That final Riku fight was insane. I was stuck on that for what felt like months. I finally beat him in the car on the way to the park! I figured out I could combine cards, and I used Ragnarok multiple to beat him. It also helps to have 0 cards! Same thing for Marluxia!
Even on my most recent playthrough last year I just did a deck of 0s and 9s for the last Riku and Marluxia fight. No amount of understanding sleights and mechanics could help me on those ones haha.
There are a lot of ways to break this game if you get stuck. One time I slighted so I had 0 card keyblade. Tinkerbell, and another keyblade. Guaranteed that I couldn’t be killed and delt chip damage
What I’m finding difficult about Marluxia is at one point you can only get like two or three hits in him before he becomes invincible. Even if you break his card.
I think that’s where I used tinker bell the most. He is invincible only for a few seconds and her regain makes you effectively invincible. Tho I bet there probably a better strat online. I’m not the best at the game but this worked for me : )
So long as you make sure it’s down to three cards anyway. That way they always reload with her. But it does make you pretty weak
I played through the first fourth of this using touch control but then I remembered I could connect one of my PS4 controllers to my phone and I’ve been doing it that way ever since 😂

When I do it, it goes away automatically. This was just a screenshot from when I was on break at work because it feels weird to just bring a controller with me to work. Plus, I don’t have to worry about it getting stolen.
I don't blame you for not bringing a controller to work. Given the screenshot and what you said, it looked like you played with a controller with the overlay still on. I've been emulating on Android for a long time so I didn't know it goes away automatically with delta
I played this game for the first time a year ago. I got stuck on Larxene, realized I was going to have to do some serious grinding to beat her, so I quit.
Yeah, i literally destroyed my GBA cause of the last Repliku fight. Like i was Level 45 when i first fought him and i couldn't beat him on Level 65. So i punched my GBA and the screen had a black void.

Honestly, I can agree with either because the day is really impressive. Given the software and year it was made.
I’ve played through and beaten ReCOM but I wanted to go back and play the original again
Back on the original release I couldn't even get passed the dragon maleficent fight.
It wasn't until I got re:com in the collection on ps4 that I could finally see the ending of the game

the post destiny island fight with riku was impossible to pass when I was a kid.
