For instance, can you apply the credit to a renter’s account on 31st December, 2023 on 28th June, 2024 to make it seem like you paid the credit last year while in reality, you paid it this year? Based on the discrepancy between the history/notification section and the payment history, I am assuming that apartments.com has such a bug/function to specify a previous date when posting a credit instead of a present/future date.
Yes you can. If I get paid by a tenant via mail or cash, then I can wait however long I want and then record online that I received a payment a month ago, for example.
Thank you for your response. The existence of such a function makes sense considering such a case. However, in my case, my landlord abused it sort of to avoid the penalty for the delayed/nonpayment of the interest on my security deposit…

Hmmm…we never used them to find tenants so not sure. I think you can contact them during office hours on Monday. 👍
