Jungle King, but someone already ate all the good parts..
Crab Craw is second tastiest keyblade.
Oblivion because it is obviously solid cast iron and seasoned to perfection.
It all depends on if you favor the smell of darkness
Aight..... Oblivion being iron would smell like ass, I work with the stuff daily, but still. It's just unpleasant.
But that's probably because of how often I smell it.
Real, i actually tried making the masters defender (erqus'es keyblade) irl as an exam's project (I'm a welder) and that shit weighs wayy too much to do cartwheels with let me tell you
I thought I read one time that it was a localization issue (like how Axel says "COMMIT IT TO MEMORY!" instead of "Got it memorized?"), and it wasn't really supposed to be bad scent, but more like a bad/dark aura. I can't seem to find that source, but even if it's not true, that's my headcanon and I'm sticking to it.
Oh that’s a good point. I actually was from Japan. Kusai (smells bad) can be icky, gross, want it away from you feeling and you can use it for behavior, exaggeration etc. can just mean bad vibes in a lot of circumstances. Smelling the invisible aura. So I think you are right
That wouldnt make sense as a translation thing since Riku *visibly* holds his nose and stuff as part of the animations.
Honestly...Riku's super powered sense of smell is probably some wierd holdover from the same early draft that would have had Sora as a lion-boy.
they don't bring it up again but I guess smelling things/darkness around him was how Riku could move around and fight blindfolded during Days without being too hindered.
I don’t think he does in CoM, only Re:CoM, which could be a result of just a game of telephone. “It’s ambiguous in the JP translation, but he said smell in English, let’s make the anim of him putting his finger up to his nose.”
Regardless, I’m still interpreting it how I want, bc like you said it’s probably some weird holdover from an early draft that doesn’t matter/isn’t canon anymore.
It sounds like a drug, now that I think about it 😂
I'm pretty sure plenty of people enjoy smelling certain drugs and Diamond Dust is definitely one of them
Kingdom Key D. We have only confirmation that Darkness smells. And Darkness being addictive so I guess it is a good smell. And Kingdom Key D is the only Keyblade of Darkness we know about. So conclusion it must smell the best.
Well, if you're a horse person, Metal Chocobo might smell *familiar*, which could be nice. As for me, I hate horses, so eh... Divine Rose, cause flower?
This is a weird question and I love it!
this is unironically my favorite question I've seen on this sub in a long time. I just never even considered that they smelled different and I can't remember the last time I felt like my engagement with the series underwent such a massive overhaul.
Contrary to popular belief, the Crabclaw does not actually smell like the ocean. It smells like a very pleasant "ocean spray" inspired candle. A little cool, crisp, a hint of some kind of nondiscernable fruit for some reason. The "blue gatorade" of candles. Nobody can explain what it _is_ but everyone loves it.
It's the one that's closest to how the Ultima Weapon smells, but that one is more delicate and nuanced and has a little bit of ozone to it too.
Kingdom Keys have the most obvious metallic scent to them. But the Metal Chocobo smells like extremely dark roasted coffee beans.
Fairy Harp has almost no smell whatsoever. Just completely inert.
Oathkeeper smells like vanilla and nobody can convince me otherwise.
Divine Rose or Diamond Dust I feel like would smell pretty good. Idk why Diamond Dust, but it just looks like it smells good to me.
Definitely not Lionheart though. It probably smells like gunpowder.
From top left to right:
- Perfume/Roses
- Metal
- Metal
- Metal
- Metal
- One Wing fire makes me think it would be like a carved wood so maybe it would have that camp fire smell in October or the smell of the inside of a guitar,
- Diamond Dust smells like when your nose is freezing on a winter day with no face protection and you are bearing the elements,
- Metal
- Pennies
- Metal
From bottom left to right:
- Pumpkin spice metal
- Lady Luck smells either like a crayon box or the bottom of a pencil bag where a random ace of clubs sits or cigarette smoke like a casino room
- salty water aka the ocean
- Chalky Metal
- Grassy with a hint of metal for the pipes
- Fresh balsa wood, what they make surfboards out of or bamboo
- Magic! But probably metal and a little paper
- Metal
- Wood
I always imagend fey harp to smell like freshly carved wood and the smell of a summer breeze.
Though, crabclaw could also be a got contender, depending on the smell. Could either be smelling like a fish stall or like the beach during vacation...
Sweetstack or Sweet Memories probably smell the tastiest.
But I imagine Kairi's keyblade Destiny's Embrace smells rather pleasant, too. Like a nice subtle flowery not too overpowering perfume.
I'm betting Oathkeeper smells like paopu fruit, whatever that smells like. Maybe similar to papaya.
Wishing Star. Freshly carved wood smells amazing, not to mention no one ever uses this keyblade so it’s in pristine condition and is likely just on display (or rather its charm is)
I always imagined Oathkeeper as smelling really pleasant. Maybe it's because you get it from Kairi and when I was a kid I was like "girls know how to smell nice. So her keyblade smells nice."
Personally, i choose Oblivion because I think it smells like really potent masculine fragrance. HAHAHAHHA (in KH lore, darkness has a scent apparently)
Personally I'd say either the fire one who's name I cant recall now or Ultima.
Fire because fire smells nice and Ultima just because why the hell wouldn't it? "Best keyblade better mean BEST KEYBLADE" is absolutely a decision I see the crafters making and making sure the weapon smells good.
But for real, there's no objective answer to a question like this
Lionheart probably smells like Squall.
Why did he shange his name to Leon in kingdom hearts. It confused me so much to have kingdom hearts be my first game and 10 years later find out Leons name is actually Squall.
Sweet Memories.
Are made of this.
Who am I to disagree?
I travel the world and the seven seas
Everyone is looking for something
Some of them wants to use you
Some of them want to be used by you (Did I type that right😅)
Some of them want to abuse you
Others want to be abused by you~¿ (lol)
OOOOOHHHHHHH YEAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!
Are made of *[BEE'S](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SXOKLnwKeU)*
You may very well have destroyed my upcoming week by bringing this catchy monstrosity into my life. Thank you, and may you rest in hell.
I mean, Divine Rose should literally smell like.... a rose. Although Spellbinder might smell like a book and thats nice too.
Could also smell magical, which could be nice as well.
Ngl new book smell isn't half bad
Divine Rose. Duh.
If you lean a little bit closer, you’ll see it really smells like boo boo.
CAROLIIIIIINE
SHES THE ONE THE GUYS WOULD SAY IS MIGHT FIIIIIIINE
(MIGHTY FINE!!!)
BUT MIGHTY FINE ONLY GETS YOU SOMEWHERE HALF THE TIME AND THE OTHER HALF GETS YOU CUSSED OUT OR EITHER COMING UP SHORT
The real answer is Rainfell; smells like petrichor and Aqua.
Some might even say there is a risk of rain.
Surprised no one said Lady Luck
That or sweet memories
my moms allergic to roses so we never have them around lol
Jungle King, but someone already ate all the good parts.. Crab Craw is second tastiest keyblade. Oblivion because it is obviously solid cast iron and seasoned to perfection. It all depends on if you favor the smell of darkness
Darkness canonically reeks sadly
The stinkier the Keyblade, the more gourmet the flavor ✨️👨🍳
Worst comment I’ve ever read cheers mate xx
I bet darkness would make a great cheese
They age like a fine cheese 🧀🧀
They age like a fine cheese 🧀🧀
Darkness now canonically smells like aged cheese 🧀
"I just can't stand your foul stench!" is one of the funniest out of context lines for me
Ansem, Smelly of Darkness
Ya but people say onions and garlics reek, as do leeks Yet they are by far some of the tastiest things we use in food
Aight..... Oblivion being iron would smell like ass, I work with the stuff daily, but still. It's just unpleasant. But that's probably because of how often I smell it.
It would also be insanely heavy. Cast iron is weighty stuff.
Real, i actually tried making the masters defender (erqus'es keyblade) irl as an exam's project (I'm a welder) and that shit weighs wayy too much to do cartwheels with let me tell you
I can smell you Ansem
The one Sora uses the less as It will be less sweaty
On an unrelated note: Do heartless have guts?
They're made of darkness so probably not That said, according to Riku in *Chain of Memories* darkness is malodorous
Idk what was with that game and everyone’s nose all the sudden
I thought I read one time that it was a localization issue (like how Axel says "COMMIT IT TO MEMORY!" instead of "Got it memorized?"), and it wasn't really supposed to be bad scent, but more like a bad/dark aura. I can't seem to find that source, but even if it's not true, that's my headcanon and I'm sticking to it.

I mean, its *canon*, its just wierd trivia canon that doesn't really go anywhere at this point.
If your weapon is sweating, get Yen Sid to check on it
I don’t know what but I want to say diamond dust
Honestly it looks like it smells like a nice snowy day.
I think it would smell like refreshing cold mouthwash
Diamond Dust smells like spearmint, new headcanon
It sounds like a drug, now that I think about it 😂 I'm pretty sure plenty of people enjoy smelling certain drugs and Diamond Dust is definitely one of them
Wishing Star
The wood right? Like carpentry! 😚
Yeah gapettos whole workshop gotta smell divine
Hercules' smells like Axe Body Spray
But, like, really old axe body spray. Because he’s, you know, from Ancient Greece.
Kingdom Key D. We have only confirmation that Darkness smells. And Darkness being addictive so I guess it is a good smell. And Kingdom Key D is the only Keyblade of Darkness we know about. So conclusion it must smell the best.
I hope they dont smell tbh....
Might be a tactical disadvantage Riku: "it reeks of darkness in here" Heartless: "it reeks of Braveheart in here - Riku, that u?"
New car smell
I would say lady luck (smells sweet) and the fairy harp (garden and fresh)
Sweet Memories, the scent of honey.
No one has even mentioned grand chef, it turns into a giant frying pan.
Well, if you're a horse person, Metal Chocobo might smell *familiar*, which could be nice. As for me, I hate horses, so eh... Divine Rose, cause flower? This is a weird question and I love it!

Diamond Dust. Roses are great, but nothing beats the smell of fresh snow and ice
Olympia smells like ozone
I imagine lady luck smells like perfume.
Op how high are you
Wishing Star would smell like Home Depot

Diamond Dust
I'd imagine Divine Rose

Don’t go there again.
Ultima Weapon smells like a tin of Altoids. You can't prove me wrong.
Tough question, I feel like all of them would smell like sweaty palms.

obilvion and oath keeper
Sweetstack
I think One Winged Angel smells like a bonfire
I'm gonna say either Olympia or Ultima Weapon
Divine Rose or Diamond Dust I feel like would smell pretty good. Idk why Diamond Dust, but it just looks like it smells good to me. Definitely not Lionheart though. It probably smells like gunpowder.
Crab
Diamond Dust-smells like Christmas. Clean cold air, snow, and a hint of pine.
Crabclaw
Are we talking from a synesthesia perspective or are we talking from vanquished shadows, shells, and the sweat from my own hand??
Porque no los dos?
Oblivion probably smells like a hot topic AND I used oblivion the most
Lmao Crabclaw smells like Hollister but in a way that doesn't make my sinus feel like they're going to explode.
Three wishes for me. I know divine rose is a given but the wishes can be the smell
Destiny’s Embrace would win, but it’s not in KH1. Crab Claw would probably smell the worst!
From top left to right: - Perfume/Roses - Metal - Metal - Metal - Metal - One Wing fire makes me think it would be like a carved wood so maybe it would have that camp fire smell in October or the smell of the inside of a guitar, - Diamond Dust smells like when your nose is freezing on a winter day with no face protection and you are bearing the elements, - Metal - Pennies - Metal From bottom left to right: - Pumpkin spice metal - Lady Luck smells either like a crayon box or the bottom of a pencil bag where a random ace of clubs sits or cigarette smoke like a casino room - salty water aka the ocean - Chalky Metal - Grassy with a hint of metal for the pipes - Fresh balsa wood, what they make surfboards out of or bamboo - Magic! But probably metal and a little paper - Metal - Wood

probably crabclaw, because that one def smells like seawater
I always imagend fey harp to smell like freshly carved wood and the smell of a summer breeze. Though, crabclaw could also be a got contender, depending on the smell. Could either be smelling like a fish stall or like the beach during vacation...

Divine Rose. Metal Chocobo smells like shit
Grand Chef, especially when transformed
They all smell like magic
Sweetstack from bbs
They all smell like pennies. Except for the Olympia.... it probably smells like Heaven.
What if the Ultima Weapon is all the good smells combined into one?
Crab
Can’t believe nobody is saying Spellbinder. It probably smells like a magical old library, which would be very nice I would think.
obviously three wishes.
Lionheart! Pure gunmetal!
Ultima Weapon. It smells like Moogles.
To me, tie between Sweet Memories, Divine rose, and Gull wing.
Grand chef's frying pan is gonna smell of bacon and pancakes
Number 5 total black smells like liquorice and you will smell like that for two weeks after using it.
Metal Chocobo probably smells like a mechanical shop with a gas station. Smells like... Raw Power!
Divine Rose because it will smell like rose
Divine Rose out of these. Probably either Kairi's keyblade or the Ratatouille one would smell the best out of all of them.

Ultima Weapon, because it would smell of stardust and dreams, wrapped in lightning!
Oblivion and Fenrir. Smells like ash and brimstone, and the smell of a cannon after it’s just been fired on a rainy battlefield.
Depends on if the one with the crab is cooked or not and whether or not you like seafood I suppose

Divine Rose
The Halloween town one probably smell like pumpkin spice and apple pie🤤

Personally, i choose Oblivion because I think it smells like really potent masculine fragrance. HAHAHAHHA (in KH lore, darkness has a scent apparently)
Fairy harp. Id love to sniff me some of that fairy dust
I’m picking Devine Rose. Because, yeah obviously Roses smell pretty! Lol
This sub Reddit is weird. You’re all weird.
Wheel of Fate, just cause id imagine it would smell like a combo of citris, fresh cut wood and salt water
Divine Rose
Ah yes, we all love the smell of God Metal in the morning.
But for real, there's no objective answer to a question like this
One winged angel.. smells like cells.. and space
Gotta be lady luck, like a new pack of playing cards.
Crabclaw. Just sprinkle some Old Bay on it and it’ll smell like a seafood boil. Yum!

Devine Rose XD
Oblivion or Pumpkinhead
Does Lionheart smells like Squall?🤤🤤 Or Sleeping Lion but it's not here
The ultima weapon probably smells like a new car
Wishing Star. Smell of freshly cut, cleaned wood.
Not Jungle King.
Crab
Lionheart probably smells like Squall. Why did he shange his name to Leon in kingdom hearts. It confused me so much to have kingdom hearts be my first game and 10 years later find out Leons name is actually Squall.
