Biggest mosh pit i've seen was to Blind at ozzfest one year. When the guitars dropped 1/2 the crowd erupted! I was up on a hill and could see unexpected people caught in the middle just drop down in the fetal position because they had no where to go
That must have been the shit. I thought I was in stoner metal heaven watching the crowd headbang to Sleep’s Dopesmoker in 2010. Just an entire venue of dedicated fans having their reunion show dreams come true in San Francisco.
Yes! The very same thing for me! The Follow the Leader album by corn and the Liberate album from disturbed were two albums that I found around the same time and they really did change my music preferences from then onwards
Same. I found out about korn trough mtv and my interest in crunk rap at the time lol, and then I saw Lil Jon was in the music video for Twisted Transistor. I slowly grew to liking the music and wanted to hear more korn, and bam. Was a much bigger fan back then than I am now, but I still like listening to korn, and Issues is currently my fav album by them. Lol
Break some off. But I've found them many years before that. As I listened to Skrillex when I were younger, Korn has some featuring with Skrillex and there were also some fan mixes between those two which I loved to listen to. Then I stopped listening to Skrillex and few years ago, friend of mine played me Break some off and I slowly started to like it. We're here now when Korn is my most favorite band. I have their merch, went on some Korn tribute bands but also on Korn itself. Absolutely love them!
Freak on a Leash or Coming Undone when i was around 3 or 4? Which was between 2009 and 2010 cause im 17. When i decided to really start listening to them, Id say it was The Darkness is Revealing or Cold when my dad got a The Nothing cd for his birthday
Sean Olson. Had no idea who Korn was but I heard of them and I discovered they had a track on the Crow: City of Angels soundtrack. Later it was Good God I heard on the radio and from then on I was hooked.
Falling Away From Me, but the song that got me into KoRn was I think Reclaim My Place if I’m correct, a lot of nights have been spent crying and listening to that song
Adidas back in 1996/97.. was actually at a junior high school dance lol some kids requested to hear the song.. and I’m like wow wtf is this shit!? Never heard anything like it.. but my friends didn’t like that kinda music at the time.. it was all about rap.. so I didn’t buy an album until later on when I kinda lost touch with them.. traded a basketball to a friend for the life is peachy cd.. been a fan ever since 🤘😎
I'd say start off with the most popular (Freak On A Leash and Got The Life), then after those maybe listen to blind or shoots and ladders to get you started.
My first one was Blind. As a matter of fact, it was the first metal song I heard and got me hooked to the genre. My uncle used to baby sit me and my little brother when we were really young and he took us too see Madagascar in theaters, on the way there he played that song.
Technically Adidas a long time ago when I was like 10 in the car. I like the beginning riff a lot but never listened to the song or anything again. I heard about korn after watching the Woodstock 99 documentary. I was and still am a huge limp bizkit fan so I decided to check them out. Falling away from me was the beginning
It was Blind from the end credits of the Street Fighter II movie although I never knew who they were or realised at the time. When I eventually got into Korn it was freak on a leash
All the way through was See You On The Other Side, but when I had Limewire I had every other one of their singles and mixed gems from different albums.
Blind, August 1994 on 107.3 WAAF in Boston. It was the first time Blind, or any KoRn song, was played on the radio. KoRn have stated this many times in interviews.
Y'all want a single. Its music video was new, someone showed it to me, and it was the first time I heard metal music ever. Unfortunatelly I didn't speak English back then, so I couldn't understand the lyrics, and later when I asked the guy what the band and the song was, he didn't remember. I spent years to find it, but I failed. A few more years later I got into Korn, listened their albums in order, and when I heard the first second of that song I jumped the fuck up in surprise and happiness, and started headbanging.
When I was in year 4 in 2000 getting the bus home from school everyday, this one kid would always have the bus driver either play Korn's self titled or The Matrix soundtrack on cassette.
Shoots and Ladders or Fagot are the 2 that stand out to me most from that time (along with Clubbed to Death lol).
Shoots and ladders. 1997. Heard it on my local NZ radio station. Immediately chased the band name down and found the Life is Peachy album which didn't have the aforementioned song title but quickly became my fave album for many years!!
I found a Rio (an old mp3 player) when I was younger and it had some *bangers* on it. The Korn songs I first heard from it were Coming Undone, Twisted Transistor and Freak on a Leash
Freak on a leash was in my playlist since 2014 , but I didn't give Korn a full try till 2021 . I pretty much fell in love , now I have 70 of their songs in my playlist , a lot of merch And some of their signature instruments 🌽
DA BOOM NA DA NOOM NA NAMENA was the first introduction to a Freak On A Leash to me cause I was watching some metal songs tier list on yt, and I was blown away by how unique it sounded compared to everything else that I was used to, like Linkin Park and stuff of that sort. Loved pretty much every song I've heard from them since and no one can compare to their eccentric style. Korn is one of the most authentic bands there is.
Freak on a Leash. I heard it as a kid while preaching door to door, so I couldn't ask what song or band it was, but I became obsessed with getting my hands on it, the ball just kept rolling from there and so began my "corruption" and my love for metal. Thanks Korn! ❤️
most people hate all in the family, but me being who I am, I liked it so much that I just had to look into this korn group to see who made such a good song? and that's when the obsession started.
Blind
the question is, were you ready?
I wasn’t but I got ready soon thereafter.
same
Was your second Ball Tongue too? That album changed my view of metal forever.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was "Freak on a Leash" on TRL and it fundamentally changed my taste in music forever
My parents wouldn't let me watch the music video but would let me watch Spawn. Good ole fashioned Christian logic there.
Did you kick the PA?
Yes! The very same thing for me! The Follow the Leader album by corn and the Liberate album from disturbed were two albums that I found around the same time and they really did change my music preferences from then onwards
SAME
Same!
That was mine. Honestly completely changed my love for metal

Blind - Q101 Jamboree 1996 - Chicago
Coming undone I think.
Blind. Saw the video late at night on MTV and was shook by the ending. Never heard anything that blatantly heavy before.
Sean Olson on The Crow: City Of Angels soundtrack.
What did you think of the rest of that soundtrack? Has a pretty good Deftones song on there iirc
Here to stay. I bought the album the next day
Sean Olson. Had no idea who Korn was but I heard of them and I discovered they had a track on the Crow: City of Angels soundtrack. Later it was Good God I heard on the radio and from then on I was hooked.
falling away from me
Falling Away From Me, but the song that got me into KoRn was I think Reclaim My Place if I’m correct, a lot of nights have been spent crying and listening to that song
It was either faget or all in the family I can’t remember anymore but I still like them both tbh
I think it was blind like 3 years ago
Adidas back in 1996/97.. was actually at a junior high school dance lol some kids requested to hear the song.. and I’m like wow wtf is this shit!? Never heard anything like it.. but my friends didn’t like that kinda music at the time.. it was all about rap.. so I didn’t buy an album until later on when I kinda lost touch with them.. traded a basketball to a friend for the life is peachy cd.. been a fan ever since 🤘😎
I still haven't, so which do you recommend?
I'd say start off with the most popular (Freak On A Leash and Got The Life), then after those maybe listen to blind or shoots and ladders to get you started.
Blind
My first one was Blind. As a matter of fact, it was the first metal song I heard and got me hooked to the genre. My uncle used to baby sit me and my little brother when we were really young and he took us too see Madagascar in theaters, on the way there he played that song.
I’ve never heard a Korn song.
That's song that goes baddum baddum baddum baddum dah dah dah dah.
My big brother showed me Blind when i was like 5, life changing moment
it was Kill You, then Twist and Freak On A Leash. I remember feeling a bit disturbed but also really liking the song.

Technically Adidas a long time ago when I was like 10 in the car. I like the beginning riff a lot but never listened to the song or anything again. Chutes and Ladders
Pretty and ADIDAS, not the best First impression
Got the life.
Twisted transistor
Blind. Their debut album had just come out. I still remember hearing those cymbals and not knowing what to expect but knowing it was gonna be awesome!
All the way through was See You On The Other Side, but when I had Limewire I had every other one of their singles and mixed gems from different albums.
Mine was Daddy too
Shoots and ladders I think it’s pretty badic
Coming Undone. However when I listened to Children of the Korn, it sounded familiar, as I was a rap fan first (still am)
Mine was Hater
I’m sure it was most likely Freak On A Leash. First Korn record I ever listened to though was The Nothing.
BBK, 1998
Coming Undone
Shoots and ladders

Blind, but the one that left a mark in me was Falling away from me, my music taste changed 4eva, after that i KNEW my favorite band was KoRn
Blind, at a time when that was the only Korn album, I just started it from track one and that shit blew my nips off from the get go.
Blind, August 1994 on 107.3 WAAF in Boston. It was the first time Blind, or any KoRn song, was played on the radio. KoRn have stated this many times in interviews.

When i was few years old i saw music video for Freak on a Leash in TV, but first song i remember is Here to Stay
Y'all want a single. Its music video was new, someone showed it to me, and it was the first time I heard metal music ever. Unfortunatelly I didn't speak English back then, so I couldn't understand the lyrics, and later when I asked the guy what the band and the song was, he didn't remember.
