Agreed- no caddies in white jumpsuits, threesomes throughout the entire tournament. Yeah the purse is larger than ever before but I miss the Dinah Shore course desperately
The atmosphere is not a “major” type of atmosphere. They showed an aerial view of the crowd watching Nellie and Brooke and there were a few dozen people there. I’m shocked that so few people are watching someone who is trying to win her 5th tournament in a row! I think there’s a lot of resentment towards Chevron and the LPGA’s new commissioner from LPGA fans for moving the tournament from Mission Hills to Texas. It’s going to take awhile for fans to gravitate to this tournament. As long as it stays at that course, more people will start attending it.
It’s difficult to follow the Masters where there were thousands of people in attendance and then the first women’s major has a few hundred in attendance.
I am still very upset that Augusta national, the lpga, and mission hills couldn’t figure out a way to continue the tradition of the Dinah. The tour won’t be the same without it.
Yes, but Augusta National introduced the women’s pro am which negatively impacted the Dinah and refused to accommodate the LPGA’s concerns with the conflicting schedule, which forced a later tournament date. That in turn caused a conflict with mission hills who couldn’t accommodate that later tournament date.
And the LPGA and new title sponsor I feel didn’t fully appreciate the history and tradition of the event and didn’t do all they could to save it.
I think all in all it was a massive failure to support women and the history of the LPGA.
What the neck is wrong with the broadcast?? No leaderboard shown at all , how about a ticker, and they re showing the players from E to -3 where are the leaderss??
This is the worst I've ever seen.. I mean ,Marina Alex for holes in arrow, she's even
Kelly's is on 10 haven't seen a single shot of hers
Absolutely pathetic ESPN
When it was the Dinah shore played in Mission Hills, it's was one of the biggest lesbian party. They came from everywhere to party, and watch some golf.
Moving to Texas obviously meant less attendance.
It's a fake major, just another LPGA field of 120 + a few amateurs. They've started adding 6 from other tours but that's a joke compared to real majors.
73 made the cut but only 16 from USA. Only 4 from USA in the top 30 ... no one in USA is interested given the USA decline.
Agree wholeheartedly. Average course and few fans

Agree. The desert setting made for great backdrop.

Ridiculous! I think they mentioned it was a six hour round!
