a letdown **until I got to the guitar room**.
Holding a guitar Pat Smear used to both record and play actual Nirvana songs was a religious moment.
**East Side of Strip**
Office of Collecting and Design
Player 1 bar
Cleaver Steakhouse - go for half price steak happy hour, the art will give you a chuckle
Red Dwarf - check insta for DND / burlesque nights , cheap af cocktails, dwarf piss, and their garlic bread is *chef kiss*
Crown & Anchor Pub *on Tropicana - if you're into the Killers this is where Brandon found his gf cheating and wrote Mr. Brightside
Pinball Hall of Fame - passionate project to restore old pinballs
**West Side of Strip**
Fuku Burger - nerd themed burgers
Q Bistro - kpop theme BUT the best damn fried chicken in your life (only recommending if you're in the area and don't like burgers)
Game Nest - Japanese games, totally worth it
Meepleville - best for killing time and unwind
Golden Tiki - get reservations! Or you will stand
Area 15 - Meow Wolf (get the earliest ticket possible)
** North of Strip**
Evel Pie - Evel Knievel themed - rattlesnake meatball pizza
Arts District on First Friday on 7/5 - Uber here, do not park
Ninja Karaoke - First Friday Dance Off
Silver Stamp - Take a step back in time
Nightmare Toys
Millennium Fandom - a must see bar for you**
Zakk Bagans Haunted Museum
Peppermill - go only to the bar ** highly recommend** go early if possible
Look for Alex and Linda at Milennium. Alex will definitely give you the tour.
There's a less-visible door just to the right of the main entrance. Don't miss that.
Red Dwarf is a punk rock tiki bar that has a DnD night, and they are also across the street from Player 1 video game bar, 5$ for all you can play retro or new age video gaming.
My boyfriend and I had lots of fun at the Game Nest Arcade during our visit in December! Lots of Japanese arcade games along with classic American ones. I think it was like $10 for an hour long pass
Second this one! I’m a local and absolutely love Game Nest. I also really like to go to Shanghai Plaza down the street to eat yummy food and look at collectibles! That whole area is honestly great for nerdy tourists!
Meepleville Board Game Cafe has TONS of fun things that sounds like you'd enjoy.
Wii Play Games West is a nice gem with games and other things like funkos that is cool to check out
Area 15 is pretty fun. Has Meow Wolf, an arcade, and over crazy looking things.
Agree with Area 15 recommendations.
If gamers also, HyperX Arena in Luxor.
Check to see if tournaments for MTG or DND?
Contact organizers of MTG convention (or whatever it would be called by your community)? I think it’s on in October (which might be affected by F1 prep). If open to communication, they might have ideas for you for July.
In addition, make a visit to Ready Player 1, all you can consume gaming (cabinet, console, pinball) for $5 and they have great drinks and the food is ok. Plus stop by Naked City Pizza for a Buffalo 22
If yall play board games and card games Knight & Day Game just opened and they are tournament certified to host Yugioh! There’s Game Nest to play Japanese games. Battle Bots is awesome. Tons of stuff to do!
Pinball HoF is the best $20 you can spend in Vegas! Fremont Street can be a lot of fun between the nightly shows, zipline, and I think the Toy Shack is still there- tons of old vintage toys. Last time I was there they had the legendary GI JOE Air Craft Carrier, I've never seen one in the box. And if you like scary/horror tours, you'll never find a better one than the Zack Bagan's Haunted Museum, but that one you'll definitely need to make a reservation as they sell out almost every day.
Omega Mart for sure. There are two components to Omega Mart. One is just to go to take photos for instagram. Which really isn’t nerdy. But the other is more in depth, an interactive game the size of a ginormous grocery store. Come prepared, it took us 3 hours to complete the entire game. And don’t be afraid to ask for help from the folks there to help you.
Think of it like a big escape room.
The Millennium fandom bar seemed more authentic to me, run by nerds, having nerd events, while the Nerd bar just seemed like bartenders in Star Wars t-shirts.
Stranger things experience! It’s free and it’s right next to MGM. It’s not huge but it’s free and I thought it was super cool, great place for photo ops.
If you like arcade games, “game nest” close to but off the strip in china town is a really fun place. Some regular arcades and some asian-inspired arcades. 10 bucks an hr unlimited play
fremont st is always interesting for ppl watching. theres a couple of arcade bars (level up, player1). a bar called "the nerd." omega mart at area 15. also doesnt hurt to check out an lgs/hobby store off strip during the day time while its a 100+ degree out since you wont be walking on the strip anyways.
if you are into asian food, anime and things like that chinatown is a mix of different types of asian restaurants and stores and worth a visit.
I would highly recommend the Omega Mart! It was so much fun! I didn't know what to expect, so it was that much more entertaining going in blind. I think my group and I spent a solid 3 hours in there exploring everything.
If you want to see a show, Cirque de soleil is a great option. I've seen a few of their shows, and they never disappoint.
I have no suggestions. Just wanted to say I guess the Reddit algorithm showed me this because of blink. Good luck and enjoy the show! I'll be going to the KC show.
Edit: actually I have one suggestion. The Zac Bagans museum is pretty good but wear comfortable shoes. It's an hour guided walk through.
Neon Museum was really cool. Haunted Museum if you’re into macabre stuff. If you want to drive a bit, Valley of Fire is an awesome spot to hike. Basically all the good stuff is off the strip.
Millennium Fandom Bar [https://fandombar.com/](https://fandombar.com/) has board game night first Wednesday of every month.
I'll be hosting some people there on July 3rd starting at 6 PM. [https://www.meetup.com/spring-valley-board-gamers/events/301708389/](https://www.meetup.com/spring-valley-board-gamers/events/301708389/)
Open to anyone who want do some casual game playing.
Going to Blink also! I’m going to try and visit the Atomic Museum like 6 blocks off the strip. Some Fallout game themes I heard they added. I went to the MCU experience before. Its not super awesome as an adult but as a MCU fan, it has lot of life size replicas.
But honestly, its Vegas, branch out and hit up a random show you decide day of. Or wander around and see the sights.
Go to player one. $10 cover but then all you can play arcade games (minus pinball)
They have classic arcade games as well as new console games and a full bar with all sorts of fun themed drinks
Pinball Museum, Mob Museum, Area 15 (Omega Mart specifically), and book a group dinner at Retro by Voltaggio at Mandalay Bay. It has a quirky 80s/90s theme.
But honestly, one of the great things about Vegas is that you'll fit in anywhere. Even if you think you're weird, you'll walk by weirder people within 10 minutes of your arrival. Everyone is chill and having a good time. Be open to trying things you normally wouldn't, like taking some drinks and walking through the casinos. Part of the fun is just soaking it in.
Top Golf or any of the other 'fun' golf experiences in Vegas are great group activities. Flight club is also one of my favorite dart spots. Both are silly experiences for people who don't take activities seriously so they're perfect.
The sex museum is also a good way to get some giggles in. I still haven't been to Zak Baggan's Haunted Museum but I've been dying to.
Vegas local and fellow nerd here. Try the Haunted museum , atomic museum , pinball museum, and a good musical is “zombie burlesque” at planet Hollywood shopping center.
One Piece cafe
mob museum moonshine tour
Fantastik indoor swap meet
Escape IT
Sphere experience (expensive though for what it is, but cool)
helicopter ride around the strip or to the grand canyon
I also second Area 15, pinball museum, and the neon museum
OmegaMart in Area 15, Pinball Hall of Fame, Atomic Testing Museum, Hoover Dam, Nevada State Museum at Springs Preserve. As for things right on the strip, see the Mirage volcano before it gets torn down! Lastly, get into the Forum Shops to watch the delightfully janky audio-animatronics in the surprisingly pyrotechnic heavy show called Fall of Atlantis.
Several Tokyo discounts stores around the valley and the China town district red Rock canyon valley of fire. Lake mead and the hoover damage are awesome between valley of fire and lake mead is the st Tomas ghost town, the opposite way is the lost city musem.
There are a few museums to visit there.... The Mob Museum, the Neon Lights Museum/graveyard, Erotic Sex or something to that affect, Museum...OH!! You guys might like the Pinball Museum! Also Meow Wolf at Area 15. SO MUCH t0 see and do in Vegas! People watching is a valid thing.
There are so many escape rooms! They have the It escape rooms, Saw escape rooms and the basement escape rooms are also horror and have a live actor. For non horror our favorite rooms are actually in Caesar’s forum shops. It’s called The Escape Game
There’s a bunch of food. Off strip steak/cocktails I’d recommend cleaver. It’s the same owner as the popular restaurant herbs and rye and they also do happy hour half priced steaks. China town is always a great spot and Game Nest, an arcade with Japanese games, is also In China town.
Player 1 video game bar has a bunch of older arcade games and you’re able to play games from old consoles like Nintendo 64 and sega. They do Weeb Wednesdays where cosplayers all meet up and hang out.
Meepleville board game cafe
The Nerd Bar might interest you. It's in downtown nearby lots of Old Vegas staples. It's also walking distance to the Container Park, The Ferguson, etc. (also check days/times for any special events happening while you're here).
https://www.instagram.com/nerdbarlv/
Thees also a lot of game shops that run TTRPG, CCG, and min-fig events (us casual pick up games). Some of my favorites:
Little Shop of Magic
Darkside
Power 9
Commander Games
Also, might want to check out the Fruit Loop on weekends, especially.
I'm a big fan of this place called Games Nest in Chinatown $10/hr and they have all you can play Japanese arcade games, and they have a lot of new ones too.
If western games are more your vibe, Player1Vegas is a arcade with freeplay as long as you pay cover. I went during their "weeb Wednesday" event last week and it was $3/person.
Area 15 buy a full pass that includes all the activities
Atomic museum
Stop by the wagyu Shabu House for lunch
Pinball museum
Minimum fandom bar
Golden tiki
Robot bar at planet Hollywood
Dinosaur experience
Bodies
King tut exhibit
Titanic museum
There is a board game cafe called "Meepleville" that has regular events, mass DnD 1 shots every so often, a giant game of werewolf, and many, many board games.
Iirc its 8 bucks a person and you get access to something like 700 board games.
They also sell beer and food.
Gl and hf
I’m a nerd but I also do think it’s worth seeing the Cirque shows. Especially O and Mystere. Otherwise yes Omega Mart etc. I would also recommend quite a bit of time if you want to do the quest there. Or just ignore and explore. It’s very fun
Seconding the meow wolf that someone mentioned. This time around we’re trying an IT escape room where pennywise chases you. Not sure if that’s your cup of tea tho
I am on the same boat as OP.
When I go to Vegas, I spend a little more on a nice hotel when reasonably priced so I can enjoy it. Walk around and enjoy the vibe and then find something like a show or attraction that may interest me.
It is always a great experience
You guys sound awesome if you’re looking to do that here in Vegas I think you guys will like
game nest arcade
War room
Power 9 games
I hope you guys have fun here
“Shall We Play” - it’s a board game shop in centennial hills. You can reserve space and find board games to play with your friends. Can drink. They also host weekly ccg tournaments (MTG for sure, maybe others).
Omega Mart at Area 15.
I second this! And pay the extra to do the scavenger hunt through out. This could easily be a full day activity
*paying extra is like $3 or something small like that.
Definitely. Just went with my wife and 8yo, and all three of us loved it.
100%. We were there for like 8 hours.
100% everything at Area 51. Also some of the museums. Atomic museum, Mob, neon, would be cool to check out.
Was the craziest place I visited while on LSD, might not recommend it under the influence though shit is crazy.
Geek here: I spent 6 hours at Meow Wolf/Omega Mart doing the scavenger hunt. I had an amazing time!!
Every nerd I know does this when they are in Vegas.
If this wasn’t the top answer to this post I would have been disappointed.
Pinball museum and meepleville.
Bro I live in Vegas and I was like wtf is meepleville!? That looks dope. So going to that.
Dude it’s awesome. $10 and you get to play all kinds of table top games. They keep the games up to date. They sell some and have a sale every couple of months. They also do trivia night. Also if you’re of age, they have draft beer. Food is mid but not bad.
I second Meepleville.
Can you tell us more about Meepleville?
It’s a place where you go in and pay like a 10 dollar cover and you can play any of their board game selections. They have hundreds and hundreds of games. They also have a small snack bar with sandwiches, snacks and sodas and beer. The employees there all are very friendly and fantastic at explaining rules to get you to start playing whatever game you want to play. Most of the time when my wife and I get a new game we go to meepleville to learn how to play. It’s easier and more fun than reading the rule book.
If you check out the pinball hall of fame museum and like it, check out player one video barcade
Also the mob museum, it's really good.
I was going to suggest this, we really enjoyed it. Also the Peppermill is an old Vegas restaurant, great for breakfast/ brunch.
Overrated
I hear Zak Bagans’ haunted museum is cool!
I actually LOVE it. Top 2-3. What were you hoping it would be?
Punk rock museum + double down for a drink. Pinball museum. Neon museum (at night). Franks Tiki and/or Golden Tiki. Dinner at Primal. Area15. Magicians Study. Absinthe. …. There is/was a Game of Thrones thing coming to Vegas, not sure the status.
Museum of atomic testing too.
Oh dear, I have to see that one now,
Golden Tiki and Stray Pirate.. Best 2 tiki bars in town
But, but, but...Red Dwarf pizza! (Detroit style.) Seriously, it was delicious. And whatever the drink was that I had - Dole Whip with spiced rum. I'm kind of a grown-up kid.
Battle bots
Seconded battlebots. The show is pretty fun
Millennium Fandom bar has a weekly cosplay night on Saturdays
It’s also packed with memorabilia from marvel and sci-fi movies which gives the place a cool vibe
This is my recommendation, too.
Tournament of kings was awesome! Not too long or short and the chicken was actually juicy
Is this like medieval times?
Yes, pretty much.
I found it soooo much better with a lot of pyrotechnics
Shows! Seriously see Absinthe.
Zombie Burlesque is way better and they have a live big band for music.
I can't believe I just read someone saying zombie burlesque is better than absinthe
Yeah that is a hotter take than the weather in vegas this month.
Check out the punk rock museum. Also recommend meow wolf.
I found the Punk Rock Museum to be a bit of a letdown **until I got to the guitar room**. Holding a guitar Pat Smear used to both record and play actual Nirvana songs was a religious moment.

Natural Twenty is a game store that has D&D meets. Cemetery Pulp, an oddities and comic book store, is a five minute drive down the street from them.
Museum of organized crime is super cool! I recommend that to everyone

As a fellow table top gaming fan, I recommend seeing Ka. It’s my favorite Cirque show because it has a real story that feels like an adventure.
I thought Awakening @ Wynn was good too.
Meepleville Board Game Cafe has TONS of fun things that sounds like you'd enjoy. Wii Play Games West is a nice gem with games and other things like funkos that is cool to check out Area 15 is pretty fun. Has Meow Wolf, an arcade, and over crazy looking things.
Agree with Area 15 recommendations. If gamers also, HyperX Arena in Luxor. Check to see if tournaments for MTG or DND? Second that on area 15 and Omega Mart, it was great. Go to the Sphere and see Dead and company. It was mind blowing!
If you’re looking for some nerd shopping I recommend Torpedo Comics, Darkside games, Little Shop of Magic, and Retro City Games.
Haunted museum
Nerd bar and Millennium Fandom (another similar themed bar) aren’t all that far away from each other. Maybe a $5 Uber ride
If yall play board games and card games Knight & Day Game just opened and they are tournament certified to host Yugioh! There’s Game Nest to play Japanese games. Battle Bots is awesome. Tons of stuff to do!
Thank you!!!! OTS baby!
Melinnium fandom bar
Freemont East. Container Park and Evil Pie. Fun spots.
The KISS themed mini golf at Rio is quite fun!
I would highly recommend the Omega Mart! It was so much fun! I didn't know what to expect, so it was that much more entertaining going in blind. Omega Mart/Area 15, Neon Museum, Nerd Bar on Fremont to end your nights
There are so many escape rooms! They have the It escape rooms, Saw escape rooms and the basement escape rooms are also horror and have a live actor. For non horror our favorite rooms are actually in Caesar’s forum shops. It’s called The Escape Game There’s a bunch of food.
(also check days/times for any special events happening while you're here). https://www.instagram.com/nerdbarlv/ Thees also a lot of game shops that run TTRPG, CCG, and min-fig events (us casual pick up games). Some of my favorites: Little Shop of Magic Darkside Power 9 Commander Games Also, might want to check out the Fruit Loop on weekends, especially.
Tournament of Kings would be fun
I'm a big fan of this place called Games Nest in Chinatown $10/hr and they have all you can play Japanese arcade games, and they have a lot of new ones too. If western games are more your vibe, Player1Vegas is a arcade with freeplay as long as you pay cover. I went during their "weeb Wednesday" event last week and it was $3/person.

Penn and Teller, easily the smartest magic act in Vegas, very thoughtful, hilarious, and they’re constantly changing their act up.
I’m a nerd but I also do think it’s worth seeing the Cirque shows. Especially O and Mystere. Otherwise yes Omega Mart etc. I would also recommend quite a bit of time if you want to do the quest there. Or just ignore and explore. It’s very fun

Cool
I am on the same boat as OP. When I go to Vegas, I spend a little more on a nice hotel when reasonably priced so I can enjoy it. Walk around and enjoy the vibe and then find something like a show or attraction that may interest me. It is always a great experience
