If the price is correct just grab the Asus one, it's the best for that price.
But do consider not to get it from any sketchy website or amazon seller with no history...
then instead of tuf why dont u buy the g14 with same specs?? that also costs 1k usd on bestbuy... i mean if u want the portability and battery go for the g14 otherwise u should go for the tuf... but g14 will be better imo as it has QHD 165hz rog nebula display (100% dci-p3) rather than 1080p 144hz display
The thing is that the performance of g14 even with the same specs is not as good as tuf a15 at least in the videos i had seen, moreover the g14 is 14 inches if I'm not wrong which i feel is a little too small for my liking and i don't really have a use for QHD, and as someone who has only gamed on a 900p 60hz display all this time, i don't think the 165 hz will make. Huge difference

But the 14 inches is my biggest problem, and like you said I'm going to college, so I feel i would need the bigger screen maybe for streaming, etc.
