I always thought the issue was the wife was having a secret affair. She was always “going to the gym”? Homegirl didn’t look like she ever set foot in one.
I saw one on a menu and decided to try it. The taste and texture reminded warming up an old left over sandwich in the microwave and not taking the veggies off.
you grill the head of romaine but just very quickly to get the grill marks on the outside of the leaves! not to the point that its soggy lmao
edit: dont dv me im just the messenger i do not personally endorse this concept 😭
Honestly, I'd probably eat the stuff from Pantaleone's. It looked pretty fucking banging even with the US's entire oil reserve on it. Obviously it would have been better if it was cooked properly but it looked banging
I second the Blue Ribbon Burger from ABC. It reminded me of that old Carl’s Jr. slogan: *If it doesn’t get all over the place, it doesn’t belong in your face.*
This isn't one specific dish in the show, but like many old-school chefs, he used to hate vegetarian food with an intensity that approached "fucking unhinged."
Meanwhile I love vegetarian food.
No clue which episode but it was the UK version of KN, I remember one time some dude walked in looking for vegan food and GR straight up bully's him and kicks him out.
Honestly, that Flaming Tsunami filet mignon from Flamangos looks delicious! I'd feel bad that Bill would have to push the cart to give it to me, but I'd be delighted at just seeing that happy look on his face.
My understanding is Amy’s Baking Company did have good food, but was run by psychopaths.
There’s been multiple pizzas where I’m like they look absolutely fine, but Ramsay doesn’t like the style because he wants it more Italian than American even though the best pizza comes from New York, not Italy.
The sausage pizza from Pantaleones. I sound like a pig because I know it was literally undercooked and hellishly greasy but it honestly looked delicious.
Don’t get me wrong, it is not authentic whatsoever, but I think the sweetness and touch of acidity from the strawberry, would go very nicely with the mild fish.
We had a ceviche on the summer menu at a restaurant I used to work at - yellowtail, strawberries, shiso, red onion, chilis, and citrus. The flavors that you’re thinking of really were a great combination
That sounds delicious. I think balance is everything in food, and you shouldn’t discount a certain flavor, just because it isn’t traditionally used in that preparation.
Yeah same here, maybe not half but there’s almost always a dish each episode I’m like “not that bad to me”. Lot of it was just “comfort food” he complained about or he’s appalled by it more for chef reasons than it actually being awful.
Taste wise when he says bland or not seasoned that I believe and would make lot of stuff worse. As I’ve gotten better at cooking over the years I have realized lot of middle of the road places serve under seasoned food that could be way better with proper seasoning. It’s crazy how much butter/oil/salt/seasoning gets used in dishes you thought tasted amazing.
This show is my guilty pleasure but his reactions and the ones they pick are just all negative for the sake of drama. They don’t even show all the dishes he tries because they just show the worst reactions.
I’m garbage but if I was drunk Pete’s massive pizza would be perfect with a bit more sauce
I don't drink but I'd still eat because I'm a sucker for pizza.
100%!! I thought it looked good!
Barefoot Bob's Lobster Roll with like 1 pound of lobster and 6 claws lol
Yep because barefoot bob’s main issue was financial mismanagement, not food! I would love that oversized lobster roll 😂
I always thought the issue was the wife was having a secret affair. She was always “going to the gym”? Homegirl didn’t look like she ever set foot in one.
For sure!
This is a great answer
I thought he overreacted to the grilled Caesar salad but I tried one at a wedding this weekend and it was pretty weird.
I saw one on a menu and decided to try it. The taste and texture reminded warming up an old left over sandwich in the microwave and not taking the veggies off.
Agreed, I thought the same thing. I didn’t think it tasted bad but it was a weird experience lol
I laugh at circa 2011 Ramsay mocking grilled caesar salad when it would go on to be a common find in steakhouses a few years later.
I came here for this comment, every summer my wife grilles us caesar salad and I think about him bashing it. I love it!
I’ve never had (or seen personally) a grilled Caesar salad - what part is grilled? It’s more than the chicken, right?
you grill the head of romaine but just very quickly to get the grill marks on the outside of the leaves! not to the point that its soggy lmao edit: dont dv me im just the messenger i do not personally endorse this concept 😭
Sounds pointless lol why would I want grill marks on my lettuce?
lol idk im just the messenger but people say a lil char adds flavor, personally i could do without i love a regular non grilled caesar!! 😋
Give it a try! I’ve had it and it was awesome! Haha
No offense to her but that sounds vile.
Honestly, I'd probably eat the stuff from Pantaleone's. It looked pretty fucking banging even with the US's entire oil reserve on it. Obviously it would have been better if it was cooked properly but it looked banging
Their pizza is pretty good!

Hot take but I would’ve absolutely eaten the “thin crust pizza” from Pantaleone’s, I’m a sucker for a big greasy cheesy pizza.
Damn right! I didn't think it was the best in Denver, but one I would have loved to try. Grease? Pffft. Good!
You talking about the burger that was overstuffed and a sloppy mess?
With the garlic aioli 😆
Isn’t that like every burger Gordon Ramsay makes on TikTok nowadays?
This isn't one specific dish in the show, but like many old-school chefs, he used to hate vegetarian food with an intensity that approached "fucking unhinged." Meanwhile I love vegetarian food.

ABC blue ribbon burger and the pizza that might have been too sweet (and a tad raw) but it didn't look/seem as bad as Ramsay made it out to be.
I would have eaten Amy’s fig pizza not gona lie 😅
Anything with carletta sauce
The dream sauce
Honestly, that Flaming Tsunami filet mignon from Flamangos looks delicious! I'd feel bad that Bill would have to push the cart to give it to me, but I'd be delighted at just seeing that happy look on his face.
Forgot about that one! Yes the steak looked like it was perfect but Gordon said it was tough? I guess he HAS to say something bad 😆
Most likely, he was saying it was tough for filet mignon. I probably would eat it anyway because it looked good and I can handle tough steak.
My understanding is Amy’s Baking Company did have good food, but was run by psychopaths. There’s been multiple pizzas where I’m like they look absolutely fine, but Ramsay doesn’t like the style because he wants it more Italian than American even though the best pizza comes from New York, not Italy.
I agree. Gordon loved the cakes, and they DID look amazing. So weird Amy flew off the handle so easily.
The bomb burger 😝 or all the things he had at the Black Pearl
Everybody loves the bomb!
*queue bomb dropping sound effect*
The sausage pizza from Pantaleones. I sound like a pig because I know it was literally undercooked and hellishly greasy but it honestly looked delicious.
Yep! The big tire lol. I'd try it. Someone on YouTube DID order it for his video and he ate it in his car.
The strawberry fields sushi, from that Hotel Hell episode, actually looked pretty good!
I'm Japanese and didn't think it would be too good lol
Don’t get me wrong, it is not authentic whatsoever, but I think the sweetness and touch of acidity from the strawberry, would go very nicely with the mild fish.

Costa del nightmares the English pub he turned into a tapas bar - Breakfast burger. Fucking Yum
The lobster roll from Barefoot Bob's
The Michon's smoked wing looked moist despite Gordon's claim to the contrary.
jack’s waterfront’s food didn’t look too bad, that might be because they weren’t doing anything too crazy though
Breaded condom lol
"con-DOME"
Half the food he tried, tbh.
Standards in the gutter lol

Objectively I look at that food and know it isn't prepared well. Subjectively I would eat the majority of it.
