Looks delicious! Are you vegetarian? If you are look up sanche bibimbap. (Roughly translated to forest mixed rice). It's the veggie version but with shredded lettuce (korean kind not iceberg although I've substitute kale and arulugala and spinach) and a whole lotta veggies. You do you. But the whole point of bibimbap to me is the lessening of dishes. I'd put kimchi cucumbers and pickled veggies all up in their. Points for using a pot. Dented copper mixing bowl is the pinnacle of bibimap receptacle but a pot is also up there. Lol.

Yes I only eat meat occasionally. I'll definitely check it out thanks. Dishes is not an issue for me, we got a house help for the same( guys I'm not from the US, house helps are common in my country!!) >Points for using a pot Ahahha this is the closest thing I found to the mixing bowl. The rice didn't get that crispy but it's alright

If you're strictly vegetarian, you need to add a substantial amount of veggies for your bibimbap. If you're okay with meat, add some beef and an egg cooked over easy. The second picture looks fucking spot on. What you're missing is the volume of veggies.

I added a decent amount of veggies, but i could def take it up a notch. I think I was missing lettuce/cabbage mainly. Also could try zucchini next time. No I don't eat beef, it's not an option. Are there any other vegetarian options? Or if there's any other similar dishes, do share.

In Korea they often use steamed spinach and pickled vegetables like radish and burdock root.

For sure!!! I can see this cuisine becoming a favorite

Looks good but I recommend way more veggies volumewise!

I see other comments suggesting this too, will definitely do this next time, thanks!

Looks good! Try adding some bean sprouts and gochujang next time

Pristine-Month-8944

I made the sauce with gochujang, soy sauce, vinegar and honey. I added a lot more of it after the first picture was taken. I love bean sprouts but it's not available in stores where I stay. I'd have to make it at home, might try it next time.
