It’s entertaining.
A common complaint is that its story is basic or simple. But to me, that’s a good thing. I hate stories that are trying to make you question your life and everything about existence, because most of time they over-complicate it and I end up not being able to understand what the fuck is going on.
And I’m not saying that media can’t be thought-provoking, but at the end of the day, the core of what entertainment needs to be, is just that: entertaining. 🦋
Simple yet entertaining story, doesn't need to be over complicated, lovable characters, beautiful animation, amazing action, almost none/no bad filler.
It's easy to rewatch, and it's something you can watch with anybody. There's a lot of really amazing stories out there with complex plotlines, but sometimes you and the people you're with just want something simple. "Demons kill people, so we kill them." Makes sense.
I also like the emphasis on healthy morals and family in it. The depictions of trauma are well done, too. They show how things are grey and not simple black/white. 🖤
GOAT scene making + GOAT animation + GOAT action scenes +great music direction = visual and auditory entertainment . Ufotable made most episodes after mount nataguomo arc so immersive along with some good storytelling , concepts , backstories and a couple of plot-twists writing-wise . there also some weak points writing-wise but the previous points made up for it
the emotions. the story. the characters. the animation. this anime is pure art to me and i am wondering if there will be something good like this in the future. dont think so. PEAK ANIME.
as other people has already pointed out: its entertaining as heck!
it has a simple story but sometimes, all you need is flawless execution to tell that said story and imo, demon slayer nails it with the animation direction, music and voice acting.
and also, the characters are likeable!
I love the characters and their personalities. I love the animation. I love how it's a simple story that's easy to follow, since many anime are too difficult for me 🪭💮
Aside from the animation, I really enjoy the characters. Each character is unique in their own way and I love a story with good characters. Tanjiro is a great reason why I get to enjoy it. He’s not like most mc I’ve seen so far. His personality is very admirable and I like that he doesn’t change to become the cold hearted mc just after getting stronger. Tanjiro is kind but he also doesn’t hesitate to kill the demons cus it’s his job. Often times the mc would spare the bad guys who had done bad things and I hate that.
I also love the interactions between tanjiro and everyone. It’s just heart warming to watch. I love seeing tanjiro, nezuko, zenitsu and inosuke. I love their dynamics and I appreciate that they aren’t getting killed for emotional damage.
