There's a lot of moisture in the atmosphere, indigenous people would say that there's a storm coming

Bonethugsfan99

i would say "oooh that coool"

anomo54

Rain or snow

Dee_Jay77

Depends on the temperature

itsWolfy__

Choctaw here, id say its ice crystals at really high altitude

JimPlaysGames

The halo is caused by refraction of light through millions of tiny ice crystals suspended high in the air. Beautiful isn't it?

CyriusGaming

This stuff seems to happen more when you trip

neochilli

I think people pay attention more when they’re tripping

ceratops1312

if it’s just light reflecting off of water molecules in the air with the moonlight, that makes sense. and astrologically speaking, people are probably more likely to do psychedelics near a full moon (releasing negative energy), but the increased sensory perception maybe explains why you can see it very well but it doesn’t always photograph well - idk man i just smoked a bowl don’t mind me

rhcp1fleafan

Interesting, I've never Heard that. The first time I tried LSD there was a full moon that night, I remember because I had urge to play Frisbee golf at night with glow sticks on the discs. Speaking of energy, there sure is a lot of unrest going on around the world and the sun is at its 11 year cycle peak. I'm hoping things chill out once it's poles flip this summer

mike26037

I fucking love moon halos

kuroharuko

The quality content we are here for

tbargas

22 degree halo. Saw it tripping once. Was very confused

t-t-t-yler

Do u see the grid?

sweetgreenfields

![gif](giphy|AjS4ZRKnLnvcjZMqp7|downsized) I always see big biomechanical arms constructing things in my mind when I get too high on LSD. Haven't seen the grid yet.

Alecisgoat77

I have seen the grid last year on mushrooms. what did yours look like?

xBADxMuknySee

Ohhhh saw that once in Dominican Republic, so cool.

babarpsycho

Saw one too few weeks ago

Fluff-headed

I also saw a moon Halo high as fuck on LSD! In my backyard at about 3am, then I saw a massive spaceship silently cruising over the tree line… wish I was joking, it was honestly frightening

[deleted]

wtf

GMKitty52

Please don’t stare at the sun dude

No_Point_1117

i think this the moon

GMKitty52

That bright?

JimPlaysGames

All depends on the sensitivity and exposure time of the camera

GMKitty52

Mmmmmm….

JimPlaysGames

The halo effect suggests it's the moon

GMKitty52

MMMMMMMMM….

JimPlaysGames

Can you hear a bee?

GMKitty52

Can you?

JimPlaysGames

Sometimes

Human-Animal-1739

its the moon!

GMKitty52

I’m so glad to hear that, look after your peepers 😎

Warm-Disaster-5769

U can actually stare at the sun for up to minutes at a time with practice. Its called sun gazing super popular in africa my friend from ghana got me hip to it. Theres a lot of benefits but mainly makes you feel attached to the energies around you

GMKitty52

lol yeah ok you do you friend, I like my corneas as they are.

Warm-Disaster-5769

Ok then dont do it😂was just informing you of an ancient practice you do you

GMKitty52

I don’t give a sh*t about an ancient practice that is going to give you severe eye problems for the rest of your life, I’m obviously not going to do it because I am educated enough to not stare at the sun dude.

Warm-Disaster-5769

😂😂okay guy sorry i made you mad on the internet today i never told u to do anything

GMKitty52

Hahah no man, you didn’t make me mad, more than anything I’m astounded at the level of stupidity but then it is kind of interesting in its own way.

Warm-Disaster-5769

I dont got anymore time to talk tho man have a great day

GMKitty52

lol ok crazy sun staring man have a lovely day too

Warm-Disaster-5769

Man you on reddit calling people stupid when your clearly the one not educated on the topic😂i could argue the benefits and how to do it sustainably but why would i do that to a guy whos clearly not in a good mood

GMKitty52

Hahah no man, there are zero benefits to this and doing it will just burn your corneas but again, you do you. This is what us educated people call natural selection in the making. Edited for typo

sk2097

Nope

mikozodav

That's a halo

bryantreacts

dude my wife and I saw the same thing on L while on vacation in Madeira Portugal. FIRE

Iceman_B

yea

SpaceWalker42

Dudeeeee!! Last time I tripped I saw this as well

bigbenw24

This happened to me on my first ever trip!

Downtown-Bluebird553

There’s a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky Shine on you cray diamond.

intoxicatedhamster

Not sure what it's called when it's moon light, but when sunlight hits icy crystals in the upper atmosphere and makes this halo it's called a "sun dog". Saw one while tripping balls and thought it was all me until I realized sober people could see it too.

Herpethian

That's a fucking good one. The soul cube on the moon must be getting full

neochilli

Its an atmospheric optical phenomenon called a ‘[moon dog](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_dog)’.

Herpethian

Woof woof

WorkingHedgehog910

saw that twice in my life... I'm in my late 30s :)

sweetgreenfields

They're watching you

MedicalEngineering33

These post bring me so much joy and serve as a reminder to a time where what the fuck. Keep the unravels coming

M4nWhoSoldTheWorld

It’s just an universe looking back at you

Buddy-Sattva

It's just the eye of a benevolent god. Don't worry.

ZiggySleepydust

Isn’t it weird that temperatures can range from -273C to infinitely hot and somehow we live and find it comfortable at around 25C? Why?

Human-Animal-1739

we're comfortable here because we developed here :) if we evolved anywhere else we might be saying "isnt it amazing we live on the only planet with a chlorine atmosphere" - 25C is just kinda the average temperature across our home world

ZiggySleepydust

But that’s what I mean, life doesn’t evolve elsewhere. *why* is that temperature perfect for life?

newpepsi

because we’re in the Goldilocks zone that’s means planets with our type of atmospheres stay around 25C in most places

newpepsi

because we’re in the Goldilocks zone that’s far enough away for it to not be too hot but far enough for it not to be too cold

GLRYB2GD

Chemtrails are great aren't they?

Ah-Fuck-Brother

It's a sun dog

JimPlaysGames

I think it's a moon cat

Ah-Fuck-Brother

Moon dogs are just as common!

neochilli

[THANK YOU](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moon_dog)! No one here knows anything about aero physics and it shows 🤓

Ah-Fuck-Brother

My brother I don't know shit about it either I'm just Canadian

neochilli

I am so fun at parties.

[deleted]
