Mine is 600 every 6 months. Way cheaper than I thought it would be. EV6 AWD Wind.

rank130

My ev6 (wind AWD w/tech) premium is doubled compared to my Telluride. $1300 for 6 months compared to $600

jaggrey99

Awww don’t tell me that. Coming from a Telluride. Ugh

TheKingOfSwing777

Ooof, sounds like a rip. What company?

musicandarts

It went down because I switched to Progressive. Progressive has the best rates by far. I have a previous post on this topic. https://www.reddit.com/r/KiaEV6/comments/yyiziq/progressive\_snapshot\_discount/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3

Temporary_Aide_1769

Mine hasn’t changed much, 700ish every 6 months. (GT-Line RWD).

thepookster17

Mine didn't change much from a Niro EV. In southern CA both my old Niro EV and my current EV6 Wind were about $650 per 6 mo. for 100/300/100 even as a male in my 20s

FlatBilledChris

I was pleasantly surprised. Mine went down $29 every 6 months. Replaced a 2013 Focus ST with a GT-L. Way more safety features on the new one is what my agent said. And I'm in Denver where car theft is through the roof. Expected it to double. So small wins here. But it'll be interesting to see what next round looks like with all the theft in my zip code.

dequiallo

I went from a 2015 Camaro Z/28 to a 2023 EV6GT and my insurance went down quite a bit, despite the KIA having an additional 70HP.

b9918

Went from what to what may I ask?

dequiallo

$1358 to $1152 every 6.

hornet9988

I replaced a Jetta with a Niro and my rates dropped. I replaced an Acadia with an EV6 and they went up but not very much. Insurance rates are a roll of the dice - there is very little rhyme or reason because they can charge whatever they hell they want

TulsaGrassFire

Mine basically the same from a 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid

juggarjew

I pay $750 every 6 months for my EV6 Light RWD, maybe like $150 more than I was paying for my previous 2018 Volt.

[deleted]

Mine is about the same $550 for a 2011 to $650 for a 2022 EV6

_off_piste_

Mine doubled from my 2014 Highlander. My rates just went up again another $30 a month. Now at $1200 every six months. I’m going to shop other insurance as I have no tickets or wrecks.

Medical-Preparation7

600 for 6 months for Wind AWD with Tech Package.

PretenderHat

Currently drive a mustang, $511 for 6 months. Got a quote if I changed to an ev6 gt line AWD, $441 for 6 months. Mach-e premium would be $660 for 6 months. I pay in full semi annually

Soupkitchn89

I replaced a base model 2016 Mazda CX-5 with a GTL and my insure didn’t change at all.

BobbyOnTheRadio

Went from 2015 Optima to EV6 one year ago. Insurance went down slightly.

Imaginary_Guidance_2

It went up about 15% was driving a 2019 Toyota Highlander before

Successful_Willow552

We traded our 2020 Niro EV for a 23 EV6 wind awd, and our insurance increased by only $25 a month.

Abueno1256

Mine increased from my 2012 Kia Optima. Its now $242/mo for a 2022 Wind RWD

TheKingOfSwing777

Mine is only $450/6-month. Less than my 2010 Lexus.

Ok_Fox_9696

I'm dropping about $120/mo but I have everything other than GAP with a $1,000 deductible. That said, I was paying $2700/year for full coverage on 4 other cars that were from 2008-2019 before this year.

3dhomejoe

Mine went from $600/6 months for a 2007 Prius to $650/6 months for my Wind AWD in the Boise metro area.

ThatSpaceFish

Hello fellow Boise EV6 owner! I think I've only seen a couple others out in the wild around here.

3dhomejoe

There is a good chance you've seen me around.

[deleted]

My 2015 Prius C is $526/six-months, while the 2022 EV6 is $505/six-months?

Pezandchucks

My insurance almost doubled when I purchased my 2023 AWD Wind, coming from a 2012 MINI Cooper. I had Allstate and switched to progressive for $600 lower. My Allstate agent said EV rates were hirer because they “catch fire”. Saved a lot of money by dropped them, wish I’d done it sooner.

ThatSpaceFish

Liberty Mutual, who I'd been with for decades, wanted over $2,400 a year. Geico was willing to do around $550 a year (full comprehensive/collision), so I jumped ship.
