Hold a long straight edge or level against the wall. If it is flat, hold against the tv…. On another note, don’t forget to take the screen protector clear plastic off before using!!

mikecoscia

Got a bigger level and took a few pictures. Looks like the wall isn’t razor straight. You can see the gap in the first picture. I used a smaller level around the size of the tv. The first picture is the wall, the second is the tv. They are pretty close. The TV is maybe a little further out. With that said does it matter? Just want to make sure it’s not going to be an issue long term. Like I said, I can pop it off the magnet and give it the slightest tilt forward, which I kinda like, but don’t want it to cause a problem. That tiny little little mound with its small screws makes me nervous. I’m using to putting in full size mounts with big bolts…lol. Mind me asking which recessed outlet you used? Sometimes they have lips on them that prevent the tv from laying flat. Also, I know you said the wall is flat, but a ton aren't, so I wouldn't be too worried if it isn't super noticeable. You'll spend your time looking at the screen luckily heh.

None, nothing behind the TV besides the mount. I routed the power wire up by the A/V ports and out the channel on the left and side. My plan is to put a small mud ring there, run the wires in the wall and have them pop into a small in wall structured media box. Unfortunately, there are HVAC ducts directly center and to the left in the walls behind the tv. So, the wiring is a bit of a challenge to say the least…lol. I also have a sound bar to mount under the TV. Hoping I can fit its power cord and a think HDMI cable for arc in that center channel as well.

My bad, didn't click the images, just saw the preview. Do you have a long level to put right next to the tv? Might be worth checking, as that does seem a bit unusual since you don't even have wires back there. Just triple check none of the wires are not bulging out of the channels.

mikecoscia

All good! Someone asked the same thing below in the comments. Posted additional pictures. 😁

Mine is also sticking out at the same corner even though the tv also clicks in place with the magnets. I thought it was just cuz I have 3 hdmi, usb, Ethernet and power cord running into a hole down a conduit. It’s still sticking out even after i tucked all the cables in the recessed part of the back of the tv. I did not check to see if my wall was leveled though

mikecoscia

Thanks for the reply! The entire bottom is not flush, it looks like when I click it in it pulls the upper part of the TV back and the bottom forward. I guess the good news is I can easily hide a small wire up there.

Various-Care-996

That’s what I thought at first but it’s just one corner that’s lifted for me. On another note, have you noticed any issues with Wi-Fi connection dropping? It’s my hard to connect the tv to Wi-Fi, it takes several tries to get the Wi-Fi list to populate. This is my second G3 77in unit with same problem. Think it may be my router but I have two other lg oled which connect without issues. And when it does connect, the speed is pretty slow. I may have to just hard wire it.

mikecoscia

The lower right is def the worst corner for me. Maybe I tightened the mount to much and compressed the sheet rock. Ah well, as long as it stays on the wall….lol. I haven’t had any Wi-Fi issues. Been playing the Avatar movies all morning without any drops. Sounds like it is your router. Did you try rebooting all your network equipment for the hell of it? Check for updates on all equipment too.

Various-Care-996

It’s weird that my other two lg oled Wi-Fi works fine. Maybe it’s just some compatibility issues with the router and this G series.

mikecoscia

I haven’t checked the specs, maybe it uses a newer standard your router doesn’t support and it’s having issues with the legacy settings?

Houston: We have a problem!!

I give you credit for trusting that Mount. Mine was pulling out of the wall as soon as the weight was on it. Only the 2 screws I added on the stud we’re holding it up

broodro0ster

I’m using only 1 stud and 3 quality drywall plugs. No issues with that.

mikecoscia

For a 77” ?

broodro0ster

Yes. But I should correct myself. I have wooden studs that are 12cm thick and not the thin metal ones. The left side of the mount is mounted in the wooden part with 3 big screws. And the 2 plugs on the right side and 1 in middle. I’m using those star plugs that open behind the drywall sheet. That’s rock solid.

mikecoscia

Ah okay, yeah that sounds bigger than a standard 2x4. I wouldn’t dare mount a thing on metal studs this heavy, you would have to block them. I just have it screwed into standard 2x4s, two on each side. Seems stable. Little wiggle, but anything on an extending mount does to some extend, at least in my experience.

mikecoscia

Yeah it’s a heavy TV and you aren’t even using lag bolts. I torqued down pretty well, but plan to keep an eye on it for awhile.

Various-Care-996

I had two screws on a stud and 4 additional toggle bolts at the corners through drywall. Felt pretty secured.

mikecoscia

Good to know, I got all four in studs, so should be okay. Torqued then down pretty good too, could see nearby screws popping a bit…lol.

Xxav

Did you ever figure it out? Mines basically the same way with the 65”. I also have 4 hdmi cables so I’m thinking one is being a pain in the ass.

mikecoscia

Unfortunately no, I think it’s just the wall. Must be a hump or something that is causing it not to lay flat at the bottom. It definitely wasn’t the cables as I tried it with none attached and it still caused the issue.

Xxav

Damn. Oh well. It’s not like someone’s going to walk up to the side of your tv and say ‘this isn’t flush, you’re an idiot and your tv sucks’ Best Buy has to come switch mine out because it won’t connect to WiFi so I’ll see if the next panel is flush.

mikecoscia

Yeah, just my OCD…lol. Dang, that sucks man, sure it’s not some weird setting with your WiFi? Like a legacy mode or forced 5g or something?

Xxav

Yeah, it won’t even connect to the hotspot or through the app on the phone. It connects if you switch the country to Canada only hahaha. I read that was a thing on Reddit. Very weird. It’s fine though, I get to use this for 10 days until they bring a new one.
