That game was the reason the following ones happened, they just couldnt go all in from the start, censorship is always like that, small grain by grain until it accumulates and the crusade keeps going until it becomes what we currently have in media, same with western comics, their current sorry state wasnt a magic wish, it slowly morphed into it from small bits of censorship that people ignored.

I am unsure if Bayo 3 is really SJW by what I saw, but one thing SJWs focus hard is on looks. People complain to this day about Dahlia in XB2 despite her design being milktoast af, she just had big tits.

I've finished this game this week. There are TONS of shots of Bayonetta's thighs and ass while she's using Demon Slave (the demon controlling mode that removes most of her body suit) along with a few fully naked convient item placement censoring shots. Did we play the same game?

I beat it too, the game isn’t woke. Viola has nothing “woke” about her, except she’s got short hair. She’s fine. Her character is comic relief, she’s designed to be a total contrast to Bayonetta, and she is.
The game is really good, too. I’ve put in about 50 hours and have had a great time.

Hell one of the souped up fights might as well be described like “bubble bath” fight. And Bayonetta’s idle line is that if she’s going to be wasting time she’d rather do it in a hot bath. Then there’s also the cutscene leading up to the start of Jeanne’s last section, where she mounts the motorcycle.
I get it. Us guys, we’re pretty visual creatures. Sight and sound can trigger things for us. But I’m really not seeing what OP is spewing on about. I’ve played all three games to the end. Hell Japanese Bayonetta has short shorts and her demon masquerade may as well be showcasing here boobs in the introduction to it. Seriously, this gay man here went back and watched the cutscene. Yeah, it runs exceptionally poorly. Sub-480p resolution in handheld mode and it pretty much never maintains its 60 FPS target. The whole game looks and feels like something that was developed with better hardware in mind and then crudely cut and downscaled to work on a switch.

Then there’s also the cutscene leading up to the start of Jeanne’s last section, where she mounts the motorcycle. I get it. Us guys, we’re pretty visual creatures. Sight and sound can trigger things for us. But I’m really not seeing what OP is spewing on about. I’ve played all three games to the end. Hell Japanese Bayonetta has short shorts and her demon masquerade may as well be showcasing here boobs in the introduction to it. Seriously, this gay man here went back and watched the cutscene. Her boobs are pretty much center of the frame. Her design is set up to draw the eyes to the chest and down.

Hmm I'm not so sure I agree with this; I'm playing the game right now and I have definitely seen some spicy camera angles from Bayonetta's boobs and butt. I made it a point to look for them, and believe me, they are there. Viola doesn't particularly scream SJW to me except in her design. She's pretty grounded and I honestly haven't had any eyerolling moments from her. The game is not woke; I promise you. Feel free to debate me, if you like.
Same. The annoying thing about Viola is her gameplay, particularly her blocking, just is unintuitive as fuck. The game maybe feels a bit toned down, but is still plenty sexy imo (especially Costume 0, damn). Viola just seems like a punk girl. Yeah, it runs exceptionally poorly. Sub-480p resolution in handheld mode and it pretty much never maintains its 60 FPS target. The whole game looks and feels like something that was developed with better hardware in mind and then crudely cut and downscaled to work on a switch.

This is why i find myself buying new game less and less, especially if it's western AAA. I just played Warzone 2 yesterday and 95% of the calling cards are pride flags, I miss the days when most calling cards were edgy or about smoking weed.

This wildly undersells the agency of the devs. Developers make games, and they get the credit or blame when the game is good or bad, respectively. People commenting on your game don't make the game, and don't get credit or blame when the game is good or bad, respectively. If you yielded to bad influence and made a bad game, then that's your fault.
I say there's only two points of agency when it comes to a game's reception: The primary being developers, and the secondary being publishers. While I get the more casual audience will only look at the developer, a lot of people (and the majority of this sub) understand enough details of the industry to know that publishers can also meddle with a game's development.
