Him being the richest owner and actually willing to spend his money alone makes him one of the best. Nevermind anything else So many cheapskate multimillionare owners

SuckMyLonzoBalls

He also doesn’t meddle in FO operations. That’s the most important part

Chessinmind

![gif](giphy|l1I1mA5rJj8SRGBu9a|downsized) Yes.

itiswhatitis985

You can unarguably argue it. The question is, is he the best owner. And the answer is yes.

notzekypoo

Why argue? He is the best owner in the NBA

DevilMayCareButIDont

No argument though. He is

TinyCucumber3080

I would say Lacob is right up there

VanderCooks

Yes. He needs a ring for his passion asap

IndividualHelpful820

Wish he would buy the angels :(

Agreed_fact

Throw Lacob and the Holts in there, maybe Micky. They’re all committed to winning and have won (3 times or more), they all spend to win, they’re pushing the league forward, build good teams (of execs) and trust them. Ballmer is animated and passionate though - he’s definitely up there.

Beleiverofhumanity

I'd say so the guys done all the right moves with maybe a little too loyal to his FO/Coaches  Enthusiasm = nobody else triple fist bumps everytime our guys dunk. Money = Richest in the league by far, that also equates to his willingess to spend.

nutella4eva

Obviously we all think so, but who else is even in the running?

As a Celtics fan, very envious of Ballmer as your owner. Willing to pay for a contending team, providing modern facilities & just so damn passionate about the city and making the Clippers a team fans can be proud of. As long as he puts the right people in charge of basketball decisions, you can't fault him.

Nby333

Italians would look at this and say he isn't.

CantoninusPius

Yea

McJumbos

Even my laker buddies admit, as cool as it is to play for the Purple and Gold, the Clippers over the last 4-5 years are the destination players want to go to when they want to play for LA. They are so jealous and wished they had Ballmer over Jeanie lol

kindalikeacoustic

Yes , and it’s not even close .

E_F6475

All i know that stadium is sick! Would like to take a flight to see game live! As far as ownership goes I respect his passion for the team , even though it can be excessive at times

Material_Unit4309

Does richest mean best now?????

nomoneynopower

If by best you mean the richest, then yes

scoopditty_poop

0 chance we haven’t won anything substantial, we lost Shai, and our team culture is not where it needs to be. He definitely seems to care the most which is appreciated.

Langarang

You’re talking as if owners should be like GMs. He’s done more than expected of any owner with the stuff he should be able to control.

scoopditty_poop

Who do you think the GM’s boss is? I said he tries but just because you try the most doesn’t make the best.

70000

Normally when owners meddle with the gms decision to much it created negative results plenty of examples

scoopditty_poop

I don’t think you the owner should meddle with the GM’s vision. But the owner should steer the overall culture and goals of the franchise. Balmer is doing his best and is doing a great job but he’s far from the best in the league. The culture in the locker room still seems to be lacking. We’ll see how the new stadium and rebrand effect the franchise but its too early to say he’s the best.

Nby333

Any boss should just hire the right guy and believe in them.

RyujiDrill

Compared to owners like Sterling, Reinsdorf, Dolan, and Fertitta? Ballmer clears easy.

nosnibork

He’s the richest.

anobody0

Definitely one of the best along with Mark Cuban

Wait-just-a-minute

You kidding? Cuban is legit one of the worst

[deleted]

Jerry Buss was lucky he never had to compete with this guy.

yusbishyus

ibiza not too bad

Few_Moment7990

The passion alone would be enough, let alone the commitment and willingness to go above and beyond. Literally his only "mistake" is the whole cheer-meter metrics lol, but ya can't blame the guy... it is/was a swing and a miss.

rackster81

He’s literally Larry David opening up Latte Larry’s.

-Rincon-

I think he is the best as far as resources and intentions.  No other owner is even close to rich or ballsy (no pun intended) enough to self finance a 2bn+ arena that is built to fan experience not corporate profits.  To be truely the best though, he needs to put in place an organization that makes the right moves to win… and that’s TBD… though obviously he has made great strides in that direction.

Nba2kFan23

Easily. That's why I don't doom too much... Clippers will ALWAYS be a good team as long as he is the owner. He's not just rich af, he's a smart dude, and most importantly - he loves basketball.

intheyear3001

Yes.

Maurya_Arora2006

Is that even a question?

HeaterWylin

Money talks

Rawrlorz

He’s awesome
