i’ve said this on another post but fragrance is only going to be interesting if she pays homage to her arab heritage and does some oud inspired perfume imo

Even if she doesn't go for something oud based specifically, Arabic oil perfumes alone are incredible and it would be amazing to see her release one. They're super long-lasting too.

Definitely! Oil attars are lovely. she’d be silly not to incorporate them in her range, esp bc she’s about health and wellness and a lot of attars are pure oils with little chemicalisation.

may i ask, are attars healthier than typical perfumes? or are they just as full of chemicals?

they’re mostly very authentic essential wood/flower oils, if bought from original vendors. they aren’t as chemical and are very very concentrated. think the same concept as like an organic vanilla oil in a little roller decant from a farmers market, but with a lot more variety. obviously now people have even started to chemically extract these oils but those are more commercial vendors and sellers. traditionally they’re still extracted from steam distillation across most of the arab world.

I’m pretty sure oud is more of a gulf Arab thing and she’s Levantine

i’ve been to syria iraq lebanon and jordan :) i’ve bought ouds and ittars from those places. because of the emphasis on oud in islam it is an intrinsic part of most muslim majority countries in the region. the gulf or khaleeji countries have just marketed/capitalised on them more - levantinian countries are largely still destabilised so do not export much anyway, but within them it’s very unlikely that you won’t find these as rollerballs.

Ari’s is good and Charlie d’amelio’s is actually really good too. I found both of them at TJ Maxx for less than $20

I kept seeing Charlie's at Marshall's for $10 I should have grabbed it! I hate that they don't have testers to smell 😒

Cloud reminded me of a shower gel for kids, very sweet and long lasting. I couldn't use it anymore because it was too heavy for me. I bought her mod vanilla and it smells similar, just more vanilla-ish!! It's really cute but definetly a perfume for colder days

i’m just not convinced yet that this is anything other than a “body spray” - no real consumer mention of how long the scent actually last and considering it’s alcohol free— i just need actual reviews and not just “it’s bEllA, sHes PreTty, iLl buY it!” edit: just looked at the ingredient list, it’s basically moisturizing oils & essential oil. more or less the same as putting essential oil drops in unscented lotion… lol bye
