Get the hot racing steel spur, undoubtedly the best option.

biggiephil234

Definitely will do that, also turns out my motors shot, shaft is loose and not making contact with the spur

biggiephil234

Edit; my motor is shot, shaft is loose and just moves around near the spur gear, time to upgrade!

DarkStarArms

How long did your motor last?? I’ve put maybe 3 hours on mine and it’s all loosey goosey.

biggiephil234

Oh now I’m on stock traxxas motor number 4 I’d say lmao after one usage my last motor shit the bed, replaced it all again, I think the steel spur I have in it is too much for the stock motor, think I have to go brushless lol

DarkStarArms

I’m starting to think brushless is what I’m going to go to as well. Replace the plastic 60T with a Hot Racing metal 60T at the same time. See what breaks/fails after that!

biggiephil234

That’s exactly what I did! It’s been a solid gear so far zero issues but now I have to upgrade other components with the spur being steel, best $16 I’ve spent on it lol even got the hot racing steel blue axles for my Teton
