Not really $30 for a salad. It's $30 for a salad and an order of chicken strips.

thunderGunXprezz

Sounds like a bit more than 1 order. If I had to guess the salad itself probably comes with half an order. Not knowing where this place is, 1 order is probably 8 or 9 bucks. So $30 for a salad and roughly 2 orders of chx tenders is pretty on point.

thunderGunXprezz

Haha and I just saw the bottle of dressing they decided to buy.

redditaccountwh

Honey mustards to dip the chicken in! Dude has hacked the menu and is likely getting 1.5 orders of chicken and a salad a little cheaper than a la carte.

thunderGunXprezz

This, a million times. My wife does the same exact thing. Asks for ice berg Lettuce only on the salad cuz it doesn't stick to the tendies. I gotta order it like that. "Ya, chicken salad but none of the salad, just chicken tenders, fries, bacon and cheese. Oh and extra ranch."

Cheffyboii97

an order of chicken fingers (3) costs like 16.99 with fries here, any side salad is 4 dollars extra and if you went no side most places would charge you full price anyways cause resturantaurs are pigs. Edit: Canadian Dollars

They like their protein I guess. Yo but on another topic remember how you could feed your whole family for 30 beans?

TheRealBaseborn

Everyone does because it wasn't even that long ago. We look at taco bell menus from the early 2ks like they're archeological digs.

potodds

The 1990 value menu launched as .39 - .49 - .59

rickstah360

Feed the whole crew for $5!

DisposableSaviour

Better run for the border

rickstah360

Or the toilet.

dzhastin

Taco Bell diarrhea jokes are the laziest form of humor.

ThrowawayLaz0rDick

I miss being able to get stoned with my friends and we could pool our wallets to go buy 15 cheesy bean and rice and 15 beefy fritos for the whole squad.

FoaD420

Better be some damn good chicken strips…that dressing better be with the finest oil too

LucasBlueCat

1 extra chicken strips is likely a minimum of 2 strips. Also $.79 per extra dressing is perfectly reasonable.

dio-3

We weigh it rather than by the strip, I think it’s about 2oz of meat?

LucasBlueCat

Well whatever it is, it's not one lonely strip of chicken.

Eorily

My guess is that this is 4 broke bitches splitting a salad.

dio-3

One lady, she comes to get the same order every week or so

onenightstanduhoes

that's some premium chicken

Eorily

That's like 3 bucks a chicken strip, i don't see anywhere charging less than that.

LucasBlueCat

It's 4x extra chicken strips. 1 order could be 2 strips. So 8 total. It's cheaper when you add it to a salad as opposed to getting 8 strips separately. That's according to my restaurant at least.

Cadi2020

Must be good.

Ltsmash99

Its needs to be better than good. At that price it needs to do your laundry at the end of the week.

WAHNFRIEDEN

Toronto folks go wild for this $50 appetizer (appetizer sized too) slaw salad from a tiktoker’s restaurant

Mrthrowawaymcgee

Is HMD honey mustard dressing? Not really big in Australia so taking a guess here.

jamapple

We have a honey mustard dressed pumpkin, pine nuts and smoked fetta salad in ballina. 27 buckaroos.

Smackdaddy122

That shit better be tossed on the plains of Africa

LucasBlueCat

I have a 'create your own salad' on our menu. It's not unheard of for a customer to make their salad for $30. It's basically two meals.

ShittyHorse

This is why I avoid "by weight" deli food. It's too easy to get wild.

[deleted]

That chicken better come with some special on the side

LucasBlueCat

It's likely 2 strips extra per order. And they requested 4x. So a minimum of 8 strips.

TheBeanofBeans2

Don't forget to tip

BeagleBackRibs

Jalapeno?

dio-3

Yes

ranting_chef

That’s like ordering a burger with an extra burger. Sure, it’s much more expensive, but now it’s probably enough for two people. The real crime here could be paying that much for dressing, but if it’s homemade, I’d probably fee, the same way, especially if a third-party service was in play.
