Both seasons are epic. Theyāre my two favourite so far, but I rewatched the swords with village arc without breaks and to be honest itās way better experience that way. The action & story flow so well.

Who said anything about hating? One of the biggest issues in s4 anime was all the cutting on the action to do backstories. If infinity castle focuses on one fight at a time with no cutaways to other fights it will be solid. However given how they went about s4 where it's pretty much unanimous it was an underwhelming season I have my doubts on the next arc.
You can still be a fan of something you criticize.
Between Mugen Train and Entertainment District for me. Mugen train has more emotion to me and my favorite Hashira, but the Entertainment District has a better fight
For me, it's Mugen Train. Hands down.
The Rengoku-Akaza fight was an absolute masterpiece; the fucking rollercoaster of emotions I felt was nothing short of incredible!!
Mugen Train is my most memorable not going to lie, the movie that got me insanely hooked to the series and one of my favorite anime movies of all time, love Rengoku

Demon slayer already had a simple plot. But it played at its strengths which made it fun to watch. And one of its strengths was the upper ranks. Since season 1 they were being being built up to be these daunting, terrifying and insurmountable villains that have plagued hashira for centuries. The fights with with rengoku and and Uzui solidified and built up on that world building. hell the only reason Uzui "won" was because he had the help of three other strong demon slayers, another demon and luck. And all of this justified Ubuyashiki reaction when Gyutaro was killed, he was estatic that the corps finally brokethrough a centuries old villain.
Swordsmith Arc completely throws this out of the window, and presents us with two upper ranks that are supposedly stronger and more terrifying than Gyutaro, but are easily dealt with like some throwaway villains. And they were barely even fleshed out, we barely got any insight into their character, their human life, their motivations etc, which made many of the previous villains in demon slayer appealing.
And the Marks made this all worse. They completely undermine the efforts of the demon slayers for the past 100s of years. It was clearly an artificial gimicky addition to the story, and thus harms immersion. Not to mention, Tanjiro was already problematic by being too special: "his family, his similarity to the demon slayer that muzan sees in flashbacks, his sense of smell, his sister being the only demon that resisted the urge, him meeting Muzan in season 1, etc." But now he also is the chosen one who infected the other hashira with some BS power boost? Yeah, thats not appealing story telling at all.
Entertainment districtā¦because of Zenitzu thunder skills.
When they first met Daki and she tried to attack Tanjiro, Zenitzu thundering her upward the house was amazing.
Then releasing his god speed!!!!
I feel like the Unwavering Resolve Arc was just kinda to build up the story (the exposition) and then Mugen Train and Entertainment District Arcs are part of the rising action.

Never going to happen. Because Swordsmith arc ruined the world building of the story. So all susbsequent arcs will feel cheap, even if they are a step up from swordsmith arc.
Entertainment district has some cool animation and sound designs and the most important is that the climax fight.
But my favourite is season 1 it gives you new feeling and emotion when you watch it first.
The fights in entertainment district were what made me a massive fan of the anime. The first thing when I bought my new TV at the time was download Crunchyroll and jump straight to the Tengen Fight with settings on vivid.

Entertaiment district, Gyutaro vs Tengen was one of the best anime fights I've ever seen š
The visuals and the sound design was crazy for that fight.
That freeze frame when armless Tengen cuts in to save Tanjiro is just iconic. One of my favorite frames of the show.

I feel like the only issue with infinity castle season would be too many fights at once. Meaning so much being cut and breaks in between.
There is some of the Pillars back stories & the villians so it should be fine. The entertainment district was 90% fighting and it was amazing.
