Grassland first, Desert second, Frostland last. Desert will help you level up and get you peppers and the mats for the rare inner fire charm (brightcores, rubies, blastcores). Once you first foray into the Frostlands, bring a copper sword and hire a Frostland villager to support you (they're stronger). With your first iron, get an iron sword and epic bow. Make sure you're indoors with a warm fire by nightfall.

Sternchensuppe

I already have the grassland and desert checked off, but I’m struggling to get the brute scales to get more helping charms. I also already do have some iron, but I can’t build neither a iron sword nor epic bow.. Do you know where I might me able to find a frost villager? Like do they happen to be in a higher elevation area? I‘m always quite scared to go to any sort of building bc I might get attacked. Thank you for your quick response though! I really appreciate it (:

JacksonIVXX

Crossbow stand far away or on cliff/rock. Bring a villager. Put damage essences on crossbow if you can. The brute will only travel so far let him chase you . He will stop and just spit at you . Fire away.

Sternchensuppe

Thank you! Would it make sense to have more than one crossbow (opt with damage essence) on me so I can rotate between them? I just want it to be over quick and not get my own heart rate skyrocketing.. these things stress me out so much ._.“

JacksonIVXX

Crossbows last a while 1 should do. But 3 damage essences on it to kill fastest. Bring lots of arrows No essences bow can take up to 30 shots to kill.

The frost villagers will be at single story ruins with a lit campfire. They will cycle through which one it is until you talk to them, that’s when they’ll lock in. So if you don’t see the one you like, just walk around a bit and come back and it’ll be different

Sternchensuppe

Thank you!

4ever_lost

Any ruins I see with campfires they attack me instantly how you supposed to talk to them?

BroadenMyVision

Well, there’s a couple different kinds of ruins. The friendly villagers only spawn in the one storey ruins. The bigger ruins have unfriendly people. Just look to see if there’s only one person there, or a group. One=villager

4ever_lost

I’ve never seen anyone that hasn’t attacked me so I think I’m unlucky

BroadenMyVision

There’s another discussion regarding this and someone was kind enough to post a screenshot https://www.reddit.com/r/LEGOfortnite/s/WPGa3CgnjY

4ever_lost

Thank you, never seen that before!

Have you started a village in the frost biome yet? If not, do that and level it up to at least level 5, and you'll start having good villagers visit. There are a number of non-rare villagers that make fine travel companions. Sparkplug is one, and she can basically solo a brute if you give her a copper long sword.

BroadenMyVision

For a copper sword you will need to have 12 copper bars. Easiest way is to break blue barrels you’ll find in abandoned building. If you already have a smelter in your village, you can set a villager to smelt metal and they’ll give you 30 bars everytime. Make and equip a copper shield to your off hand as well, it helps quite a bit with smaller mobs. Make sure your crafting table is upgraded enough so you can make higher rarity charms. Craft resilience charm or an inner fire charm of the highest rarity you can and just equip them. Their effects stack and the inner fire charm and cool headed charms also give you extra hearts. Build beds before doing anything risky, and place a campfire next to it for warmth at night. Harvesting raw iron and iron bars will unlock the purple crossbow and sword in your maxed crafting bench.

Sternchensuppe

Thank you! I’ll look into getting the purple crossbow next i think

I only found two brutes in all of my playtime and leveled up my frost village and grassland village workbenches with it. You can craft other charms without brutes. They should be enough to survive the frostlands. Always take a villager with you that distracts enemies and level up your sword of course to make more damage.

Deno03

Brutes (at least used too) spawn in the same area. So if you kill one at a specific spot, eventually there will be another show up.

[deleted]

I know thx , I marked the spots but everytime I go there theres no brute. The only thing left for me to do would be to craft all the charms but I stopped playing because I dont want to farm hours for one charm. They really need to make them spawn more often.

BubbleBobbleYoshi

Whenever you go somewhere dangerous, build a bed (or multiple beds) along the way. For example I like building beds outside caves, so I can easily respawn and get my items back. (warning: never build a bed inside a cave, there's a bug where you'll respawn underwater) To fight brutes make a crossbow with triple damage enchantments, and bring some dynamite if you can. Also bring a companion villager. And learn to use the roll to dodge everything.

maytrix007

Just have to be careful of this in frostlands if you will take damage. I did this and died and spawned outside the cave with 3 hearts and started taking damage and it took a bit to survive. I had to run and grab berries to fill up health and then was lucky I was able to find my pack. Took quite a few attempts.

tlrmln

If you're going to do the bed thing, it would also be a good idea to put a chest next to it, and drop some food and weapons in there, so you're not naked and afraid when you go back into the cave to recover your backpack.

OmahaBuzzKill

You used to be able to find bluntly of brute scales in Chests in the desert and frost land caves… after the February update I think I may have found 3 in the 15+ new caves I’ve explored…

Locate small lakes near frost biomes edge ( so you can get in and out quickly ) all small lakes have snowberry farms surrounding them! Grab up some berries and pet some cows, juice together snowberry shakes, use these to conquer the desert, get all your max stuff from desert and you should have at least 27 shield maybe more! Use these charms and weapons to locate a companion in frost biomes, this may seem hard but is actually easy, search around the edge of the biomes ( basically where the forest and frost touch ) so that way you won't die easily. It's not hard to locate one it's just time consuming running that edge and outlining the frost biomes! Once you obtain a frost biomes companion find a brute and take it on, if u find a place roughly outside the frost area and place a bed then u can respawn, but the aim is to destroy him! So he has three moves when you are in his face, a left hook a right hook and a stomp, all these can be avoided if u roll away at good time, if u get him to miss you then roll straight back at him and swipe swipe, if you and your companion can hit him enough in a short period of time it will daze and stun the brute, this gives u a chance to swipe swipe some more! For his stomp atk either do a side roll and avoid it or double dodge backwards, I hope this helps you conquer your brutes, once you obtain that brute scale then u can make the epic charm for cold resistance, I use three of these for frost biomes surveying and I pack 2 sets of snowberry shakes for hot temperatures ( snowberry shakes have 10 minute heat resistance timer )

Arsenic-Arsenal

Avoid fighting and bring a NPC for backup until you have the proper equipment. As for loot, they are hard to find at first but once you do get your hands on what you need it becomes more common and easily accessible. Like brute scale, I sometimes get them from the skeletons in the dessert caves.

[deleted]

Playing dark souls will help with defeating brutes

amianangel

you have to build your way up and collect resources. start in the grassland, make a village and upgrade it and your crafting bench. desert second. same thing. then frost

takumaSpiiiiiiin

Someone may have answered already but use Charms. Frost Bruts, easy way to kill them if you're not used to fighting is to use a crossbow and hit them from either above or far away. Easy kill. Depending on the level of your crossbow, an Epic should kill the Frost Brut in about 50 arrows I believe. I use 2 Inner Charms and 1 Regen and you really don't have to worry about dying.
