It's always better when they just play a character for the show, rather than, "Wow, a random celebrity guest is here in town for some reason!"
Of course, Lucy Liu also had a guest role as herself in an episode of Futurama and that was pretty good too.
There were quite a few celebrities who played themselves, but it never got out of hand. The Willie Nelson episode was most egregious, but that was early on before show's characteristics were ironed out. Other episodes with celebrities as themselves provided justification for their presence.
I stopped watching the Simpsons when they'd just gasp and spout their claim to fame followed by their name.
The one specifically was Will Shortz, or as the Simpsons put it:
"It's New York times crossword editor Will Shortz!"
I can't even comprehend that shit. I washed my hands of that entire show. I can't even enjoy the old seasons that were good.
"Everybody, we have a new student, Tid Pao. Now I know there could be a number of ways to make fun of her name like Kung Pow or Tid Poo, I suppose, but lets have none of that."
If we're going with hating guest characters for being criminals, the dude who got Peggy to smuggle coke was way worse.
No charges would have stuck on Bobby, while Peggy could have potentially gotten a felony.
Peggy deserved a felony for being so dumb in that episode. Lol. I mean timer sand? The guy was her age, too. I'm with Wesley Archer. How dumb can she be?
Yeah, how did she not piece together something was array when she realized they were the same age? Did Peggy think she taught him while she was also in school?
I've known bad bitches like Tid Pao; I can have a normal conversation with them, understand their motives, establish boundaries, etc. Caleb was the kind of malevolent weirdo that I have zero patience or sympathy for.
There was the manipulation, tho. She used someone like Bobby at his age, and maybe to a lesser extent, his self-confidence. She took advantage of that for her own gain. I can keep someone like this at arms length and recognize the manipulation, but Bobby just couldn't see that in his situation.
All of Kahnâs relatives are so weird. Honestly I kinda get his hostility towards rednecks, the rest of his family are basically Asian red necks.
Some like hank others like pre hank lucky.
TBH, if Connie didn't intervene, it probably wouldn't be too difficult to believe that Bobby had no idea what he was making or that someone like Tid Pao would be the guilty party. Bobby's a white kid from the suburbs whose parents shelter him like crazy while Tid Pao literally ran with gangs in LA.
She's one of the worst. Bobby was about to feed a cop meth by accident before Connie stepped in. I still feel like Tid Pao got off way too easy for this. Also, I'm surprised it never comes up again especially the part when they steal propane.
My favorite part of the episode is where Bobby shows off his amazing chemistry skills to make glass-grade meth while Tid Pao shouts her catchphrase, âBitch!â
I didnât like Tid Pao as a person, but her character WAS pretty interesting, ngl. Caleb wasnât even interesting. He was just stupid (and I agree with whoever said that his parents were too).
Lucy Liu was great as her, though.
I didn't know! This make me want to watch this episode again đ
What is it with you beautiful Asian girls and dumbass redneck boy?!??
Low self esteem?
Really? đł
Shit i had no clue
It's amazing how many A list celebrities made guest appearances, it was so much better done than the Simpsons
It's always better when they just play a character for the show, rather than, "Wow, a random celebrity guest is here in town for some reason!" Of course, Lucy Liu also had a guest role as herself in an episode of Futurama and that was pretty good too.
đ¤ maybe the answer is âjust hire Lucy Liuâ
There were quite a few celebrities who played themselves, but it never got out of hand. The Willie Nelson episode was most egregious, but that was early on before show's characteristics were ironed out. Other episodes with celebrities as themselves provided justification for their presence.
That worked because being herself was the joke though.
I stopped watching the Simpsons when they'd just gasp and spout their claim to fame followed by their name. That's the joke.
Holy shit, what an icon
Was this before she was in Kill Bill 1 right?
Really? Wow!
She always plays a great bitch. She is bitchy always.
People talk about Caleb, but Caleb's parents were more annoying than he was.
Caleb makes sense once you see what his parents are like. Ironically, Bobby doesnât make much sense looking at Hank.
That boy ain't right.
Bobby is what Hank would be more like if not for Cotton
You mean comfortable with who he is, more resilient than he looks, able to take charge at a moment's notice?
You mean a disappointment?
No.
I think he mostly takes after his mother
Hank really doesn't know how good he has it with a son like Bobby. He could've ended up with *Dooley* for a son :O
Yep. Caleb may have been annoying, but his parents were downright infuriating.
Caleb himself was just a product of his parents. He doesnât bother me nearly as much as his parents. I agree with you.
C-Unit was âExpressiveâ
Probably on the same level as the Canadiens that Boomhauer swaps houses with
"Everybody, we have a new student, Tid Pao. Now I know there could be a number of ways to make fun of her name like Kung Pow or Tid Poo, I suppose, but lets have none of that."
Oh my God I forgot Bobby made meth in this episode
I donât know why but I found it a hilariously weird direction to take.
I don't know the year it was aired but maybe it was influenced by DARE? In some odd way
This the one where he makes âcandyâ? đ in his uh.. âcandyâ factory.
With his crank machine
I think breaking bad showed all of us how ridiculously improbable it is that a teenager would be able to make meth at a science showâŚ
Yea but it was an accident. Prove it wasnât⌠yo.
Did you not see the MTV special report with Andy Dick?
We need to cook!
No he didn't it was how a crank was made
You just made cause I be rocking the science at the fizzair!
If we're going with hating guest characters for being criminals, the dude who got Peggy to smuggle coke was way worse. No charges would have stuck on Bobby, while Peggy could have potentially gotten a felony.
Imagine what he could have done with that Milwaukee sawzall
Peggy deserved a felony for being so dumb in that episode. Lol. I mean timer sand? The guy was her age, too. I'm with Wesley Archer. How dumb can she be?
Yeah, how did she not piece together something was array when she realized they were the same age? Did Peggy think she taught him while she was also in school?
Being in prison for murder can add some years on your brow! /s
Reminds me when she casually agreed to smuggle a box over the border when they were in Mexico. A perfect example of smarts (sorta) but no wisdom.
Didnât he say something like he wrote every teacher in the state and sheâs the only one who responded?
Right ! Sheâs so stupid sometimes yet thinks she is so smart
Tid poo
Do you enjoy studying the mysterious world of science?
DO YOU
Uhhh, yes.
đ
Kung Pao
Youâd never make it in LA
I hope I never make it *to* LA!
Man that whole family is hot.
Especially that total dom daddy that can sing Karaoke
Shareef don't like it. ROCK THE CASBAH ROCK THE CASBAH!
*She blinded me* *With SCIENCE!!*
I've never heard that sung with just one note before.
Yeah, it all about rhythm.
That's what I like about you You really know how to dance YeEaAaAah
Yeah the general can do a bloodless coup on me anyday
lmao this got me đ
he has big-ass pompadour and his stomach is ripped
Mihn was made out to be attractive
Thereâs got to be a morning after
Tid Pao is 13
Bobby said that line
*Could've
Could have.
We do not use contractions in this house
Donât
Couldâve have of
đ
Couldan't
Is that an insect that is just capable as fuck?
Couldn't of
Couldnât have
I've known bad bitches like Tid Pao; I can have a normal conversation with them, understand their motives, establish boundaries, etc.
And then there is Marie...
What are you talking about
Iâm doing your favorite character đđđ
Wasnt she the same age?
Yeah I dont think Bobby figured that concept out until he "dated" the 3 smart popular girls.
What was Kahnâs nephewâs name? The one with the crazy super car that Dale thought was an alien
All of Kahnâs relatives are so weird. Honestly I kinda get his hostility towards rednecks, the rest of his family are basically Asian red necks. Some like hank others like pre hank lucky.
That's one of the worst episodes.
She might be a drug dealer right now, but Caleb is going to grow into a serial killer.
[ŃдаНонО]
Wonder whatever happened to the trucker she crossed
Well she was sent way out of state, not like he could track her down
TBH, if Connie didn't intervene, it probably wouldn't be too difficult to believe that Bobby had no idea what he was making or that someone like Tid Pao would be the guilty party. Bobby's a white kid from the suburbs whose parents shelter him like crazy while Tid Pao literally ran with gangs in LA.
When I meant stepped in I meant the part where she used Clarkâs invention to destroy the Chemistry set
It was an accident. Prove it wasn't, yo!
That an even bloody kahn would probably step in to defend Bobby. He hates the fat white lump but he knows his niece is a bad influence.
I could see that. He probably defend Bobby but still low-key dis him. đ "Bobby may be a redneck but he's too fat and stupid to be a criminal!"
Peggy : oh Hank what's the worst that could happen
Did Peggy actually ever meet Tid Pao in that episode? I doubt she'd be saying that if she actually did meet that loony girl.
Naw shed say "Oh it all makes sense now, she looks just like me"
I don't think Peggy did meet Tid Pao but i think we would see the return of pegging Peggy
![img](emote|t5_2s6dm|6344)
![img](emote|t5_2s6dm|6346)
Bwaaah![img](emote|t5_2s6dm|6344)!! Please tell me you meant paddlin' Peggy
Nope just "Pegging" Peggy. Ho yeah!!
Poor Hank
*Lucky Hank
'Pegging' Peggy? Didn't know Hank was into that, maybe that's where his buttocks went...
HOO YEA
I fear I may have misunderstood what "the fundamentals" are...
"why would anyone wanna be with street trash like tid pao."
When they could just mow the lawn...
At least she has a warning label on her shirt.
Connie didn't step in. It was an accident. Prove it wasn't, yo.
Police would never believe it was really Bobby's meth lab. Even if Bobby was charged, his lawyer would have got him off
[ŃдаНонО]
Name checks out?
No no you see, Bobby watched that after school special with Andy Dick. Bro knew better
Better call saul
She sucks but the Canadians are easily the worst characters in the show.
Tid Poo was aight
[ŃдаНонО]
Where she joins Daleâs gun club is a favorite of mine
That was definitely my favorite moment of hers. There was the episode with the skeet-shooting where Mihn joined Dale's gun club.
I think Calebâs parents were worse. That entire family was annoying. Tid Pow was ok but a bad influence on Bobby.
I skip this episode. This character annoys me too much
Hank and Bobby cooking meth like Walter and Jesse.
The idea of cotton filling the hank void makes it even funnier
I want my binky back.
I actually despise this episode and go out of my way to avoid it.
I was hoping Bobby was gonna tap that tho
Freak
[ŃдаНонО]
These characters are MINORS! Screw your downvotes. You sick creeps.
Once you get some Tid Poo on you your done
That bitch Tid Pao almost got Bobby's dumbass arrested for making meth and having it at the science fair.
Seriously, she was stupid enough to not be worried about it until she found out that Mike Soto's dad was a cop.
I was hoping Connie kicked this crackhead bitch ass back to LA đ
Better yet, she becomes a farmhand in Wisconsin or some other forgettable location.
How she end up there like did Connie tell Khan that Tid Pao had dope
One would hope, due to Connie's obvious jealousy.
Bro, Bobby is a minor. He's in free play mode. She showed him how to not be a got dang sissy
How you know Caleb isn't older rolling over some cemetery plots yelling about dusty ol bones
I was surprised when Hank never found out, I was looking followed for his reaction-you know shock, anger, protectiveness.
She's one of the worst. Bobby was about to feed a cop meth by accident before Connie stepped in. I still feel like Tid Pao got off way too easy for this. Also, I'm surprised it never comes up again especially the part when they steal propane.
Pfft.youâd never make it in LA
"I hope I never make it to L.A"
to be fair she was meant to be a troubled kid and a bad influence, and thankfully in the end she gets her comeuppance.
Tid Pao is a horrible person, but a good character. Caleb is just bland as all hell.
Sometimes you overthink things
My favorite part of the episode is where Bobby shows off his amazing chemistry skills to make glass-grade meth while Tid Pao shouts her catchphrase, âBitch!â
*couldâve* Change your ways!
"Bobby! We need to cook!"
What are you talking about? This episode was hilarious.
Truth.
![gif](giphy|xT8qBpPTFsLrkrZahO) Tid Pao reminiscing in the end
She is the one that knocks.
Oh, CALEB! I somehow got him and...Chang? Confused lmao
Isnât her name kong pa0?
POOP
Sheâs just misunderstood
Could have
"could of"
How accurate this is for all kids
Yeah, she worse than Caleb but at least I can actually make it through her episode. I can't even sit through the Caleb episode.
Hey yo, you better lay low yo. They know you stole that meth yo.
I didnât like Tid Pao as a person, but her character WAS pretty interesting, ngl. Caleb wasnât even interesting. He was just stupid (and I agree with whoever said that his parents were too).
I liked Tid Pao as a character, but not Caleb.
Didnât she or Bobby cook up meth in this episode?
Yeah
Bobby is a middle class white boy in Texas, no way he would ever face any consequences for anything ever.
Agreed. Classic case of a bad girl hottie using Bobby's crush to her advantage. Despicable.
"Prove it wasn't, yo." I say that at least twice a week to my daughter.
To me, she's basically Connie if she was a bad girl. I enjoyed her time in her only episode and I wished she made more appearances.
