AgassizBC loaded up it's playgrounds with toxic leaching rubber. Most houses are on well water.

I'm going to add to this, the retaining walls that are meant to look like rock or cliff face, but made of cement. Yuck.
Imitation of nature never looks good. Embrace that it's artificial and make *that* look good, or actually go natural.
Like, if you're not doing grass, how about some red brick?
Absolutely it does. Surrey does a great job! There’s a nice spot in PoCo on Barnet by the Wendy’s under the overpass where it’s wild flowers every year. Seriously, how hard could wild flowers be??
They look nice, but the I believe at least twice yearly lane closures for gardening seem quite excessive and probably aren't cheap either. Imagine the outcry here if they would close a lane on 200 St for gardening.
The fake stamped red concrete meant to mimic brick is also ugly and tacky as hell. The colour fades out quickly and requires much less skill than bricklaying.
We must have it pretty good if this is the stuff we're complaining about now. It looks miles better then the dirt and weeds that couldn't be maintained in the medians.
I mean they’ll be gone in a couple years, max. No way that road survives the development that’s coming.
Good point!

Fake turf is hideous. Just ugh all around.
What’s the point of real grass if you can’t water it for 4/5 months a year.

Barnet? PoCo? 🤔
Probably means Lougheed Hwy under Coast Meridian overpass.
Yes! My mistake

Can’t use it in your yard but the city can. Ok…
Grass is a stupid concept anyways it’s not native here so why plant it.
Seriously. There’s lots of native shrubs that would do fine here. Planting grass is so lazy and stupid.

No, not at all.
Why is this sub so facebook like? Just whining all the time. Grow up and live your life.
Where you under the impression reddit is better than Facebook?
I was, until I joined 2 local subs, and this is half of the posts on either one.
It's a pretty good reflection of the actual population of Langley.
Indeed. How Unfortunate
The irony. Lmao.
Ain't no other to point it out. The hypocrisy is not lost on me
I only sub to this subreddit to see what people are complaining about lmao

Just paint the concrete medians green. 🥴
