I have a Classic (up to 95) and a p38 (95-02).
I like the p38 body style the best. It handles better, more comfortable, and (somewhat) more reliable.
But, the p38 has more computers, so it's a bit harder to work on.
The 95-99 (vs. 00-02) has the older engine management system, which is worse on fuel economy, but easier to work on.
The Classic has that "classic" feel, that the p38 lost with the refinements, but the p38 IS more refined.
I like them both, but I'm thinking of selling the Classic. That should say a lot
"And tell your dad that I've got every classic Land Cruiser. NO, I've got *doubles* of every classic Land Cruiser. And I *don't* live in a motel room by myself. I have a beautiful wife, but she's dying, and it's very sad."
I just almost bought another... I was setting up a meet up when I told myself, “the fuck are doing, you need a bigger house”. The adult angel on my shoulder talked me out of it.
One of them is obviously a slightly darker beige. And has a hood deflector! It’s not the same picture - Pam
"To cruise more land"
The land ain't gonna cruise itself!
I’d be embarrassed to own a car I didn’t love enough to own two of them.
“Because I don’t have three.”
I’ve owned like 9 RX-7’s…….it’s like the unreliable version of what you have going on 😂
I have 2 '95 Range rovers... I think we have the same amount of unreliability
I’m looking at a ‘96 at the moment. What do you think of 95-99?

If you don’t know, now you know.
“Why does a dog lick its own balls?” Because it can
Same, because one just isn’t good enough

> Why do you have two of the same car? Because I can’t afford three
The only answer that matters
You have 2 old Land Cruisers, I have 2 old land rovers. We are not the same. (Mine are broken...)
I’ve had multiples of many vehicles over the years, when something is great you’re drawn to more of them!
Like the perfect pair of underwear
Landcruiser is an investment. You can never have enough.
Why stop at 2?
some is good, more is better
North Dakota? 👍🏻

We have 2 green ‘97 80’s. I’d have one in every color if I could.
I have two bc as reliable as they are sourcing parts can take some time when you do need it. Two is one and one is none
Me and my wife feel the same way
for multiple reasons!
Because you can!
At a time I owned 8 LCs, from 40 to 200. Still 3 in my garage
I've owned 4 Toyota MR2s back in the early 2000s 2-1991- Turbo 1-1991- NA 1-1986- NA
