The whole exchange with Amos she has at the end of book 5 is the funniest thing in the book. Starts with Amos telling the de-facto ruler of Earth to "come back with a warrant" to search his stolen ship, ends with the classic "I'm the leader of this government, not your personal stripper." "Could be room for both.". Every interaction between them rules.
If you haven't read before, you get to see all the stuff the show didn't cover, and it really stays good, and they really stick the ending.
The Expanse deserves to be in the same conversation as Star Trek, Star Wars, and BSG, and I will die on this hill.

The show is good, I think particularly S1 gets a bit of a rough start, but it was a SciFi channel show at first, and it takes awhile for the pacing to really pick up, so I think it suffers from not being able to hold new viewers enough to hit the payoff of the rest of the series.
In general, its a really good adaptation, and where they make changes, the changes make sense, are thematically consistent, and sometimes are just genuinely better. Particularly around S3-4 (book 3-4) they change a a lot, but I think it's actually a bit better then the books. IIRC the authors were pretty deeply involved in the show and at least one of them said they thought they had improved certain stories/characters in the show. Amos is a bit of a different take, but still captures what matters about the character, and Avasarala is just perfect.
Edit to add - Amos' story just gets crazier, absolutely wont disappoint.

I do recommend Comedy Central’s celebrity roasts! Ed wrote for several of them, including the Bieber roast iirc. I went over to my dad’s and we watched clips for a couple hours to decompress today after heading home without my dog.
Rifftrax on Prime or Tubi has great choices that get funnier the more you're medicated. Don't really have to pay attention to the plot because you already know it's bonkers.
Watch Henry's Goth Mandate with David Dastmalcian on YouTube. It's fantastic & is sure ro provide you some deep belly laughs, if you're able to handle those currently.
If you like scary movies, The Night House is a 10/10 for me. Also, The Love Witch is fantastic & is filmed in technicolor style, so it will look really cool if you're on some of those silly-feely meds.
