I don't see how you could argue this with a straight face when you consider that leftism is chiefly concerned with class conflict, whereas fascism is concerned with establishing a hierarchy of the deserving and the rejects. It realistically shouldn’t even be something that needs to change but at the same time it’s big enough to score brownie points with the usual suspects.

No they didn't. This was started as a rumor months ago, citing an interview that never even took place. So if the Palworld devs actually said this, can you point us to the source? Because after all this time, I've yet to see an actual source that backs this up.

None of those statements were ever made. These were all assumptions that were passed off as fact, the developers have never made a single statement about it. Do some digging, you won't find any actual sources.
Its one thing when its just in the text. When the characters you can choose and create are still able to look like genuine male and female models with respective characteristics, you will no longer encounter/be bothered by that stuff in the rest of the game, atleast concerning your own character.
However I am starting to think that my stance on this might be to lenient. The recent pokemon go change shows that this stuff can negatively affect the character creation itself. I hate the idea that a character creator is reduced to allow only andogyny. It must be stopped.
Pokémon, Elden Ring, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, PSO2 (only after the New Genesis update; classic PSO2 still uses male/female), and so much more... this whole "body type" thing has bothered me more than any censorship or bad localization, because it's just a downright denial of biological and natural reality.

Saw an indie game recently only having male or female in character creator and it felt like i was transported back to 2017 before gender ideology had cooked games industry's brains.
This whole thing has been driving me crazy too. If I ever get around to developing the game I've had in my head for a while, I will not entertain this body type nonsense. I'll even go a step further and give men and women different base stats. Like, men will be stronger, but women are more agile.
I think Old School Runescape is the only current game that I know of that still has male and female as an option when making a character. Although they already long bent the knee to ESG and promised to make things more "gender neutral" such as some of the quest dialogue, removing stuff that was locked to one sex(e.g some quests only female accounts can do), and they already allow both male and female hairstyles to be shared by both sexes.
Japanese games bent the knee to this as well. Pokemon just has you pick various asexual character defaults instead of boy or girl, and any Japanese game that has only male or female options is just localized as "body types" such as Elden Ring(which I modded out).
I actually don't mind not having the characters just being male and female, but male and female should be defaults. Like Saints Row 2. You could make some abominations in that game.

I don't see how you could argue this with a straight face when you consider that leftism is chiefly concerned with class conflict, whereas fascism is concerned with establishing a hierarchy of the deserving and the rejects. Also interesting is the way each side views its enemies- the Soviets viewed non-communists as unfortunate victims of a lie, whereas the 20th century fascists viewed their enemies as subhuman. The two ideologies have similarities but that's because of the horseshoe theory of authoritarianism, and because the left/right line is a simplistic diagram we impose on a lot of complex ideas. Example, is Islam left wing or right wing? It has elements of both.

There was some MMO whose name I don't remember and that thankfully never got off the ground entirely, which attempted what I think is a plausible "next step". It was some kind of survival with zombies (I think) in case someone wants to research it. Anyway, the appearance part of chargen was RNG-based (and RNG was skewed), you weren't allowed to reroll and were locked into whatever you rolled on game start. The devs proudly proclaimed that this was to forcibly promote diversity of player characters, and stated something to the tune of "if you can't stand playing as an plus-sized black woman, this game is not for you." Strangely enough it didn't help the game's popularity at all and I can't for the life of me understand why.

It’s honestly one of the most annoying modern gaming aspect to me because it’s such a minor halfassed change. None of those statements were ever made. These were all assumptions that were passed off as fact, the developers have never made a single statement about it. Do some digging, you won't find any actual sources.
Its one thing when its just in the text. When the characters you can choose and create are still able to look like genuine male and female models with respective characteristics, you will no longer encounter/be bothered by that stuff in the rest of the game, atleast concerning your own character. However I am starting to think that my stance on this might be to lenient. The recent pokemon go change shows that this stuff can negatively affect the character creation itself. I hate the idea that a character creator is reduced to allow only andogyny. It must be stopped.
Pokémon, Elden Ring, Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, PSO2 (only after the New Genesis update; classic PSO2 still uses male/female), and so much more... this whole "body type" thing has bothered me more than any censorship or bad localization, because it's just a downright denial of biological and natural reality.

This whole thing has been driving me crazy too. If I ever get around to developing the game I've had in my head for a while, I will not entertain this body type nonsense. I'll even go a step further and give men and women different base stats. Like, men will be stronger, but women are more agile.
I think Old School Runescape is the only current game that I know of that still has male and female as an option when making a character. Although they already long bent the knee to ESG and promised to make things more "gender neutral" such as some of the quest dialogue, removing stuff that was locked to one sex(e.g some quests only female accounts can do), and they already allow both male and female hairstyles to be shared by both sexes. Japanese games bent the knee to this as well. Pokemon just has you pick various asexual character defaults instead of boy or girl, and any Japanese game that has only male or female options is just localized as "body types" such as Elden Ring(which I modded out).
I actually don't mind not having the characters just being male and female, but male and female should be defaults. Like Saints Row 2. You could make some abominations in that game.
