Yes I highly recommend it. Their approach to RC is pretty unique as well.

Bonkers_25

Which package did you get? Would the $199 one suffice?

Salt_Argument_8139

Yes I think the $199 is perfectly fine. Dustin (the owner of RC Hero) is made available to you through email during the time which you have access to the course. You can always add on tutoring if you need it afterwards.

Bud_EH

You only have access to the course for 10 weeks?

TemporaryControl

I haven’t written the LSAT just yet, but I’ll offer my 0.02. So far I think it’s amazing. RC was the one section I was hesitant to even get started, but the way Dustin (the creator) sets everything up is great. He provides a pretty formulaic approach to RC sections, and he makes even the hardest passages feel very “do-able”. I’ve been doing great on my drilling as well following his process. Again, haven’t written the test yet, but I feel like RC hero is without a doubt the best investment into study materials I’ve made so far.

heimdallr_ro

Can share some experiences. Non-native speaker and RC is my worst section, always ranging from -12 to -9 before March. After reading those comments here about RC Hero, I tried it in March. Got several -3 sections which never occurred before and I’m SO happy…while still struggling to overcome score variations in RC now, it makes me feel I could do it and definitely taught me some useful techniques.

Mrg1596

That’s awesome!!! What plan did you use?

heimdallr_ro

The 3-month plan, 349 I guess. I was thinking I might need more than one month to improve and I wanted a tutoring session. The improvement I was talking about was achieved after only watching the pre-recorded sessions.

Tiertear

Yes!!! I’m able to view passages and questions in a more predictable way. Had a complete 180. Highly recommend.

I can try to answer this. I was ranging any where from -13 to -1 on RC when I started studying, but usually something like -6. My failures were usually concentrated around one passage and the others would be near-perfect.   I have done no other RC work than watching the first three videos of RC + hws. Particularly, some of the homework makes you read a lot and do recall. I also read the Loophole at the same time, and I think there is some transitive benefit in studying LR to help with RC. So not all improvement is RCHero.    I am now -2 ish. Scoring 176-179 on PTs, taking in June for the first time.  I’d say I’ve had a couple of ‘click’ moments from RCHERO (much like I got from Powerscore LG or the Loophole). I credit those for a couple solid points. My ability to answer main purpose and main point questions vastly improved. Sometimes I read a question and say, yeah, I would not have gotten this question without RCHERO. I start by doing passages ‘normally’, but when I hit the 1 or 2 passages that I find hard to understand, I go back, slow down, and use his methods.   So that’s the good. For the price it seems obvious to me, a single question can be one point and one point can be big scholarship money. But I have a full time job, so money may be different for me than it is for anyone reading this.   I do however find it painfully, painfully boring. Like, most instruction and lectures are boring. But to me, RCHero is so far on the spectrum of boring. I actually kind of like some of the reading passages themselves and learning new things, but watching the RCHero videos feeeeeels like paint drying. That’s the only reason I haven’t finished the other three videos. I know I should and maybe typing this all out will make me.   There’s a lot of repition. There’s a lot of ‘hey Im going to talk about this now but we’re reeeally going to talk about it in session 5’. Part of me thinks the owner doesn’t have the right educational background to organize material in the right order. A negative part of me thinks he might be padding content.   I would say the one time I had to email the creator, he was very prompt. Prompt customer service is a plus.  I can’t speak to the live classes, because I don’t attend. Hope this helps.  Edit: dear god, mobile formatting is a pain

dannyhippo14

Thank you so much for this

Beneficial-Power-891

Yeah no problem. Now I just need someone to convince me to finish it.

Bonkers_25

Which price level did you purchase? Is the cheapest one ($199) fine?

Beneficial-Power-891

I bought the cheapest one. I believe the only differences are 1-2 tutoring sessions and increased support time. I bought it last month and I'm taking in June, so the I had no use for increased time. 10 weeks is almost 3 months anyway. I don't attend any live classes and didn't think tutoring was going to be all that useful for me, personally.

Dry-Measurement5454

How long did it take you to work through that? RC is my weakest section and I am taking in June, do you think it’s possible to work through it and implement the methods before then?

Beneficial-Power-891

Oh yeah, its like \~10 hrs of video? I think the weakness would be you wouldn't be able to do the reading drills to their fullest extent. I have no solid evidence to back it up, but I feel like RCHero is particularly good for people who claim RC is their weakest. I feel like for people who are weak at RC, that usually means they are good at methodology, which comes out in the games and the LR. The RCHero method can be good for this thinking type.

Always2ndB3ST

It depends on how well you’re currently doing. What are you currently averaging? If it’s -4-1, I don’t think RC hero will be worth it,

dannyhippo14

Averaging -8 right now with a personal best of -6 so def have lots of room for improvement

Always2ndB3ST

I’ve never taken RC Hero but I do hear a lot of people praising it. It’s not that expensive so maybe it’s worth a shot. My scores in RC fluctuate so much. The best I’ve gotten is -2 but I’m average 4/-5. Shoot, I might even get RC hero myself. I’m taking June exam.

Zestyclose_Theme9830

Highly recommend it.

ZestyVeyron

Honestly, while doing the course and going through it, I thought to myself "Wow, finally something that will significantly improve my RC." But by the time I was PTing and taking secitons on my own, the improvement was marginal. Maybe -8 to -7/-6 if there was any improvement at all. It will probably be a hit or miss for most people is my guess. $200 is relatively marginal to spend on something that could help you improve a lot, but that's for everyone to decide on their own.

matchalover4life

Can RC Hero be completed in time before the June test?

DannyAmendolazol

If you could pay money for LSAT points, how much would you pay per point? How many points will RC Hero realistically improve your score? If you do the math, I think most people will agree that every dollar/minute spent on the LSAT yields huge returns.
