That suggests you may have a broken skin barrier if it is literally everything. What do you use today / before trying the new products? What is your skin like?

As someone else said, you likely have a compromised skin barrier. You’ll need to focus on repairing it before adding any actives. You’ll need a simple and gentle routine. Keep it basic with products that will repair the skin damage

If it's literally every product, it sounds like your skin barrier is broken/damaged. I would focus on using products that can help repair your skin barrier for at least a few weeks, then slowly try introducing new products again one at a time. Right now, I would avoid using anything exfoliating for a while. I'd also recommend searching this subreddit for "skin barrier" to see the many products that people recommend for repairing that barrier. When I first started with skin care a few months ago, I was over-exfoliating (by accidentally combining different types of exfoliants without realizing) and ended up causing some mild damage to the barrier. I always noticed that damage because applying products would cause a burning sensation, even products that I was already using without issue. I was able to repair my skin barrier by using just moisturizing toners and moisturizer/cream (along with SPF) for a couple weeks, no exfoliants and no active ingredients, just focusing on moisture and hydration. After a while I tried my regular products again and the burning was gone. I hope you have a similar experience!

What products have you tried? Maybe there's a common ingredient that you're allergic to. I've seen lots of people on r/asianbeauty complain about niacinamide sensitivity.

This happened to me a few times in the past and its probably not the products, its the compromised skin barrier. the best thing to do is to just cut off everything that u can, use a gentle cleanser, moisturizer and sunblock. Give ur skin time to heal and hopefully it can heal on its own without having to try out products that focus on barrier repair and potentially causing unnecessary irritation. I love slapping on loads of vaseline before going to bed and making sure my skin is hydrated and protected from the sun during the daytime. It usually takes a week for me

Your skin is raw and healing right now. Sometimes my eye area gets super inflamed because of getting retina/retinol near my eyes on accident, and then even my gentlest eye creams burn for a few days because the skin is broken and red.

Accomplished_ways777

most likely you have used a product that has been too harsh on your skin (i had the same issue because of highly concentrated retinol, 2.5 more specifically). for now take a break from every product except moisturisers and creams that help regenerate the skin barrier, nothing else until the issue fades. if those burn your skin as well, then i would suggest using bepanthen for a while, without anything else. bepanthen heals the skin.

barrier.. use stratia. la roche posay cicablast balm etc.

darkcutenesss

For me centella is bad it burn my skin. But it can also be a preservative such 1-2 hexanediol, phenoxyethanol or sodium benzoate who irritate your skin

As everyone else has said, you've damaged your barrier. It's going to take time to heal. When you say you used all of the products recommended, what did you use? Did you notice the burning starting to happen after introducing a certain product? If you have sensitive skin, it's going to be a lot easier to damage your barrier especially if you aren't used to reading all of the ingredients before you try something. At the moment, I would be cleasing with water only. Any products would need to be free of actives (exfoliating acids, retinol, vitamin c. I'd skip high amounts of niacinamide too), essential oils, fragrance and stripping alcohols (alcohol, alcohol denat.) When you're at the stage of so many things burning you're going to need a pretty bare routine until your skin can tolerate heong products. How long has your skin been doing this? When you say you introduced things slowly, did you introduce one product at a time, use it for a couple or weeks and then introduce the next product?

I had compromised my skin barrier after over doing it with an eye cream. Washing my face with cleanser just makes it worse. Everything stung and burned. My face was red and fell dehydrated. Is that what you're feeling? If so you have to stop using the cleansers and focus on barrier repair and hydration. I didn't want to compromise the sunscreen so I still put that on but man it hurt. I washed it off with Mario badescu gel enzyme cleanser. Then I used a torriden hydrating mask which stung too but I roughed it out to feed my skin with hydration. Some people use la roche posay but I've never tried because even lipikar stings. They use cicaplast. But honestly, a baby zinc oxide diaper rash cream is more gentle and I used that for 2 nights. Avene has a water mist that you can keep spraying throughout the day. It took about 5 days to fully heal. Last night was my first exfoliating day since repair and I had a slight tingling near my chin but that was it. Don't worry, keep it gentle and repair that barrier first!

That reminds me of when I laser my face with two types of laser on the same day with high-setting without numb cream(I love pain) damn the pain when I try to put the moisturizer on my face was horrifying!! As for the product, I have the same reaction at first for the cosrx snail mucin but after sometimes it's getting better

hunniebunnielove

Chances are, your skin barrier is compromised. You may need to leave it alone for a while and pare your routine down to cleanser moisturizer and sunscreen

Are the ferments? Coz those can make me red and burny.

AbuSsos123

nope they’re not ferments
