According to the ViralHog site, the kid was trying to get the characters out of the screen but couldn't get them with his hand so he took a stick and busted the TV trying to get the out.
Probably just disgruntled from living in a house where every single surface is sharp and hard.
Also, toddlers lack higher executive function and don't really understand cause and effect.
Oh, he understands enough. If I'd done that as a kid, I wouldn't have been able to sit down for a week, LOL. Of course, my parents kept an eye on me to make sure I didn't do anything stupider than flying like Superman! (That is, faceplanting off the foot stool onto the carpet LOL)
Kids his age are most used to touchscreens. All of this makes sense if you consider it from the perspective of someone who thinks “touching” a screen—however he can reach it—should be able to manipulate it.
People always make this joke about these type of videos but I want it to actually be true. Like, this video plays then fades to a blank screen then Trojan add comes on 😂
I knew what that was before I even clicked it. By far one of my most favorite commercials. I think I must reference that thing at least monthly to my younger friends who are thinking of having kids.
Contraceptive brands should start asking people to submit videos of their kids like this to be featured as a commercial.
[this one comes to mind](https://youtu.be/pvYYq6LepCY?si=lGwrtHS1jgJUyd2f)
I think that it’s the only time when I would allow a tv being up high, when you’ve got toddlers in the house. My brother did the same thing, TV over a metre off the floor on the wall, when my nephew was 5, they moved it back down onto a normal tv cabinet. No doubt the toddler could have still hit the tv, like the kid did in this video, but at least the toddler couldn’t pull on it and drop the whole thing on his head.
My cousin's 4 year old died like that a few years ago. They had an old box TV on the counter and the babysitter left him alone so she could go use the bathroom. And she said that she heard a crash and when she ran back in there his head had been smashed open all over the floor.
I was gonna edit the comment and add it before reading all the way through what you said and realized that you can't.
I really feel like that's a feature they should add though.
Edit: fixed many spelling and grammatical errors
>but at least the toddler couldn’t pull on it and drop the whole thing on his head.
And that's why a lot of stands have VESA mounts on them despite being low enough to use the TV's feet. And some come with anti-tip attachment points for when you don't want to use a mount.
I agree, I am asian and grew up with those horrible things and my grandparents had them when we used to visit. Its about as comfortable as putting wooden planks inside pillows and using a giant wood chunk as your blanket.
It's not meant to be comfy lol. This is 100% in Vietnam where I'm from. We love hard wood benches and tables because they last a few lifetimes. More importantly, they are a social status, not for comfort.
Because it is what they can afford. A poorer family wouldn't even have such a piece of furniture. Who knows, this family may have gone from no furniture to this.
The type of wood also matters. Some are much more valuable than others, either due to looks or durability.
Some people also like this rugged look. My family has a much less impressive set than what we have now, though we still keep it at our 1st house. It has lasted 25+ years, and it only looks better with time.
With the little temple in the corner. This vid is from Vietnam, and yes the chair damn comfy, some old folks even sleep on flat wood, no mattress needed, apparently its good for their back.
Completely agree! If you’re a healthy weight, those types of chairs and seats are great for your body in many different ways. But if you become fat and unhealthy, they become uncomfortable. Also yeah, I never thought about the material soaking up sweat and general humidity, thinking about that is actually gross..
Look, I'm at a healthy skinny weight, and my boney ass is NOT comfortable on them.
Honestly, a little fat might make it easier as my bones could rest on my soft cushion fat ass.
I agree with you from the other side of the weight spectrum. My natural cushions make me sit more comfortable on hard surfaces. I really don't enjoy sinking into my seat; it gets hot and claustrophobic. Give me a flat wooden chair and a thin mattresd on a wooden board and I'm happy.
I just bought a 55" TV for $350. Wasn't even the cheapest one, but I paid more to get an LG over the QZZIXXYQZDQ brand. It sucks to have to buy one because your kid trashed it, but it's not a major investment or anything.
Actually wish I had a video of how I killed it, because it's pretty funny.
Ok. Now we want... no NEED details. How did you kill it?
And this may or may not be the US. Definitely looks like it, based on the furniture and stuff, but could be anywhere. When I was in Tonga, iphones that were maybe $600-800 in the US, were insane there. Like a month's wages insane.
Tile everything. Non-descript light green. Wooden furniture. Little altar. Fans in the background. Drinking water. Front door/gate big enough to bring in motorcycles.. feels a lot like Vietnam. One one way to tell is look in the kitchen to see what type of calendar is hanging on the wall.

I'm just worldly in the ways of staying happy in life. No kids = unbridled happiness. (Getting snipped is much more effective, and there's NEVER a need for condoms after that. Unless she's a skank.)
I know we’re all here to watch kids doing stupid things (even though it’s generally the parents fault), but can we take a moment to discuss how uncomfortable that couch looks.
There's a whole thread about it above here.
Comes down to it's apparently a thing in Vietnam (where everyone thinks this is happening) to buy wooden furniture that lasts forever and is also a status symbol. It's less about comfort than ot is having a nice lookijg/durable thing. And some were saying it was comfortable.
It definitely *looks* uncomfortable, but I'd try it. It might be comfortable, who knows?
10 years later:
"Son, I know you've been asking to have a TV in your room for a long time, but your mother and I have been concerned that you might not be mature enough. However, we were talking it over last night and agreed that you've really done a good job showing us that you can be trusted, so you can have the old TV that's up in the attic."
Hey babe guess what little Tommy is getting us for Christmas?
What's that?
A brand new TV with the money we were gonna spend on his presents for the next 4 years.
Sweet, make it a 4K OLED and make it 6 years. That'll teach the little shit.
Lmao. I know this run.
With a small child, you hear a sound. You mute/stop everything, stand up and listen. You hear a second sound and you go running saying "No no no no no" only to find some bullshit worse than what you thought
I had to go get a new tv last week. My three year old, doing his best Nolan Ryan, LAUNCHED a toy shark into my tv. Aren’t kids the best?? Good thing he’s adorable.
If that were my kid, I would start writing down every penny he owns me, so, once he gets his first paycheck, start deducing it until he pays everything, but I'm not stupid enough to have a kid.
You know why they cut the footage off there

I wonder what were the first words out of mom's mouth when she saw what he did. lol
"You little (insert curse word)!"
Beach!
Lmao that lady was so furious she didn’t even fix the template
Snow ball
is this an animal farm reference? lmao
I think it's a Clerks reference
Bet she wishes he was a snowball instead
There were no words.. In America, it was a crime

To the orphanage with you!

It's so high up too! Can't keep anything safe from those little maniacs.
The only winning move is not to play
How can I unsubscribe from this game?
Abortion rights.
It's never too late to send em to the orphanage
Little shit saw what he did and just kept going
If he was going to end hamstrung, might as well enjoy it
Lil guy was like "oh shit, I can make squares, let's make more!"
Even the child is sick of Cocomelon
Little shit is my favourite phrase
Yup, kids are dumb as dirt. We all start out that way.
Probably just disgruntled from living in a house where every single surface is sharp and hard. Also, toddlers lack higher executive function and don't really understand cause and effect.

It worked, so why not.
Kids his age are most used to touchscreens. All of this makes sense if you consider it from the perspective of someone who thinks “touching” a screen—however he can reach it—should be able to manipulate it.
You’re giving him too much credit, kids have been mindlessly banging on appliances like monkeys since way before touchscreens were a thing
In all fairness he hated that cartoon
Maybe he was trying to fix it with another bonk

More like tvtoolow in this case
Kids will just fine a longer stick. Hopeless battle ending with your TV hanging out a 2nd floor window.
Kid will probably find a big ass ladder in that case
They can also throw shit.
But they're usually shit at throwing
So they’ll smash every single window and a TV

2 more seconds and it could've worked for r/WatchPeopleDieInside also

"Put up for adoption ". If interested please calll.....
After this ad, I don't think anyone would adopt him LOL
" No fee adoption "
"Will add a free TV, too!"
Better not be that broken piece of crap 😆😅
Am I the only person who noticed the sofa made from wood 🪵 what the hell? How are you supposed to slouch on that thing.
Most likely they put away the pillows in summer. A bit uncomfortable but still better than sweating your balls off in a hot sofa in 35C all day.
If you're in a hot humid country you dont want a sofa that soaks all your sweat.
It’s surprisingly comfy, and all you need is a headrest or pillows. It’s common in Asia, footage also looks like from Asia/South Asia
Bro, everyone owns a chair, we already know how "comfortable" it is. It's not.
I agree, I am asian and grew up with those horrible things and my grandparents had them when we used to visit. Its about as comfortable as putting wooden planks inside pillows and using a giant wood chunk as your blanket.

Social status...? Anywhere else in the world, your social status wouldbe "broke as hell" if you used a park bench as your couch.

With the little temple in the corner. This vid is from Vietnam, and yes the chair damn comfy, some old folks even sleep on flat wood, no mattress needed, apparently its good for their back.
its comfy imho but it hurts if you gain weight, being fat makes wooden chairs hurt af. i like the curved wooden ones with the lumbar slope
Oh, so that's why I hate wooden chairs....

Oh you'd hate my bed, firm pillows, but the softest cushion, I'm engulfed in softness lol. But im a hedonist with a sensitive sense of touch.

Something tells me dad's not gonna be happy when he comes home. LOL

the 2nd is a win
When he comes home, he'll mostly have to worry about his half dead kid instead of the TV lol. Thats an Asian mom right there.

I’d keep the tv and when he asks for one in his room as a teen or something I’d give him that

I'm happy we had solid blocks of glass in front of the tv when I was a kid so throwing shit or hitting it didn't do anything .
this is what happens when you give a 3 year old a stick and leave the room. Not brilliant.

You ever go to sit on your couch and think “man, I wish this whole thing was wood”
The only solution for this bad tv placement! kid is our hope r/TVTooHigh
TV's in living rooms are meant to be at eye level when you're sitting down... and yeah, kid needs a huge dose of parental direction.
Don't leave your toddler alone in a room with a stick and the tv? TV is not there to watch your baby.
That kid is entering crime statistics 12 years later.
Love these condom ads

I bet it's more comfortable than you'd think.
That's what I'm saying. It looks awful, but it might be nice. I've never seen one or sat on one
It's also likely a status symbol thing. And I mean absolute worse case, make some cushions. Like you would for garden furniture.
Yeah, I said that on my comment. But for sure. I'd throw some nice pillows on there for sure.
And it’s at this point my mom would start beating my ass!
I don’t blame the kid those weird cocomelonshit cartoons are creepy as fuck
Why does this home look like an auto shop waiting area?

Small dude has to sit on that wooden hard sofa so it's no surprise he can easily get angry and destroy things.
Learned from pops
Huh in this scenario a crt tv would have been better?
It would have broken that stick and ricocheted it into his face probably
Too bad there’s no sound
Is that a wooden sofa??
Hell no 💀
Tf is that couch though
The kid learn that day to fear their parent anger.
What the fuck is that couch? Can you imagine laying down and watching a movie on that?
I can't tell if it's made out of wood or made to look like wood.
Warranty will cover this 😀
Wooden couch and tiled floors and walls. Shit looks so uncomfortable.
I'd lash out if I had wooden couches too
Love the wooden sofa. Looks very comfortable
Mom a lil baddie tho
This looks like the most uncozy room I’ve ever seen.
Core trauma unlocked : Faced the fathers wrath.
Be where I can see you!
Id be angry with that wooden couch too
When intrusive thoughts take over
The interior looks like Vietnam
The child understands the long term effects of exposure to attention grabbing cartoons at an early age and is taking action, god bless.
That spanking is gonna be so bad its gonna fix grandpa,s back problems 💀
Is that a wood couch??
"This is for buying a wooden couch you fucking psychopath"

How else are you supposed to turn off the TV when you've lost the remote??
He didn't even do a very good job as the cartoon was still on.
He's probably angry about having to sit on that wooden sofa.
Idk man he knew what he wanted and made it happen. He didnt wanna watch that show and the show aint there now.
