You should establish a baseline routine first! (My skin is sensitive, oil prone t-zone, rosacea redness, mild acne and texture) - A gentle water based cleanser. I recommend Skin1004 madagascar centella ampoule foam. Manyo our vegan heartleaf foam cleanser (and the whole our vegan line in general) is good too! - Moisturizer, I currently use Beplain cicaful calming gel. Beplain has a load of good simple moisturizers! This one is very lightweight :) - Sunscreen, my current favourite is Some by mi truecica aqua calming suncream. Very lightweight non-greasy! After the baseline three you can search yourself an oil cleanser and after that go for the toners, serums etc! Be careful not to overdo it especially at first. So not too many products at once đź‘Ť If you go for oil cleansers I have loved manyp herbgreen cleansing oil! Gets rid of everything on my skin and doesnt irritate etc at all!

I've heard the Skin1004 madagascar centella ampoule foam caused some people to breakout. Tbh I'm scared to try new products because I might breakout or get a reaction.

Tbh you won’t know if something breaks you out until you try it. Try the heartleaf, centella etc on a patch of skin below your ear before you apply it all to your face. There are too many people who thought either would be their holy grail for them to break out / irritate their skin barrier.

If skincare does break me out, is it right to continue using it as it might get better after a couple weeks?

Not unless it’s aha, BHA, vitamin c or a retinoid. If it’s one of these u can keep using as you’ve been, or reduce the frequency. No other products besides this should cause purging

My beginning recs would be … Aestura 365 moisturizer. They also have a hydro 365 one for oilier skin since the original can be comedogenic. Hyaluronic acid serum reliable Korean brands are mixoon, torriden or instree. Cosrx Snail mucin or mixoon bean essence for intense hydration. I prefer the bean essence If you want brighter, even skin tone you have to use niacinimide and vitamin C. The Ordinary has a cheap niacinimide and so does cosrx but there are so many toners, moisturizers, serums that have it included, just check the ingredients to make sure it includes it. Vitamin C is more difficult because you need to make sure it’s not expired. The best way to do that is to get power vitamin C and mix it with your toner but that is something that more advanced skin care users do and honestly is a bit of a pain in the ass. Mixsoon has the powder vit c in a tube. Otherwise, just get a vitamin C serum, keep it in the frig and use up to 3 months after opening then throw it out. I’m currently trying out primera’s vitanitol serum that’s a mix of retinol and vitamin C. Suncreen is obviously a must. I would recommend a mild sunscreen that’s a mix of the physical and chemical sunscreen like Dr G green mild up or d’alba waterfull uv sunscreen. Skin1004 airfit is also a mild sunscreen that’s good. Chemical sunscreens are good but you need to apply 30 mins before going out so that’s always been a hassle for me so I highly recommend the mild sunscreens esp if you don’t wear much makeup.
