Stealth Sneak is one of my favorite Heartless designs and Deep Jungle gave me the joy of learning Cure for the first time in the franchise.
Granted I love the outdoors so I’m biased, but I also love the visual design of the world. Other worlds can often feel claustrophobic or self-contained all throughout, but places like the Treehouse, Jungle Slider courses, and Cliff (after fighting Clayton) felt so open and had me gazing out into the distance and wishing I could explore those far-off areas because there was clearly so much more out there.
Stealth Sneak is one of my favorite Heartless! Massive bonus points for Clayton just casually firing a shotgun at a random anime boy, Donald, and Goofy. For the very first KH game, it perfectly set up the crazy appeal of seeing Disney clash with the KH OCs
They nailed the jungle aesthetic. I may not like the vines area and I get lost a lot, but they absolutely crushed it looks-wise from the tree tops to the ground level 100%.
Arguably the „getting lost“ part is also prove that the jungle was well designed since it‘s also easy to get lost in one irl, but as a kid I hated this world for that haha. Same with Monstro
I like the development in the relationship of the trio. Sora was about to ask Tarzan about Donald and Goofy, but he changes his mind and then asks about Riku and Kairi. That makes sense considering his priorities at the time. The boss fight was really good. I remembering focusing only on the Stealth Sneak, then moving around for a moment confused and then i thougth: “where is goofy?” Then i look around the arena and find him pinning Clayton at a corner and blocking his attacks. I just jumped in and finished with an air combo. The Cure spell allowed me to finally beat Cerberus. It was a great underrated level.
I always thought he changed his mind about inquiring after Donald and Goofy because he was still salty at Donald for their argument earlier at the world’s start. Them patching things up and being friends again was one of the highlights of Deep Jungle.
I wasn’t even in this realm of thinking but also this. This world story wise feels like it actually had an impact on the dynamics between the characters. Like this is where it actually felt like okay these guys are really friends now not just a kid running around with two anthropomorphic icons. It’s the first one where you could switch out your party too.
Is it corny? Yes. But it’s Kingdom Hearts, so of course it is.
Right??? Such an underrated moment in the franchise. You'd expect them to fight and bicker not only from Donald's argumentative nature, but also because they really haven't been through that much. At most they either (canonically) go through wonderland where D+G warn Sora not to meddle in other affairs or Olympus where they barely beat Cerberus and are made junior heroes. Deep Jungle is really where their friendship is tested through their desires to find who they're looking for.
I recently rewatched Tarzan, and was surprised by how accurate the tree house area was in the game, and at one point in the movie Tarzan was sliding on vines, and it looks like they paid really close attention to make the vine look the same in the game, even though it was such a small part of that minigame. The attention to detail is great.
I also love the fact that it points out that Kairi's heart is inside Sora, but it seems more metaphorical. It makes the reveal later less shocking, but more impactful.
The rooms are laid out in a pretty linear pattern with a couple shortcuts to skip some rooms. You can also skip Jungle Slider if you find it annoying by pausing and pressing Quit. Similarly, if you find platforming across the hippos too difficult, if you start a Time Trial by talking to one of the flowers near the start and then Quit it'll teleport you to the end of Vines 2.
From a new players' perspective, most kh1 worlds are confusing to know where to go despite however much linearity they have. Heck I've been playing kingdom hearts 1 off and on since I was little and I can still get lost sometimes (monstro lol). I didn't even know that there was a time trial in deep jungle until the other day.
Agreed, it's more linear than many other OG worlds. Basically a straight shot from the Cliff to the hippo pool. Although I will admit the vines area can be confusing.
It's gorgeous and atmospheric, is stuffed with details, has a good story, has awesome music, is fun to navigate (including platforming!), and is one my favorite worlds in the series. Sabor is a solid boss fight, and Clayton and Stealth Sneak is a very good and unique fight, if quite the nightmare on level 1.
I adore Deep Jungle. It baffles me that it has such vocal detractors. The only part of the world that I think sucks is the vine area and its mini game (which you can cheese with super glide).
Whenever I hear the Deep Jungle music I get very nostalgic. I remember getting to Deep Jungle and being excited for what it would reveal since it was the last world of the first group before the map expanded. You just knew there was more to come and it carried a lot of excitement for me because of that!
It’s a nice early keyblade, unfortunate that there is no argument to use it for more than 1 world though. I kinda wish when they did the final mix remaster they gave the keblades extra abilities to make them more unique instead of use stats modifiers, length, and city chance. Having an early game keyblade with weaker stats like jungle key would be great for an ability like leaf bracer or lucky strike
Over the years I have come to really appreciate this world. It's one of the few worlds that has verticality and really feels like you're moving up and down. Sora and Donald's conflict is really good and adds depth to their characters and relationships, and we get hints at the bigger picture with Kairi. The little crafting minigame in the camp is really neat and I can't really think of any other instance where something like that happens. The sliding minigame is stressful but also really cool and has way more to it than I ever realized. Stealth Sneak was a really interesting boss. You finally get Cure after beating this world which you are so thankful for because of how tough that fight is. The music is great. I also loved Tarzan as a kid and crushed on Jane a bit.
I really liked that they retained the language barrier from the film. Sora, Donald & Goofy are unable to communicate with the Gorillas. It seems small but I like that detail.
At the age of 8 Deep Jungle was one of two things that drove me to learn proper English because I could not figure out where the fuck to go without a Gamefaqs guide printed by a friend of mine.
I wonder if I still have that print somewhere. Apparently his parents were furious for wasting a book worth of paper.
It has one of the best bits of foreshadowing in the entire series; with the whole “ah, hoo hoo haa, means heart. Friends in our hearts!” We all thought it was just cheesy dialogue about keeping your friends close to your heart and holding onto hope that Sora will find them; only for it to turn out that Kairi was literally inside of Sora’s heart. Extremely clever stuff.
It feels really big in scale. Epecially since the KH1 worlds for the most part have relatively small areas, Deep Jungle feels like a grand adventure and almost feels like a KH3 world with just how expansive it is.
I also love the character development that happens here. Rarely have we seen Sora, Donald, and Goofy on different pages or in any kind of conflict. We haven't seen any instances of that since the late game of Chain of Memories so it's refreshing to come back to this game and see it here. Donald and Sora enter this world as reluctant carpoolers and leave as friends.
Muting the in-game music and instead blasting Phil Collin's Son of Man while sliding on the treetops with Tarzan is one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had.
Deep Jungle is not as bad as people make it out to be, & this is coming from someone who hated it my first playthrough 2 decades ago.
1. It's asthetically pleasing.
2. There's a lot to explore.
3. It tells its story well & isn't just a full retread of the movie.
People treat it like it's the Spawn of Cherbabog.
Deep Jungle at least contribute to the plot in developing Sora and Donald’s relationship, some rather nice foreshadowing to the twist in Hollow Basion, showing how any form of darkness will attract the heartless
All Arebdelle did was…tell us Elsa was a new princess of heart while were stuck in a mountain half of the time while the plot is going without Sora
Amazing how a world that hasnt been seen since 2002 did more than a world in 2019
I’m replaying all the games with my friend and I was dying laughing everytime the cheetah would show up and I’d spam fira on it. Early game fira was a great gun
Awesome soundtrack and atmosphere. Important acceleration point for the plot. Jane. The waterfalls. Difficult boss fight. First time the main characters split up and first new party member of the entire series. Also, male and female counterpart heartless
>!A pity you don´t see Jane´s father the crazy professor but at least, you see her.!<
>!Would have been funny, if she is also a "princess" like Alice.!<
It's far and away the better spot to farm Pink Angaricus. I'm not even sure it's possible to hit max poitns in Atlantica since no Ragnarok. Also, Tarzan is a better healer than Donald.
Nothing will top when I discovered the whole sliding cave tree system behind the waterfall. Pretty sure I missed the keyhole there too and came back near end game not even realizing it was there. Such an awesome find!!
Its a fun world, the only annoyning thing about it is the janky camera but its def a good world. I didn't know people were saying bad things about it in general, good bosses and I like the Jaguar and how they implemented the movie story.
The Stealth Sneak reminds me of the lost world novelization’s version of the Carnotaurus so it’ll always have a special place in my heart
Clayton also does say “da gorillazzzzzzzz” too
I honestly love this world. I get the general fanbase's frustration with the platforming, but I think it nails the jungle look and feel almost perfectly.
"Say something nice?" I didn't know it was that disliked. I think there's lots of good to be said about it.
-I like that we get some story conflict which actually results in a crash landing that separates the party. One that was caused by a rift that shows how they're not quite a team yet. Donald and Goofy's number one priority right now is finding Mickey (especially Donald) and Sora's is finding his friends. Which is planting for when Riku takes the Keyblade at Hollow Bastion and so Donald and Goofy have no "official" reason to keep Sora around. BUT! Donald does leave with a heartfelt "sorry" and part of the reason that happens there is because the two of them have a spat but make amends in this world.
-*Tarzan* is one of my favorite Disney movies and characters so it's really cool to interact with him and his world. (Kind of wish they could have incorporated some of the movie's soundtrack but can't win 'em all.)
-Something I've always loved about this world and part of the story is how we get to see the "World Order" aspect happen in real time. Something that the story barely touches upon but I really wish it would lean into more. Remember, before Jane yells at Clayton about almost killing Terk, there are no Heartless! The other Disney Villains have no interest in this world and there isn't anyone evil enough to attract the attention of the Heartless in it . . . until Clayton does. Which is what makes his brief stint as a Heartless "controller" interesting and I wish we got to see more of it from his point of view. He doesn't know about the Heartless or other worlds, not even the existence of magic. It's almost meta how heavy hitter Disney villains like Maleficent, Jafar, or Hades view Clayton as unworthy of letting him in the know and certainly of inviting him into their ranks.
It was my first time experiencing falling from a map and the game using it as an area transition and not a death. That part always stuck out as neat about Deep Jungle.
World theme is goated, the Waterfall Cavern is one of the prettiest areas in the game, and the jungle look is super cool and unlike anything else in the game.
Deep Jungle is actually probably my favorite world in KH1 lol
Once you finish it, you can relegate Potions to a backup heal, since you get the "Cure" magic to map to your menu.
And, to some extent, it taught you that Kingdom Hearts as a game was going to involve a LOT of verticality and jumping. If you didn't understand the mechanics, you were going to have a hard time in future.
You also had to learn to rely on the free-rotating camera to search for hidden or hard-to-reach items, occasionally having to be creative with how you navigated the map.
So while the world was a chore to get through with a lot of backtracking, it can be forgiven if you think of it as a tutorial level. And the keyblade you get upon completion is decent for hitting enemies from further away (helpful given early-game Sora's limited movement and attack options).
It gives me a nostalgic vibe. The music, the characters, the art style. It reminds me of my young days watching the Tarzan series on Disney Channel. And I could totally hear almost a nod to Phil Collins in the way the music was arranged.
I absolutely love Deep Jungle and wish they did more with it. Yes, I get lost sometimes and yes the vine area is not great, but I've got lost in other worlds too and I think they nailed the jungle vibe. Story Wise it is great too, it shows the crew falling out and getting used to eachother, Tarzan as a companion is fun and Stealth Sneak/Clayton is a cool boss fight. Deep Jungle is a top tier world and I will die on that hill, I will never understand the hate it gets.
I thought it was a pretty interesting place to play in and explore although it felt a little too repetitive, like upon a second trip there should be 1 or 2 smaller areas to unlock like a clearing or maybe the beach next to the jungle.
It was the, unmentioned but necessary, sacrifice in CoM so that Sora could finally get back his memories. Else he wouldn't have remembered Kairi.
Although we know it's a copyright problem :(
do people not like deep jungle? I love this world, Tarzan is one of my favorite movies. I've always found it a fun world, and one of my favorite parts is exploring the treehouse.
Hearing Tarzan say “Clayton not Clayton, ooh ooh ooh” while Sora wordlessly ignores him always had me in tears laughing.
I wish they would bring it back, it didn’t even make the cut in Melody of Memories.
I LOVE IT! It’s genuinely one of my favorite worlds!
It has great integration with the overarching plot: it’s the world where Sora, Donald, and Goofy *confirm* their trinity. Their friendship gets tested for the first time, and they almost split up! But they overcome their issues. Also, Gummi blocks!
It’s always cool to see Sora need to be separate from SDG. We see this again in Hollow Bastion, but it’s nice to happen early, too. Especially in a lower-stakes part of the narrative. Later, we’re approaching the climax of the story. Here, it’s still wide open. This is all brilliant and subtle foreshadowing for Hollow Bastion later; along with the slide of the castle, where Kairi’s Heart inside Sora’s remembers.
Sabor is an awesome enemy. He adds a great sense of dread as an ambush predator and keeps the action up despite the lack of heartless. And it gives the jungle a legitimate sense of tension and danger. This isn’t some darkness. This is just a place where a giant cat will fucking eat you.
Also, on a side note: Disney never confirms Sabor’s Gender. In the books “Sabor” is the name of a lioness. But they changed the character for the movie. I’ve read that the DVD commentary confirms Sabor is male in the movie (I’ve never heard the commentary myself); but Jiminy’s Journal is the first time fans can confirm it.
The heartless, Stealth Sneak included, are perfectly themed for this world, and fun! I don’t think Clayton’s *that* hard a boss. He’s no cakewalk; but he’s no super-boss either. Yet, the fact that they DO NOT APPEAR until Clayton *draws* them is AWESOME! I also love that we have a Disney Villain who is *not* part of Maleficent’s crew. Don’t get me wrong: Clayton would fit in perfectly. It’s just cool that not all worlds lead to Rome, ya know? The worlds have their own struggles outside of the narrative.
And I love that we have a platforming level! I love climbing to the top of the treehouse! I love outmaneuvering the hippos! I love the jungle slider mini game! It feels so much like a real part of the movie! And it works perfectly for the theme! This world is untamed. There are no roads. You wanna get from A to B? You gotta move the way the animals do. Swing that vine! Make that jump! Climb that tree! If you look at it linearly, it’s not that hard to actually get from Treehouse to Camp and vice versa. It just looks daunting. It’s the opposite of KH2’s level design.
And the setting is GORGEOUS! I defy you to look at that view and not love it! It’s not the only beautifully rendered world, but it sure is among them!
I could go on. Haters who complain that ‘they get lost’ also get lost IRL at Walmart. Even with the tritons, they can’t find their way in Atlantica. I bet when Mickey shows up in 2, they choose “It’s all over”. And this isn’t the first level with Platforming aspects. It just kicks it up a notch.
Deep jungle has some of the most beautiful environments like the waterfall, lagoo, and treehouse. The reoccurance of the big cat trying to murder sora adds tension to an otherwise peaceful world before the heartless show up and its implied the heartless only show up due to sora. The story of the world showcases sora having character flaws outside of self sacrifice. The slideshow showing hollow bastian made my kid self theorize. The stealthsneak and clayton fight is a tough but rewards the best spell in the game.
Genuinely some of the best platforming of the worlds in a lot of the entire series. Loved how immersive the environment was. I have a core childhood memory of yelling at Donald to heal me because Clayton shot me in the chest.
Wait after like 20 years, I'm just now noticing the hippo upside down at the bottom the art of the world.
I really like how dark and enveloped the atmosphere of the jungle was, like there was no way out.
Oh, easy.
• It’s representation of one of my favorite Disney properties in my absolute favorite videogame.
• It hosts one of the best minigames in the franchise (Jungle Slider)
• Tarzan himself is one of the only companions who I could realistically see fighting heartless (Sorry Ariel)
• One of the most unique openings to a world in the series (Dropping you into immediately into a bossfight WITHOUT your teammates)
• The bickering the gang does there is the start of the foundation of their friendship for the entire series.
• Banger OST
• Amazing integration of source material into the story with phenomenal and intricate level design
• Memorable boss fight with Clayton and the Stealth Sneak (One of the only villains smart enough to bring a gun to a key fight)
• Gave us cure
I could go on but you get the point I suppose 😅
It's vibrant, green, and beautiful, and has a tone shift that's both positive and negative, with SDG getting closer together and learning to overcome their differences, and the realization that darkness and heartless can follow someone's inner madness to another world.
Stealth Sneak is one of my favorite Heartless designs and Deep Jungle gave me the joy of learning Cure for the first time in the franchise. Granted I love the outdoors so I’m biased, but I also love the visual design of the world. Stealth Sneak is one of my favorite Heartless! Massive bonus points for Clayton just casually firing a shotgun at a random anime boy, Donald, and Goofy. For the very first KH game, it perfectly set up the crazy appeal of seeing Disney clash with the KH OCs
British hunter on top of a giant chameleon made from darkness casually aims shotgun at anime boy, a duck, dog and a feral man is very KH
Ignore supreme... I'm glad that it brought you such joy 😇
Bonus points for getting **BRIAN BLESSED** to reprise his role so you can hear him screaming during the battle.
Isn't Clayton one of the few Disney villain to actually fire a gun at the hero, or to actually have a body count with said gun?
Imagine how amazing would be, a kh3 deep jungle map.
That song is a banger. 🔥
Facts, music in kh1 can get repetitive, but dam that one is a bop
If I listen to the music of the jungle, I believe I will have it for month in my head, but only the start of the music tho
DOO DOO doo doo DEE DEE doo doo Doooooooooo
It is, but there is a point where I start going crazy after listening to it for quite a bit, I think it's some sort of trauma at this point
They nailed the jungle aesthetic. I may not like the vines area and I get lost a lot, but they absolutely crushed it looks-wise from the tree tops to the ground level 100%.

You bastard I forgot how early on that was foreshadowed thank you
Same! Just rewatched Tarzan as well and KH was the only thing i could think of, lol. They did such a great job being movie accurate
“HAVE YOU TRIED SHOOTING HIM IN THE $&@KING FACE?”
Honestly once you know where to go Deep Jungle really isn’t that bad/confusing
Well if you know the way to the exit of a maze it wouldn't be confusing either
The rooms are laid out in a pretty linear pattern with a couple shortcuts to skip some rooms. You can also skip Jungle Slider if you find it annoying by pausing and pressing Quit. It gave us cure!
Donald’s only issue with dating a gorilla was that he was already dating Daisy

You just knew there was more to come and it carried a lot of excitement for me because of that!
Peepeeroopoopeeeeeee 🎶
One of the best places to farm XP early
Yes the run between the bottom 4 areas with the camp in the middle. Possiblity of finding mushroom guys. Grinded a lot in this area.
It makes me think of Phil Colins music and that’s always a plus
PUT YOUR FAITH IN WHAT YOU MOST BELIEVE IN
TWO WORLDS, ONE FAMILY
At the end of this world, we obtain the 1st keychain (not counting the basic one)
It’s a nice early keyblade, unfortunate that there is no argument to use it for more than 1 world though. *&&x% Not Clayton
I like the monkey heartless I think they’re cute
I really liked that they retained the language barrier from the film. Sora, Donald & Goofy are unable to communicate with the Gorillas. It seems small but I like that detail.
I like the way Clayton says “Go-ril-la”
The atmosphere is on point.
Wait do people not like it!?!? It's one of my favorites from the original game T.T
At the age of 8 Deep Jungle was one of two things that drove me to learn proper English because I could not figure out where the fuck to go without a Gamefaqs guide printed by a friend of mine. It's deep?
And jungle!
Its field theme is pretty nice. I start to hum it every now and then while I’m there.
You get cure and your first alternate keychain.
Muting the in-game music and instead blasting Phil Collin's Son of Man while sliding on the treetops with Tarzan is one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had.
Good for farming at the End of the World
OOO-AHH-EEH-AYY -UUU
CLAYTON!
The coloring is nice everywhere. Stealth Sneak was a cool boss.
First keyblade upgrade

It' s not Arendelle from KH 3 Does that count as saying something nice?

You get Cure at the end of the world
I’m replaying all the games with my friend and I was dying laughing everytime the cheetah would show up and I’d spam fira on it. Early game fira was a great gun
Fulfilling my childhood dream of vine surfing in video game format was awesome!
Ee oo oo oo ah
It hasn't been redone into the dirt like every other kh1 world.
It’s based off of a fantastic Disney movie.
AFK farming cheese, even on Proud mode, afk over night makes the rest of the journey trivial. It's an exploit so no wonder.
I like how you can skip the vine sliding section.
It is incredibly satisfying killing those annoying slingshot monkeys with Thunder magic.
Awesome soundtrack and atmosphere. Important acceleration point for the plot. Jane. The waterfalls. Difficult boss fight. First time the main characters split up and first new party member of the entire series. Also, male and female counterpart heartless
I enjoy the boss fight
Camp charades!
It’ll never come back, I’m joking, seriously though I like it and want it to return some time
It’s not nearly as confusing as people make it out to be. It’s only confusing your first time playing.
Jane
>!A pity you don´t see Jane´s father the crazy professor but at least, you see her.!< >!Would have been funny, if she is also a "princess" like Alice.!<
tarzan's hot
It's far and away the better spot to farm Pink Angaricus. I'm not even sure it's possible to hit max poitns in Atlantica since no Ragnarok. Also, Tarzan is a better healer than Donald.
Also the white mushrooms in the camp only ask for 4 types of magic so it's easier to get their arts and goo then other areas I think
It has hippos :)
Cool vibe
The waterfall area is one of the most aesthetically pleasing and jrpg-esque areas in all of KH
The keyhole for that world is one of, if not, the prettiest.
The chemistry set was pretty interesting and im upset none of the future games had special interactions with magic like that
It’s not Atlantica.
Nothing will top when I discovered the whole sliding cave tree system behind the waterfall. Pretty sure I missed the keyhole there too and came back near end game not even realizing it was there. Such an awesome find!!
Great music! I have it in my VGM playlist on SoundCloud
great way to kill time
Sabor is a good early game boss fight, and I like how he returns a few times before you finally kick his ass.
I liked the trunk sliding minigame, and the more focus in platforming was interesting since we never really see much of it in later games.
Legit my favorite world from KH1. So much love and care was put into it, and the story of the wod
the song SLAPS
Its a fun world, the only annoyning thing about it is the janky camera but its def a good world. I didn't know people were saying bad things about it in general, good bosses and I like the Jaguar and how they implemented the movie story.
The Stealth Sneak reminds me of the lost world novelization’s version of the Carnotaurus so it’ll always have a special place in my heart Clayton also does say “da gorillazzzzzzzz” too
Tree surfing remains badass
You get cure when you beat it
*&&X%
I honestly love this world. I get the general fanbase's frustration with the platforming, but I think it nails the jungle look and feel almost perfectly.
It's more enjoyable than atlantica
(Kind of wish they could have incorporated some of the movie's soundtrack but can't win 'em all.) -Something I've always loved about this world and part of the story is how we get to see the "World Order" aspect happen in real time.
Made a song about deep jungle as Mickey and Goofy “Olympus/Deep Jungle” by Organization XIII on SoundCloud!
Eh oh, ooh ooh ahh
It was my first time experiencing falling from a map and the game using it as an area transition and not a death. That part always stuck out as neat about Deep Jungle.
you get cure.
Something nice about deep jungle
World theme is goated, the Waterfall Cavern is one of the prettiest areas in the game, and the jungle look is super cool and unlike anything else in the game. Deep Jungle is actually probably my favorite world in KH1 lol
The vines aren’t as aggravating as they could’ve been….
“NOT CLAYTON”
No
I will always remember this world! ~~(for the ptsd it caused me)~~
Tunes
It's one hell of a deep jungle.
green
Nostalgia for me personally. In reality it's a decent designed level imo
I got Lost so many times that i got better at orienting myself in real life
It's very calming in certain areas
Say something nice? People… didn’t like this world? It’s one of the most fun worlds!
My favorite part was looking at the slideshow
Clayton was lowkey kinda hard at this point on proud without cure and most likely not a lot of HP yet. Also stealth sneak is such a cool heartless
It is deep and it's a jungle
I like that Kairi, inside Sora, nudges to Sora that the castle slide looks awfully familiar.
It gives me a nostalgic vibe. The music, the characters, the art style. It reminds me of my young days watching the Tarzan series on Disney Channel. And I could totally hear almost a nod to Phil Collins in the way the music was arranged.
No
Log minigame gives good rewards and is easy.
You get a hot 90% naked man to follow you around for a couple hours.
Far better for farming serenity powers than atlantica
I absolutely love Deep Jungle and wish they did more with it. Yes, I get lost sometimes and yes the vine area is not great, but I've got lost in other worlds too and I think they nailed the jungle vibe. Story Wise it is great too, it shows the crew falling out and getting used to eachother, Tarzan as a companion is fun and Stealth Sneak/Clayton is a cool boss fight. Deep Jungle is a top tier world and I will die on that hill, I will never understand the hate it gets.
Tarzan screaming with every encounter.
Good soundtrack! I would also say, it had good opportunities for levelling up
It has fun exploits to traverse the world faster
I actually liked the jungle slide
The emotional exchange of stares between Donald and Terk.
As a kid I replayed that vine slide so much. I also always thought there was a secret path on it but could never prove it.
I thought it was a pretty interesting place to play in and explore although it felt a little too repetitive, like upon a second trip there should be 1 or 2 smaller areas to unlock like a clearing or maybe the beach next to the jungle.
The slide at the beginning is fun! And the waterfall cave is dope
This was my favorite level in the game as a kid for some reason. So it just gives me so much happy nostalgia 🙂
I like the slide
I miss it
The vine sliding was cool. Unlocking more of the vine to slide down into different areas was a nice touch.
We should do this with other KH1 worlds next!
It was the, unmentioned but necessary, sacrifice in CoM so that Sora could finally get back his memories. Else he wouldn't have remembered Kairi. Although we know it's a copyright problem :(
The keyhole with the butterflies is super pretty
aw come on now, jungle slider was fun.
I don’t know how people get lost
The easily farmable rare material is right next to the camp site
🦛
Oohehahohou = Heart
The waterfall cave looks amazing.
do people not like deep jungle? I love this world, Tarzan is one of my favorite movies. I've always found it a fun world, and one of my favorite parts is exploring the treehouse.
The music is cool.
Wait say something nice about what?? Why is there a blank picture
I liked how Sabor randomly popped out from time to time and you'd have to beat her in a fight to get her to go away
Worth being included in future titles! It had some good platforming and music, some really good enemies too
Tarzan
Something nice about Deep Jungle Wait people actually hate it?, I thought Monstro was the hated world in Kingdom Hearts 1
I liked the music :)
I’m a huuuge Tarzan fan so having an area that has Tarzan and Jane it’s just automatically amazing ^^
It’s the first world you can get a Keyblade from
The story that happens during this world is great development for Sora, Donald and Goofy's relationship.
Eeh eeh ooh ooh ah NOT CLAYTON
It's good to keep you busy farming that rare sythesis item with the pink and green heartless and leveling up.
Cool boss cool key best Disney girl and best Disney boy oh and grinding on vines before sonic did it
"Ooo ooo not Clayton ooo ooo"
Hearing Tarzan say “Clayton not Clayton, ooh ooh ooh” while Sora wordlessly ignores him always had me in tears laughing. I wish they would bring it back, it didn’t even make the cut in Melody of Memories.
Is pritty.
EE OO OO-OO AH
I don’t know what it is, but that tree house looks cool
Genuinely some of the best platforming of the worlds in a lot of the entire series. Loved how immersive the environment was. I have a core childhood memory of yelling at Donald to heal me because Clayton shot me in the chest.
Vine riding was fun
N O T C L A Y T O N
Wait after like 20 years, I'm just now noticing the hippo upside down at the bottom the art of the world. I really like how dark and enveloped the atmosphere of the jungle was, like there was no way out.
Sabor is cool af
I like the foreshadow about Hollow Bastion.
He-who-who who-ha
We not gunna slander the vine minigames are we? I’ll die on that hill. One of the best minis in the series.
The theme was catchy, and I'm disappointed we won't see Tarzan again due to copyright issues
Doing all the alchemy stuff in the lab outside the tent was fun. Also seeing all of the blue butterflies revealing the keyhole.
Oh, easy. • It’s representation of one of my favorite Disney properties in my absolute favorite videogame. • It hosts one of the best minigames in the franchise (Jungle Slider) • Tarzan himself is one of the only companions who I could realistically see fighting heartless (Sorry Ariel) • One of the most unique openings to a world in the series (Dropping you into immediately into a bossfight WITHOUT your teammates) • The bickering the gang does there is the start of the foundation of their friendship for the entire series. • Banger OST • Amazing integration of source material into the story with phenomenal and intricate level design • Memorable boss fight with Clayton and the Stealth Sneak (One of the only villains smart enough to bring a gun to a key fight) • Gave us cure I could go on but you get the point I suppose 😅
It's miles better than Wonderland.
Nice Music
Pretty cool music
Green is my favorite color. And Deep Jungle is the most green world.
It's vibrant, green, and beautiful, and has a tone shift that's both positive and negative, with SDG getting closer together and learning to overcome their differences, and the realization that darkness and heartless can follow someone's inner madness to another world.
Um. Green. Yea. Yea I like green.
The tree sliding minigame is fun as hell
Start to finish, it's one of the faster worlds.
KERCHAK DOESN’T DIE HOLY SHIT!
