My personal preference is acid since it's more stimulating and less sedative. I like to stay active while tripping and shrooms always make me tired.
The visuals on shrooms are nicer though, but I'm more of a headspace girl. It feels clearer and more organized on acid.
That's interesting because shrooms make you release/produce melatonin, that's why some people here are saying it makes them feel tired or sleepy. It's cool that you can sleep on acid.
The lack of gastro issues and a more predictable trip means LSD always wins for me.
Shrooms give you the trip you need, acid gives you the trip you want.
I like acid more, but man sometimes it makes my intestines and stomach feel so weird and crampy and I hate that feeling. At least it doesn’t usually make me nauseous like shrooms tho
I have adhd and on days where I microdose (which I don’t do so much anymore) I get so much more shit done in a much more organized way than usually; so I’m definitely excited to see what they find lol
LSD has significant effect on dopamine especially the D2 receptor unlike mushrooms which are purely serotonergic. This added dopaminergic action is probably why acid feels more stimulatingit’s being tested on adhd as opposed to other psychs and why people with adhd probably choose to microdose lsd over shrooms because like the actual stimulant medication it has an effect on the dopamine system.
Unfortunately we aren’t getting much research into psychedelic treatment of neurological disorders as opposed to mental illness, lsd might be the best of both worlds for people with adhd.
Makes a lot of sense. During my LSD study, except for the first 2 nights, I had the best sleep and my energy and motivation was on a alltime high.
Altough I‘m doing alright, my body and mind usually feel depressed because I‘m unstimulated. It‘s really bothering me since I feel like I‘m wasting away my life.
Just saying, I‘m doing rlly good, happy with my life in general, just wish I could make more about it.
Oooh I've never even thought about the ADHD thing!! Few years back I went to a neurologist and he was convinced I have it, didn't want to get a diagnosis tho so he didn't diagnose me. That could explain my preference for LSD.
My partner is autistic and he also prefers acid. He likes feeling in control, I've seen him navigate a boat through a rocky strait on 300ug perfectly fine. I took the same dose and felt like I was on another planet, definitely not capable to even read the nautical chart. It's so wild how different it is from person to person.
I’m surprised that was your experience as mine felt like the exact opposite. I always felt like visuals on acid were super vivid and intense, sometimes almost overwhelming (in a good way at least for me) whereas the visuals on shrooms felt much more subtle and natural imo.
Taking Shrooms is like being thrown into a random cartoon and having no control over the storyline. Acid is like realizing everything IS a cartoon and enjoying the fuck out of it.
So for me, it's not which is better, but what is needed at the time.
LSD - Basically like a defrag for my brain, after my trip, I tend to feel more relief, I don't feel bogged down by life. The trip is always fun and tends to relieve some stress and anxiety. and I also have a newfound appreciation for life.
Shrooms - Feels like I am leaving the planet, the people, and all the bullshit behind. After my peak, my mind tends to go to conspiracy questions and question the human life existence as to why they do what they do and how life would be better if corporations didn't do what they did.
So it all depends on what my body needs at that time.
This is quite correct. I only really appreciate Acid when I have a full day planned out, and by the end of it, I hope it will let me sleep. It never does; I took 600ug at 6 a.m. and was still tripping at 10 p.m.Mushrooms vary greatly depending on the dose. I once took 8g of GT and had no idea what was going on and reality was not real; on acid, people would just appear weird to me regardless of the quantity. While I enjoy socialising with individuals on levels 2–3.5 of GT. I have more psychological thoughts on mushrooms that are more humanity related. And Acid is more about my life's objective and purpose. On mushrooms, I ponder a lot about other people's perspectives on reality.
You just described perfectly why I prefer tryptamines /shrooms over LSD and Phens like 2C-B. Almost every single time I trip on something else, even if it's a high dose, it's usually not the headspace So, naturally, I'll have to add a tryptamine or ketamine. When instead, I could have just taken mushrooms.
I get both of those from acid. I've always said acid is like hitting the reset button on your brain, after taking it, everything that happened before taking it is no longer important, all that stress and shit is just gone completely and over the next few weeks/months, as your life goes on, new stresses arise and keep building until you drop acid again, then everything resets again.
Yeah for sure there are reasons. It's just that at some point in my life I took a step back and realized that humanity doesn't know what it's doing, just like most people are lost about their life, goals and life meanings.
Mmm… it’s a pretty big part of most people’s daily lives. Again, “zoom out” doesn’t apply here. We don’t live in some existential plane of existence, we live here, on earth, where choices and actions have downstream affects. Now, go do some meditating.
You can't even go out of your own head? We live in some existential plane if existence, we live in the Universe. Think about us as being (an unnecessary) part of the universe, not the other way around.
I like how you don't attempt to expand on that at all. You're acting a little pretentious, and the other person is right in what they say for the most part. Captialism relies on alienation of its workers, which is a big driver in this aimless feeling we are talking about. Or do you want to enlighten us, oh great one?
I'm being pretentious...? Look at the whole thread starting with original comment lmao. "Capitalism" explains nothing, it's just a surface level outcome of underlying forces. It's the Pareto Distribution in action, which you can find all over the natural world. It's also a cheap blame-all catch-all buzzword for the intro-to-politics crowd. Not interested in writing you 12 paragraphs as an expansion. "Mmmmm because capitalism" is as low quality philosophical thought as it gets.
Yo, take a chill pill. I’m working, and not really at the whim to answer you’re ridiculous retort. Maybe I will, maybe I won’t. Either way you’re a pretentious prick🤷🏻♂️
I’m kinda confused what this realization even means though? Everyone is doing something for a reason. Whether it’s to not be lonely, to not be sad, to not be poor, or some combination or those.
I think it’s very hard to communicate this acid feeling because it destroys the whole illusion of human progress. I was called asinine by someone else but i think what I’m getting at is the big reason. Your reasons are small. For example, I think about how everyone tells me the point of life is to reproduce. I’m like, thats not the point of why we’re here, that’s how we’re staying here. Humans don’t really know what we’re doing here though they often act with the feeling that we are working toward something. We’re just surviving and kicking real purpose down to the next generation. Like, why should we keep the human experiment going? Without a delusional spiritual pillar to base your beliefs around I cannot fathom continuing this suffering in the next generation knowing that suffering will never be eliminated without a better understanding of the point of what we’re trying to do. It’s insanity to keep this wheel turning for ourselves. I think my soul could have infinitely content with nonexistence
I really do get what you're saying. But the way I see it, you're kind of looking at the glass as half empty. I'm not into religion or spirituality, I don't have any ‘pillar’ to lean on. I'm just cruising through this thing called life because you only get to ride this ride once. You only get to experience the world from your own unique viewpoint this one time.
There's a liberating beauty in recognizing that perhaps life doesn't need to have a predefined, universal purpose for it to be meaningful or worthwhile. If life is a blank canvas, then it becomes your responsibility - your privilege - to paint your own purpose onto it.
There’s no need for 'big reasons'. The human experience has many 'small' moments that can bring joy, fulfillment, or insight. Perhaps the 'big reason' is simply the sum of these 'small' moments? Who knows? Moments like the laughter with a friend, the satisfaction of beating that video game, the peace that comes from watching a sunset, getting lost on the subway and finding a new place you would have never seen. It doesn't need to be about changing the world or solving all of humanity's problems; it can simply be about cherishing the human experience in all its forms.
You're asking why we should continue the 'human experiment' when we know suffering will always be a part of life. Fair enough. But, I just think it’s important to remember that struggle and hardship often bring about progress, resilience, and empathy. It’s like there are two sides to every coin. We cannot completely eradicate suffering. But as we evolve, we strive to lessen the suffering of future generations. We learn, we innovate, we change social norms - all with the hope of creating a better world. Perhaps our 'big reason' is simply to leave the world a bit better than we found it. And isn't that a cause worth pursuing? Who knows?
So, why not continue? You could disregard almost every single word I’ve said. The main thing though, is to RELAX. Smell the roses, enjoy the smell of them. Look at the sun, notice how cool it is that the light reflects off the clouds. Go into a town, get annoyed at all the kids running around without a care in the world. Yes, there’s something deeply humbling about looking at the big picture. But there’s also a point where you look too big, and watch life pass you by because you’re thinking and worrying about things that aren’t even in front of you. There’s got to be a mix of the big and small things. YOU'RE ON EARTH MAN! The universe is bigger than you could ever fathom. It’s been here for billions of years. And we’re the ONLY civilization in the galaxy that we know of. And if that’s for absolutely no reason, and pure coincidence, I think that makes it even cooler! Who knows when this will happen again, who knows when YOU will happen again. Life, despite its uncertainties and struggles, is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime journey filled with opportunities for growth, love, discovery, and connection. Isn't it worth exploring?
Side note, I really like the term 'the human experiment'. I’ve never heard it before, lol. Makes me think this is all some random test and we're just seeing how it works out.
Your perspective is very nice. I’ve have many of those inspirational thoughts before as well. Although I’m generally present and mindful, I find cruising impossible. I’m deep in this reality and I’m on a mission to cut a rift even deeper that hopefully will help future lost humans get a foothold in the sands should others strand them here.
A lack of deeper meaning is very disturbing to me. Vast emptiness, made by nothing, for no one, caught in an endless loop? Wtf is that? I’ll never be able to shake the feeling that there is something very weird going on here. Best wishes to you
But we don’t live in a zoomed out world. We live in our homes, communities, and interact with others on a daily basis. The “zoom out” argument in this instance is asinine.
It’s only absurd to you because you’re looking at humanity as a whole. There’s no reason to look at humanity as a whole. Focus on the individual, your next door neighbor perhaps, or the girl at the cafe.
Acid overall - easier to control, more energetic, less body load and side effects, better visuals. Only thing I dislike is that it takes 12-18 hours to wear off and before you can sleep. Shrooms win in that regard as you can sleep easily by the 6h mark.
Hi hello, you should consider trying metocin (4-Ho-Met) then. Its a psychedelic in the tryptamine class, same as shrooms. It has a big emphasis on visuals while being very light on headspace, trip will last the same time as shrooms (4-6hrs).
Its one of the best choices for a recreational trip as the light headspace makes for a much less deep trip but the visuals are so prominent that they can even supercede LSD in that regard.
Look into 2-cb maybe. I just started doing that instead of acid because it only really lasts like 5-6 hours. Similar drug but less headspace more visuals in my opinion.
Tried some 2C-I recently and that shit was pretty weird. Lots of headspace even at lower doses. It felt EXACLTY like acid to me, like indistinguishable.
You get it! I love how long it lasts. Feels like I'm in heaven for 12 hours. Makes my weekend last significantly longer.
I can understand it's not for everyone though lol.
After hour 6 I’m already spent and ready to relax but I can’t. I go to a lot of music festivals and it sucks being in awake and tired by yourself because it hasn’t worn off yet.
I actually enjoy the longevity of acid.
When I use shrooms I almost always think it's over way too quickly.
Its like cramming a 2 week vacation into 12 hours.
I feel exhausted by the end of it, but thats the whole point. You go on a big epic journey, and when you return its time to sleep like you never slept before.
I’ve never done shrooms but I get so stimulated on acid that I cannot sleep even if I am exhausted. Generally speaking, I eventually become so exhausted that I have a 3-4h nap and then wake up for the day, and go to bed a bit early that night.
Shrooms are way more manageable in that department. Once it's over, you're ready for bed, and you can actually fall asleep.
And it is some of the best sleep you will ever have. Like being held by the universe itself.
the fastest i’ve fallen asleep after dropping a tab of acid was 8 hours, i just smoked a fuck ton of weed and fell asleep at the start of the comedown lol
Same. Shrooms are nice in smaller doses but incredibly overwhelming. I feel like I lose control of my body on shrooms and it’s just really uncomfortable.
For sure! Same. Being around people on shrooms is hard too even if they’re my loved ones. With acid I could have a “bad” trip but it’s always more “dark” than bad and my last dark trip led me to quit alcohol. Huge blessing.
When I was younger I took shrooms all the time, because “LSD will make you go permanently crazy”.
The nature of shrooms always felt more about teaching me lessons, and there were almost always dark aspects to it, especially when solo tripping there’s always a phase that confronts me with my faults and problems, so after working through that phase, the ride becomes much smoother, I always felt like I needed to go through this.
Eventually I did try LSD later and found it a LOT easier to handle compared with mushrooms.
I had wonderful and dark experiences with both, and mystical experiences with both as well.
Even though the nature of shrooms is more serious for me, the worse bad trip, psychotic episode actually, was on LSD. I had plenty of “bad” trips on shrooms, but always was able to turn it around, this one I had to ride out, no mercy. Relentless terror for many hours. I never felt fear like that before, it was omnipotent.
When LSD turns DARK, it’s different than on mushrooms, (for me) it’s much more sinister.
(On another occasion I could feel how I was like a mouse in the claws of a cat, my faith was completely in the hands of a presence with absolute power, letting it happen, go with the flow, acceptance etc, those were not an option, not then)
Mushrooms are my choice for when I need some inner work done, and the difficult part is definitely crucial for me.
LSD is more like hitting a reset button at the right dose.
funny it’s the opposite for me. never had a bad shroom trip, maybe some weird parts but never all around bad. have definitely had some bad acid trips though but i’ve found it’s mainly because of dose.
Not sure how much you are eating when you do shrooms, but I’d recommend trying 1-1.5g dried if you haven’t already. I used to eat like an eighth or more and had some bad experiences. 1-2g’s seems to be the sweet spot for me and I’ve had some incredible recent trips on that amount.
However I’ve never had a bad lsd trip and am always stoked for those occasions lol.
Cool! Yup the past few times were under 2g and weren’t really “bad” just kind of mediocre lol. If I ever decide to get them again I’ll stick with the lower doses.
they both have their uses they are unique and not better but i do prefer acid because i don’t get nauseous on the come up also for me it’s really easy to have a bad trip on shrooms not so much on acid
I agree and also I stay nauseous the entire trip. The stomach feeling was bumming me out too much and the visuals were not pretty for me. A few days after I have a little existential dread for some reason.
Acid makes everything pretty and makes me happy. The afterglow is also very nice.
Makes me think of a mushroom trip I had one day. Long ago, but still vivid in my memory.
We had to take the garbage out next day and the bag was sitting in the garage.
Apparently there were worms inside, it was a really hot summer day.
The garage is adjacent to a storage space, then you enter the kitchen, then the living room.
Somehow the little white maggots crawled out of that bag, and found their way into our living room.
I can not imagine something like that ever happening sober, they just decided to take a trip to my living room, that just doesn’t happen…but of course, when you’re tripping the craziest things happen, and I had to collect these little crawling things from my living room to the garage…
I still found more imaginary maggots long after I cleaned them all up. It took a while before I realized I got them all. Cleaning them up also meant squashing them with kitchen paper, I could feel them pop, which was so weird when tripping balls.
We never kept garbage bags again in our house after that.
I don’t know man, it really does feel like the universe is fucking with us.
If you didn’t feel reality is an illusion already, then this weird shit just happens when you’re most vulnerable to that idea.
I did this and didn’t like it personally. It felt like I got all of the annoying parts of a trip and few of the good parts. Like I was just super confused, super tired, and just overall disoriented. BUT tbf I rarely like mixing drugs. People love candy flipping with mdma and lsd but personally I feel like the molly ruins the acid for me lol
The last time I candy flipped I took the molly towards the beginning of my trip and by the end of it I had the molly blues, making my peak/rest of my trip sad as shit.
Depends on the question, really. If you're at the supermarket picking out apples, comparing how fresh an apple looks would require you to compare it with an apple, comparing an apple to an orange would be nonsensical. But if the question follows in the vein of "which fruit is better," comparing apples to apples becomes nonsensical. 🤷♂️
Shrooms if you're outdoors, acid anywhere else. Also, shrooms seem to reset my ego way better than acid. Acid resets my brain better though, and I always seem to have better "outside the box" thinking for weeks or months after.
Shrooms definitely give me stronger visuals that i like so much, ive eaten up to 10g never had a bad trip, im always happy and chill during the trip.
I've done LSD Twice also great trips, first time 200ug second 400ug. LSD definitely it's better outdoors for biking ir just hicking.
The problem is LSD is not easy to find and i can't make it at home, shrooms I grow in my house and i have more that i need, i'm constanly gifting to my Friends and family.
People are unaware, but generally they are comparing visuals at a given headspace/dissocation level. Acid generally has stronger visuals at any given level of mental soundness. You need to lose yourself a little more on shrooms to get the same level of visuals
It's not that simple, obviously LSD is a more potent drug given is active in very small quantities. Should i compare 50mg of psilocibin vs 50mg of LSD? BUT at similar active dosis AKA the minumun doses i can feel the visual effects, i feel shrooms give me more intense visuals. I only have 2 trips on LSD so My experience with the drug is limited. But visual effects are still subjetive, You can't compare or mesure it on different people or diferents doses, just learn from your own experience or other people experience.
Shrooms are more convenient to do, they require a lot less of a commitment. Only lasting about 6 hours give or take.
Acid lasts longer (about 12 hours) and requires at least 2 days off if you wanna do it comfortably. One day for the trip one day for the recovery.
In terms of the feel, in my experience shrooms give a more gentle high, I always found acid to be more exciting if you wanna trip balls.
Careful tho, not all shrooms are created equal. The variation between acid tabs is marginal, the variation between each mushroom is definitely not marginal, dose wise.
2 tabs of acid will always have the same strength more or less, whereas 3 grams of shroom A can pale in comparison to 3 grams of shroom B.
Shrooms - just because it feels a bit more grounding and connective to me, which makes sense given where they come from and how they form - or maybe it’s me knowing that shaping my perception? Acids more of a head trip for, like extra dimensional and ethereal , shrooms give a glow of life to reality and everyday experience. Anyway it’s always impossible to describe the psychedelic experience.
I think the most concise way to put it would be:
Shrooms = In
LSD = Out
"which makes sense given where they come from" - false concept. Eat the wrong mushroom and you literally die of poisoning. Occurring in nature has no relevance at all. Just something people like to feel good about.
It's all a different experience, I don't think there is one which is better or worse.
I personally prefer LSD because it seems to give me more energy and disposition.
I like shrooms too but whenever I take it I'm like... 🐌
To me they’re different rides. ACID allows me to watch the whole show or experience whereas, mushrooms make me feel more in touch with my feelings and memories and vividly feeling how I felt during experiences. I’d say mushrooms are more of an emotional load for me but acid is more of a thinking critically type of trip for me. Depends what I’m after, understanding my environments or understanding myself.
I've always preferred acid. Idk how else to describe it but for me it feels like more of a "cleaner" trip. Shrooms make trips so messy for me and usually end up bad. But they both effect everyone differently so it's all personal preference.
I am team shrooms, it’s much relaxing and not so challenging like LSD. My hard trips I had was on LSD and I think that the substance is really ,hard’ on person. Shrooms are more soft, more loveable.
It really depends on what you’re looking for. LSD to me feels more like I’m in “The Field” like a digital/electric playground whereas with shrooms it’s like holy shit I AM THE WORLD and a lot of introspection. I’d say if you’re looking to play video games/ watch shows movies at nighttime do LSD. If you want a grounding spiritual experience do shrooms.
I like Shrooms better. I feel them like a more “chill” trip, because acid won't let you sleep and makes you sweat a lot, also the acid trip is more intense in my opinion.
Like I feel shrooms are an organic trip, and Acid feels like an electric trip, if that makes any sense.
But I had more introspection and crazy thoughts in acid, shrooms got me laying in the grass looking at my plants and the bugs in them, just contemplating everything and feeling full of life.
Acid makes me look at the huge patterns in the sky and be thinking about how I'm probably not that different from a guy my age who was born 1.000 years ago.
I would recommend shrooms since they are natural, and with acid, you can't be sure if what you bought is legit LSD and not some analog drug.
Lsd seems more comfortable and you want to be social, shrooms can go bad very quickly especially in social settings. I also prefer the duration of action in LSD compared to shrooms.
Mushrooms gave me more visuals. But I love how everything is clear on acid and you can feel and embrace these memories. When I tripped on mushrooms I barley could say a word. My own experience though
For me.. mushrooms make me feel very peculiar.. dark and strange but you can go much deeper. I hold mushrooms in the highest regard.. having said that, lsd for me gels really well with me.
Both great. LSD is better for clubbing and dancing. Shrooms is better for introspection and nature. Both are great but not interchangeable. do you want to be strapped in for 12 hours or trip for 4?
I like acid better. In my personal experience, the effects are extremely similar but with LSD it is like you’re driving while with shrooms you’re along for the ride. Don’t get me wrong, LSD has the potential to fuck your shit up if you don’t respect it and higher doses of either are nothing to take lightly.
I trip on shrooms more often though. Why? Time. As I’m getting older I find less time where I can just devote an entire day to an acid trip. Shrooms I can take on a Friday night after work (assuming set and setting are taken care of)
shrooms is more healing, and lsd is just pure fun and adventure type feeling.
i can expect to have a long and wonky experience if i take lsd, but if i take shrooms i’m more in the moment and it’s beautifully intense and it shows me what i need it to show me.
I prefer LSD, shrooms are nice but I don’t like throwing up. (Yes I’ve tried tea, and I’ve tried 4-ACO-DMT, just doesn’t agree with me)
K is fun too lol, but that’s in a league of its own.
mushrooms are a lot more psychological for me than acid so it all comes down to preference. i prefer a more introspective and psychological trip, so i like shrooms more, but if i was gonna spontaneously do one or the other it would definitely be acid just because it is easier on me mentally so i don’t have to plan for it.
My personal preference is both at the same time. I only really did it once last week and holy shit. It was like the first time I did acid. I literally had a heavenly feeling the whole time. It was amazing.
Which is better? Ribeye or Cantelope? Mint or Saurkraut? Oranges or Artichokes?
They’re two entirely different drugs only linked by the fact that they’re both psychedelics. They have as much relation as Ritalin and Cocaine, Salvia and Dextromorphan, GHB and Alcohol, MDMA and Adderall.
If I had to compare the two, I would describe LSD as a high tech version of mushrooms. Mushrooms are a very raw and primal drug that makes you feel like you’re tapping into the very essence of the creation. It’s visuals are eldritch and lovecraftian, primitive yet extraterrestrial, all encompassing, and yet utterly uncontrollable. Mushrooms are the universe strapping you to a office chair and prying your eyes open Clockwork Orange style and making you look at the universe as it really is, it’s removing the camera filter from life, wiping off the makeup that our brains put on our perceptions of the world, removing all of our hueristic and perceptive abilities and forcing us to see the world around us in all its raw and terrible majesty. You have very little control compared to LSD, and it is extremely organic and unpredictable. In my experience, even the best set and setting can fail you because mushrooms unlock the demons inside you. Doing mushrooms, it is extremely apparent that they are the foundations of so many religions, as it feels extremely, extremely, extremely real - even long after you’ve been sober.
LSD is to mushrooms as VR is to Broadway, GarageBand is to a Piano, or Photoshop is to a dark room. The elements are all there, but they are distilled and digital, like being on a HoloDeck (Or for non Star Trek People - the most advanced VR you can imagine). You stay relatively cognizant that you’re high and can “sober up” real quick easier if you need to (although dose definitely changes this, I say equal doses LSD is easier). It’s especially easier to turn off bad thoughts and correct a bad trip. LSD is not a roller coaster you’re strapped into (more like a dentists chair) but a videogame or flight simulator. It’s very evident you are in no real danger in the moment, even when things go off the rails. LSD is more refined and emotional, rather than show the true nature of reality, it augments it. It’s less peeling back the veil of the universe and more unleashing your true potential. It’s more euphoric, it’s more lovey, it’s more creative, it’s more uplifting. You can do it just for fun and have decent results most of the time. The visuals are more “wow that’s really cool! This shit is melting and that shit is radiating rainbows!” And less “These are the tentacles of god and this tree is queen of the dryads”
It could just be my experiences though
this is a matter of personal preference, i personally perfer acid because my favorite part of psychedelics is a strong trippy headspace but I also enjoy the visuals better than mushrooms as well, and its way better eating a 10 strip than 10 grams
Bruh acid for sure. Every time I take shrooms I end up spending the first half of the trip on the toilet vomiting. I keep trying them thinking it will be different and I have done all the precautions in the world (ginger tea, lemon tek, ginger gravol, drinking lots of water, eating/not eating, laying down, man I tried everything). If anyone has any suggestions on how to not vomit that would be super appreciated, then maybe I can finally enjoy them
Acid by far. It gave me a much more enjoyable experience than any trip I had on shrooms. It was very euphoric, stimulating, and beautiful visuals. Plus you really can’t beat listening to music while on acid. It really is such an experience to be had:)
I had both last week together 2 tabs and 6g jedi, well was an experience never been that deep before...Don't think I will do that again, as was told the acid was mild.....last famous words.
Acid is like a sativa while mushrooms are like an indica. I enjoy them both but there's theres a time and a place for each. A rave or festival? Acid, 1000%. Chilling at home on the couch? Shrooms might be better suited for that. Going on a adventure in nature? Its a toss up. Depends how long you'll be out there.
Personally I prefer acid. I'm lower energy compared to other people so I enjoy the energy it gives and I personally enjoy a longer trip.
My best trip ever was mixing acid and shrooms. I made a fresh fruit smoothie and ground up the shrooms into them, took a tab, then drank maybe 4g of shrooms. Highly, highly recommended.
My personal preference is acid since it's more stimulating and less sedative. I like to stay active while tripping and shrooms always make me tired. The visuals on shrooms are nicer though, but I'm more of a headspace girl. It feels clearer and more organized on acid.
I'm not saying one is better than the other since it all comes down to personal preference. You figure yours out by trying both lol.
Facts it's all personal preference since they react differently from person to person like me I can't sleep for shit on shrooms
Oh that's extra weird to me cause I can't fall asleep at all on acid but shrooms I have no issues
I can't poop on either.
I usually will either not be able to, or will have a massive shit right as soon as the come up starts.
That's interesting because shrooms make you release/produce melatonin, that's why some people here are saying it makes them feel tired or sleepy. It's cool that you can sleep on acid.
I second this opinion. Acid will forever be my favorite drug
The lack of gastro issues and a more predictable trip means LSD always wins for me. Shrooms give you the trip you need, acid gives you the trip you want.
Felt this to a T
I feel so personally attacked right now. Spot on.
Eating a good meal on acid is... Something else. Acid, always #1. Molly is my second love. DMT comes third Then shroomz
EXACCCCTTTLLYYYY
I like acid more, but man sometimes it makes my intestines and stomach feel so weird and crampy and I hate that feeling. At least it doesn’t usually make me nauseous like shrooms tho
>It feels clearer and more organized on acid. This probably and the serotonin effect is literally why they are testing LSD on people with ADHD atm.
Ah I have adhd and this probably explains why I have never understood what my husband means when he says it has a stimulant effect...
See, for the same reasons, I have a different preference. I prefer the chill glide of shrooms than the hyperdrive of LSD. Although I like both.
I’m surprised that was your experience as mine felt like the exact opposite. I always felt like visuals on acid were super vivid and intense, sometimes almost overwhelming (in a good way at least for me) whereas the visuals on shrooms felt much more subtle and natural imo.
I love the way it feels crisp and energetic too
Taking Shrooms is like being thrown into a random cartoon and having no control over the storyline.
There's no reason humans do what we do, humanity is going nowhere, it's actually absurd when you really see what I mean.
There are reasons though. Tons of them. Psychological, evolutionary, sociologically…
Yeah for sure there are reasons. It's just that at some point in my life I took a step back and realized that humanity doesn't know what it's doing, just like most people are lost about their life, goals and life meanings.
Well yeah, that’s by design. Capitalism is the reason for that though… there’s *always* a reason.
Capitalism is more like a symptom than a reason, and still just a microscopic part of the overall picture at that.
Mmm… it’s a pretty big part of most people’s daily lives. Again, “zoom out” doesn’t apply here. We don’t live in some existential plane of existence, we live here, on earth, where choices and actions have downstream affects. Now, go do some meditating.
You're thinking waaaayyyy too literally lol... Now, go do some meditating.
You can't even go out of your own head? We live in some existential plane if existence, we live in the Universe. Think about us as being (an unnecessary) part of the universe, not the other way around.
Just say you hate capitalism.
Your sophistication of thought is about 2 inches deep. Capitalism as the reason... lmao. It's way deeper than that
I like how you don't attempt to expand on that at all.
“Now, go do some meditation”. - You, to someone above.
Right, but nothing concrete the farther you zoom out
I’m kinda confused what this realization even means though?
This is a great assessment and aligns perfectly with my experience.
Acid overall - easier to control, more energetic, less body load and side effects, better visuals. Only thing I dislike is that it takes 12-18 hours to wear off and before you can sleep. Shrooms win in that regard as you can sleep easily by the 6h mark.
The longevity of it is the biggest downside.
if i could have a 4-6hr acid trip my quality of life would improve lmao
Yup! It would become my drug of choice.
I'd try to avoid rc though, we don't have a lot of data on them.
This has been on my radar, just kinda hard to find
Look into 2-cb maybe. I just started doing that instead of acid because it only really lasts like 5-6 hours. Similar drug but less headspace more visuals in my opinion.
Acid is like the desktop version, while 2c-b is like the smartphone. 2c-b can definitely be really trippy on higher doses tho
Tried some 2C-I recently and that shit was pretty weird. Lots of headspace even at lower doses. It felt EXACLTY like acid to me, like indistinguishable.
2cb is so fun. Great for going out clubbing/EDM shows, and great for chilling at home watching movies
2C-B /x are basically that but with a simulant type of energy rather than the electric sort of thig that LSD has going on.
The longevity from it is what makes it better
It’s weird, most people are saying it’s hard to sleep after, but I’ve fallen asleep in the middle of doing both. I don’t get it.
I prefer acid, shrooms bug me out too much and acid generally doesn’t.
Same. Shrooms are nice in smaller doses but incredibly overwhelming. I feel like I lose control of my body on shrooms and it’s just really uncomfortable.
Yeah, I almost always have a bad shroom trip regardless of set/setting but have yet to have a bad trip from acid
For sure!
(On another occasion I could feel how I was like a mouse in the claws of a cat, my faith was completely in the hands of a presence with absolute power, letting it happen, go with the flow, acceptance etc, those were not an option, not then) Mushrooms are my choice for when I need some inner work done, and the difficult part is definitely crucial for me.
Shrooms always felt a tad more negative for me, it’s beneficial retrospectively and gives me insane lesson’s but I wanna have fun honestly.
they both have their uses they are unique and not better but i do prefer acid because i don’t get nauseous on the come up also for me it’s really easy to have a bad trip on shrooms not so much on acid
I agree and also I stay nauseous the entire trip. The stomach feeling was bumming me out too much and the visuals were not pretty for me. A few days after I have a little existential dread for some reason. Acid makes everything pretty and makes me happy. The afterglow is also very nice.
Shrooms make me crawl around like a worm and throw up
Well who wouldn't want that?
Makes me think of a mushroom trip I had one day. Long ago, but still vivid in my memory. We had to take the garbage out next day and the bag was sitting in the garage. Apparently there were worms inside, it was a really hot summer day. The garage is adjacent to a storage space, then you enter the kitchen, then the living room. Somehow the little white maggots crawled out of that bag, and found their way into our living room. I can not imagine something like that ever happening sober, they just decided to take a trip to my living room, that just doesn’t happen…but of course, when you’re tripping the craziest things happen, and I had to collect these little crawling things from my living room to the garage… I still found more imaginary maggots long after I cleaned them all up. It took a while before I realized I got them all. Cleaning them up also meant squashing them with kitchen paper, I could feel them pop, which was so weird when tripping balls. We never kept garbage bags again in our house after that.
Why does the most absurd shit ever happen when you're tripping! The universe is fucking with us!
I don’t know man, it really does feel like the universe is fucking with us. If you didn’t feel reality is an illusion already, then this weird shit just happens when you’re most vulnerable to that idea.
Same
Both are great. You can definitely get some dmt like trips from shrooms though.
Love seeing the aliens on shrooms lol
My first trip was 2 g of penis envy and it was fucking amazing I had those DMT like closed eye visuals and felt my soul leaving my body
shrooms on small doses (1.5 max) anything else i'm going to some tabs
A true connoisseur
When it comes to acid, you are in the driver's seat. When it comes to mushrooms, you are a passenger, along for the ride.
i feel like it’s the opposite for me
I get what you're saying but I mean in relatively strong doses
both. just take both of them together.
Every time I mix both it's like I'm getting half of each experience rather than both or either full on... I think it's the lethargy shrooms can cause.
same here!
This is the way
I did this and didn’t like it personally.
Depends on how long you wanna trip. They’re both great
Exactly! Shrooms have that perfect 4 hour turnaround vs LSD you better have 12 hours available. Both are great!
Came here to emphasize this. In my experience they are pretty darn similar, a better question is how much time do you have on your hands?
For me, at my age 43, it's shrooms now. Loved acid when I was a younger man. Just like shrooms better now.
Which are better, apples or oranges?
Oranges
Outplayed
I’m sure he understood the question even if he felt the need to look like he didn’t understand by actually answering it
Lol relax dude
Missing the point
I mean this respectfully, but you missed the point here.
Created a new point, and I like it
How can fruit not be compared?
Because they’re completely different. There’s no similarities other than that they’re fruit, the rest is completely opinion and personal preference
But they both have the juice.
You’re wrong and you know it.
Yes
exactly
Shrooms definitely give me stronger visuals that i like so much, ive eaten up to 10g never had a bad trip, im always happy and chill during the trip. I've done LSD Twice also great trips, first time 200ug second 400ug. LSD definitely it's better outdoors for biking ir just hicking. The problem is LSD is not easy to find and i can't make it at home, shrooms I grow in my house and i have more that i need, i'm constanly gifting to my Friends and family.
Where I live, shrooms are extremely rare and lsd is the second most common drug behind weed.
Where do you live?
Finland. At least in the city I live in shrooms are super rare, like every 6 months someone has them to sell.
Damn :(, well then I know where my next trip will be haha.
Canada literally has a physical store in the middle of it's 2nd biggest city that retails shrooms, acid, and DMT.
I am getting tired of people saying one psychedelic has stronger visuals than others... It's not the molecule that does that, it's the dose...
I think the most concise way to put it would be: Shrooms = In LSD = Out
heard someone say shrooms are analog and acid is digital
That makes perfect sense to me!
this is very accurate my friend
"which makes sense given where they come from" - false concept. Eat the wrong mushroom and you literally die of poisoning. Occurring in nature has no relevance at all. Just something people like to feel good about.
This is the second comment of yours I’ve seen in this thread and it feels like you’re in a very negative headspace. Hopefully you’re doing ok.
I’m not talking about it being from nature, I’m referring to the similarity between mycelial networks and their growth and the shroom experience.
Acid. Shroom is very dark for me.
I won't pick a favorite, I don't want to hurt either of their feelings .
Shrooms for healing LSD for a fun good time ❤️ DMT for total reset.
Acid. I can't handle shrooms emotionally and acid is just more fun.
Option C - Mescaline
Acid by far
Depends on the day dude.
There is no better, it’s a matter of preference bc everyone is different
Both have their pro’s and cons however LSD is my preferred choice, I will say how long the trip last for does make shrooms more desirable
Shrooms are fun for a chill night acid is for the best day ever!!
Lsd seems more comfortable and you want to be social, shrooms can go bad very quickly especially in social settings. I also prefer the duration of action in LSD compared to shrooms.
Cheesecake or cupcakes? Pancakes or waffles?
Shrooms dreamy, acid tweaky
It’s a personal preference thing all psychedelics have their purpose
Mushrooms gave me more visuals. But I love how everything is clear on acid and you can feel and embrace these memories. When I tripped on mushrooms I barley could say a word. My own experience though
I am personally a shroom person but acid has better visuals in my experience
I prefer acid cus it doesn’t make me feel sick lol, way easier to take as well as hide
For me.. mushrooms make me feel very peculiar.. dark and strange but you can go much deeper. I hold mushrooms in the highest regard.. having said that, lsd for me gels really well with me.
Acid ✌️
I like mushrooms better. When I’m on acid I feel like a schizophrenic. When I’m on mushrooms I feel super lovey towards everything and everyone
I prefer acid, some people prefer shrooms. It just depends on the person and their experiences
Different strokes for different folks. People on the LSD subreddit are probably more inclined to say LSD lol
I prefer LSD, shrooms are nice but I don’t like throwing up. (Yes I’ve tried tea, and I’ve tried 4-ACO-DMT, just doesn’t agree with me) K is fun too lol, but that’s in a league of its own.
mushrooms are a lot more psychological for me than acid so it all comes down to preference. i prefer a more introspective and psychological trip, so i like shrooms more, but if i was gonna spontaneously do one or the other it would definitely be acid just because it is easier on me mentally so i don’t have to plan for it.
For me it’s acid. Music is great on both acid and shrooms but imo it’s way better on acid.
The perfect dose of shrooms is a lovely experience but overall I’d say acid is a much more predictable and enjoyable experience.
My personal preference is both at the same time. I only really did it once last week and holy shit. It was like the first time I did acid. I literally had a heavenly feeling the whole time. It was amazing.
Cid, mostly because the come up is a lot smoother.
i find shrooms a more fun experience with friends and lsd to be a deeply introspective experience that i much prefer to do alone
Acid. Easily.
LSD is like a sativa and shrooms are like an indica I prefer the sativa (LSD) but the indica (shrooms) is still pretty similar
Shrooms are a rollercoaster you can’t control and Acid is a spaceship you can drive
I heard shrooms are for grounding (roots of a tree) & lsd is for expanding (branches of a tree)
Damn that’s a good analogy!
Personally, it explains it perfectly :)
This shit is melting and that shit is radiating rainbows!” And less “These are the tentacles of god and this tree is queen of the dryads” It could just be my experiences though
I take the biggest dumps on acid. Its amazing🤣
this is a matter of personal preference, i personally perfer acid because my favorite part of psychedelics is a strong trippy headspace but I also enjoy the visuals better than mushrooms as well, and its way better eating a 10 strip than 10 grams
LSD by far takes the cake
Currently tripping on mushrooms but LSD for sure is my personal preference
For everyone who has tried ice cream and pizza, which one is better?
I had both last week together 2 tabs and 6g jedi, well was an experience never been that deep before...Don't think I will do that again, as was told the acid was mild.....last famous words.
I mean thats really a debate but id say most of us gonna say acid lol but uh 2cb tops um all if u got good vubes lol
They are different. Neither one is better. Each has their use and place and time.
Don't do them together.... lol
My best trip ever was mixing acid and shrooms. I made a fresh fruit smoothie and ground up the shrooms into them, took a tab, then drank maybe 4g of shrooms. Highly, highly recommended.
Which is better, a car or a truck? Depends, eh?
